Somehow I could feel my consciousness drifting from my body. From the outside I can see what is around me, but I cannot control my limbs that move without being ordered.
I watched my body move steadily with Hans around, my hands clutching his arms so that we walked in the same rhythm of steps. Whitney walked in front of me with her two butlers, led us down the stairs and walked toward the big door.
Two Whitney butlers moved to open the door as wide as possible so I could see the pack of wolves that were within a few meters in front of us.
My herd.
My heart skipped a beat faster as two wolves walked forward and approached towards us. One of them had eyes as green as the trees while the other had eyes glistening gray, the two of them walked unhesitatingly with a scroll caged in their muzzle.
Whitney turned to Hans and gave an eye gesture. The man immediately complied and took two slightly drooping scrolls from the mouths of the two wolves. At first glance one of their eyes was directed right at me and then nodded slowly.
I could only get fixated as Hans slowly unfolded one of the scrolls and read it silently, then handed it over to Whitney.
The woman accepted it and read it, her face looking flat when she finally handed the scroll to one of the butlers and muttered softly. "One more."
Hans nodded then opened the second scroll and started reading as before. His facial sharpness looked illegible at first then slowly frowned as he had already reached the last row of the scroll.
Whitney frowned as she stared at Hans. "What's wrong?"
Hans shook his head, he refused to answer Whitney's question and instead handed the scroll to her. Hans then turned his head towards me and looked at me with a fixed gaze that could not be confirmed, he did so for a while before finally turning his eyes back.
Whitney paled when she finished reading the scroll.
"What does this mean?" ask her with a trembling voice.
"Your father planned all this at first, Whitney," said a voice that sounded emotionless.
I turned to the origin of the voice and saw a man walking closer to our group by climbing the steps of the stairs. Will's.
"I don't understand what you mean."
"Your father did plan to die, ending his existence in this world long before we even met Thomas."
Whitney's thin face was increasingly pale, the confusion printed more clearly and her shoulders were seen rising and falling rapidly as if out of breath
"li.... It's lies...." He looked angry, his eyes gleaming red as he looked at Will sharply. "My father can't do that!"
Will shook his head. "At first your father was just trying to contact the council to have another vampire take his place overseeing this area, but his request was denied.
"She's been watching this area for six centuries, but your mother was killed in her fourth century position by rebels who infiltrated the manor and attacked people indiscriminately—"
"Where do you know that?" cut Whitney out of the blue.
"There's a file your father put in his drawer, he showed it to me before Thomas killed him."
Whitney was silent, her face was mixed. She's in shock.
"Allison," whispered someone calling me.
My body moved in response to the call as I turned to it, a guy seemed to approach us followed by a black-haired girl behind him. Dave and Emily. I turned to my body and saw that he was just looking blankly at them.
Dave looked at Whitney and Will who were still facing each other and then looked back at my face. "Where are you now?"
On here. I was about to say that when I realized that there was no sound coming out of my mouth.
"If you're here, you can touch Dave's shoulder, Ally," Emily said.
I nodded in understanding and then tried to move my hand to touch Dave's shoulder. The guy shuddered as soon as he felt my touch and closed his eyes.
He reopened his eyes that looked greener than before then drew closer to my body, his body appearing to bend down to kiss my forehead, swept to the cheeks and ended up on a short kiss above my lips.
His face moved close to my ear and whispered something I could not hear. The series of words in his whisper did not sound too obvious, but his request echoed within me, calling me to return to my body as I was.

Will clenched his hands tightly beside his body, his eyes staring at Whitney who still looked surprised at the fact he had received. The man seemed torn by his desire to approach his fiancee or keep performing the tasks he had chosen at his own pace.
'Are you sure you can do this?' chloe asked him, his face visibly sympathetic after he explained what he would do later.
Will nodded for sure. 'I must do this for his own good and for my own good.'
'Is this not the same as giving us victory?'
The man shook his head slowly, a knotty smile etched on his pale lips. 'Not really, there are a few vampires from our group left who resist this feud going on, some of them already know the truth and will build our group back–if at any time you want to play.'
Chloe shook her head. 'That's not what I meant.'
'Then?'
'What about your own feelings?'
Will smiled back. 'I'm doing fine.'
Lies.
He feels pain. It is not a physical pain that can be seen by the eye, but rather a pain that attacks his consciousness when he sees his partner suffering in silence. Of all the people who had to know this information, he made the fatal mistake of leaving everything out of control and decided to end it unilaterally.
Will clenched his fist again and began to open his mouth. "Your father was very sad when your mother died, he locked himself in his room for two months, grieved alone and refused to drink the blood supply that the manor had for the sake of his own health.
"That time you were a baby, as long as your father was grieving, you were cared for by Fay and Sara. Those who accompany, teach and accompany you as long as your father is not there beside you. Your father never saw your circumstances at all, he just focused on your mother's death and began to wait for her death—"
"Stop!"
"Hans."
Hans walked over to Whitney and handed him a small knife in his hand.
"Protect me." Whitney whispered one last time before hitting Will.
The vampires gathered behind Whitney also moved and began to attack the wolves that were advancing.
There were various sounds of growling and lashing as it went on. The wolves tear apart the bodies of the vampires mercilessly while the vampires immerse their steel-strong teeth into the bodies of the wolves to spread the poison.
Whitney's hand moved to grip Will's neck and pressed him as hard as she could, her eyes glittering red as her fiance's blood began to seep from the scratches from her elongated fingernails.
"missed me?" will asked hoarsely through his throat.
Whitney did not reply and simply put more pressure on Will's neck which began to turn blue.
The man grimaced softly and then tried to raise one of his hands to cupper the woman's face. Whitney stiffened feeling her touch, for a moment the grip of her hand on Will's neck loosened and her face seemed to shrivel as if holding back another expression appeared.
"Detach," Whitney said at last in a flat but firm tone simultaneously.
Will smiles. "I'm not going to take it off."
"Deliver!"
"No."
Whitney again tightened her grip on Will's neck, tighter than ever before so the man's neck began to blacken. The look of hate returned to her when she saw Will keep a small smile despite knowing that he was almost on the verge of death.
"I'm sorry."
"Then? Die!"
Will kept looking at her. "I'm selfish, I don't want to lose you."
His fiance slightly loosened his grip involuntarily, but still gave him the same look. "What about the others? Thomas?" Whitney swallowed her stuff that was about to come out. "I killed him with my own hands and you didn't stop me!"
"That's what he wants, he feels guilty about you. Although he doesn't know what your father wants, he's obeying his father's orders to kill."
"But-"
"I love you, Whitney."
The woman pecked, opening her eyes in shock. His hand loosened so that Will could easily grab the back of Whitney's head, pulling her closer so that her lips could meet the property of her fiance.

"You ready?"
I nodded, holding the carved peg in my hand as tightly as possible.
Dave touched my empty hand and held it gently, channeling a warm stream and calmness that I so desperately needed right now. My eyes lifted to look into her eyes, which were now looking at me, her gaze quickly gave me the confidence to do what I had to do.
I slowly closed my eyes and felt my body begin to roll. I took a deep breath for the last time then opened my eyes–a bright light immediately pierced my eyes so I closed them again for a while.
As I reopened my eyes, I began to move to run through the rest of the fight presented in front of me, bumping into some vampires and immediately approaching the back of a pale blonde woman. Without a doubt I turned back into a human being and thrust the peg deeply into the place where his heart was.
Two stifled screams immediately rang out loud in my still sensitive ear.
Whitney slowly turned her head back and looked right at me, blood flow was already soiling the lower half of her left chest and her paled mouth. His mouth seemed to open as if he wanted to say something but did not find the right words as blood continued to drip from his chest.
She looked to open her eyes once and turned to look at Hans who was standing next to Emily. Her eyes widened when she saw Emily's hand clasping Hans tightly.
"You guys...."
Whitney suddenly coughed once and grimaced with the pain before finishing her speech, her eyeballs began to look flushed and drain blood from the ends.
Another peg had been pierced into his stomach.
"Will...."
".... I'm sorry."
Whitney took a gurgling breath for the last time before collapsing in the hand of Will who greeted her.
I turned my gaze to Will and then approached him, the man's face looked very pale and blood still continued to seep out from the side of his neck.
"Thank you."
"Together."
"We wouldn't be able to get here without your help, Will."
He smiled weakly. "No problem."
"Are you-" I can't continue what I said when I saw her.
He shook his head without saying anything, his hands moving slowly over the surface of Whitney's face which still looked the same as it used to be even though the blood still adorned some of her parts, but it was still there, stroking her strands of hair for a while then started to close her eyes.
Will falls down following his fiancee.
