Wayne finds Emily limpid, automatically moving to catch the girl and hug her. The weight of his body made him gasp, but his body felt perfectly fit in his arms, his breathing sounding regular like he was asleep. The male's eyes immediately focused on the displeased-looking Way before him.
"What are you doing?" tanyakanya.
"Making him sleep makes you mine, of course. What else is it?" answer the way with rhetorical questions. He turned his gaze at Jordan and raised his chin towards them. "Fold him tightly. Then you," He pointed at just any vampire. "Help Jordan."
Jordan did not argue and immediately approached Wayne. She was seen hugging Emily as tightly as possible, unwilling to let go. The vampire breathed. "Don't make it hard, let him go and go back home."
"Can't."
"Why? Do you feel a responsibility to protect her?"
Wayne didn't answer, he was thinking. His physique was human, but he could feel the power of the shape-shifting chick flowing within his body. If running around carrying the weight of two people at once, even with the added strength, he was unsure of his plan to pierce through the bunch of vampires that were all around them at once. They're too many.
"Wayne, come here."
She refused to look at the woman, from her tone and the air around her, she could feel the controlling power of Cara was looking for a gap to master her as well. Of course he can't allow that. Without thinking any more, he ended up twisting his body with Emily in his arms and ran as fast as he could through the vampires.
No one stopped him as he kept running without looking back again. He only ran following his faint instincts and memories as he passed through the forest, reentered the residential area and continued running until he reached the border region.
Wayne paused for a moment to catch his breath still hunting. The neutral territory was empty, he did not see or feel the existence of other vampires around him as usual. It should be safe to stop here for a moment, he was quite tired and surprised to be able to get through that bunch of vampires so quickly.
Allegedly wrong.
"Emmy!"
Wayne immediately turned and looked at a younger woman, from him and Emily, approaching them. Two men and two women followed him from behind. The five men had the same impression as Emily, but the women who approached them first as well as the taller men had a much stronger impression.
"Who are you?"
The red-haired woman ignored his question. "What happened to her?"
"We're friends with Emily" replied the woman who first approached her soothingly with a smile. "I'm Allison, this is Dave and Emily's sister, Hans. Then who asked—"
"I'm Chloe, she's Grace." Cut the red-haired woman. "How is he doing? We should check it out."
"He's sleeping, a vampire told him to."
"Then you didn't stop him?" Chloe looked at him with a piercing look that looked terrifying.
Allison touched the woman's shoulder. "Calm down, Chloe. He's human." He looked towards Wayne. "Are you the mate?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Good—"
Allison cut off her words and looked behind her. Wayne felt himself being pulled forward all of a sudden, the tall guy and the girl who had not said anything from now on immediately made a position to block them from the view of the newcomers.
"Well, whoa, what's going on? We have an interesting guest."
Wayne can feel the tension flowing from those around him, but Allison, who first spoke to him, looks calmer. He could feel the faint firmness of his voice.
"We came to pick up our members" he said.
"Sure, please." Jordan answered without hesitation. "We don't care about the feather creature, but the man can't come along. Isn't that right, Cara?"
"really. He's been like family to us."
Someone snorted laughing hearing that remark. Wayne stared at the shoulder of the woman who had not spoken it moved like it was holding back a laugh, on the contrary, the man who was beside him was seen sighing tiredly.
"Grace .. don't."
Grace, the girl, stopped her laughter with a cough and smiled. "Of course, it's funny. Is your 'family' always chasing vampires this much?" He makes a gesture that shows a group of vampires being controlled behind Cara and Jordan. "And their eyes, my goodness, can't you be any clearer?"
"Yes .. Their eyes are too bright." Jordan looked at the other vampires around him and blinked one eye at Grace. "I like your honesty."
The woman snorted, smiling obliquely at Jordan's response. "Thank you."
"Wayne was already a member of our group, so he's coming along" Allison said. "I hope you can let us go since we're already in neutral territory."
"can't. Emily entered this territory without permission and made a mess, do you think we can allow that?" ask the rhetorical way.
Allison fell silent. Chloe who previously looked confident did nothing either. They seem to be stuck because of their unpreparedness about this.
"Can't answer, right?" How to smile disparagingly. "Strike them! Don't let that man get hurt."
The vampires immediately moved in command.
"Follow me."
Wayne gasped for a touch on his shoulder, but when he turned his head, a grey-haired wolf greeted his gaze. The wolf made a gesture so that he would immediately go up, the man complied and immediately boarded with Emily.
The wolf ran quickly, returning to the vampire territory. The grip on the wolf's fur was quite difficult, plus she also had to hold Emily back from falling down with her body, but this wolf seems to run by counting the twigs or ashes that are in their path so that he does not experience additional difficulties.
The wolf stopped in the interior of the forest. Wayne immediately came down and saw the figure materialize back into a figure that looked familiar.
"He should have woken up, we're pretty far from the vampire."
"It seems so .. but he's quite exhausted."
Hans looked at. Looking closely, the man was increasingly similar to his older brother. "What do you mean?"
"I don't remember for sure, but they've been bothering him lately. Because I'm."
Hans looked at her then at her brother and shook his head. "It's not your fault, my brother is stubborn and he intends to protect you regardless of himself, of course he's tired."
Wayne rubbed Emily's black hair that remained neat on her lap. "I'm really weak."
"Not really." Hans extended his hand to Wayne. "Remove your hand and position Emily's head slightly upright, leave her mouth open."
The man did what he had to do and stretched out one of his hands. Hans quickly scratches a small wrist and then sticks it to Emily's open mouth.
There was originally no response, but then his mouth started moving for a while and a final lick followed. Emily opened her eyes, looked at Hans who grabbed one of her brother's hands and clasped it tightly, then turned her eyes to Wayne. "Why is it so long?"
"He doesn't know. You should have told him before 'sleep'."
"I couldn't. Imagine if you were surrounded by a city of vampires? Panic? Yep. Moreover, I was alone and at that time Wayne was unconscious." The woman tried to get up to sit down and groaned a little because of the remaining wolfsbane in her lungs. His expression showed discomfort clearly.
"No need to look at me like that, I'm fine," she smiled slightly and grabbed her face with one of her hands. "I don't blame you for what happened, okay? My goal is to get you back."
Wayne was silent to see the smile on Emily's face and was surprised by the kiss that suddenly landed on his lips, his mouth felt stiff because it was still shocked so Emily had to persuade him. Blood immediately splashed on his tongue as his mouth opened and then the kiss ended.
"My mate." Emily's smile was perfect on her face. "Finally."
The man gave him a kiss in return, smilingly looking at the couple all his life. "I'm back, Em."
