"What do you want to do?"
The vampire girl smiled slightly in response to the question. "Kill like we did before, Alex," he said. "Have you started forgetting that wild pleasure?"
He sighed in frustration. "They're just kids."
"Kids if they are stubborn and think something is right, then they can do something beyond our shadow" he said coldly. "You know that better."
Alex was silent at his words. Vampire girls are right, but they did all that half a century ago, with no rules and in an area so remote that no one ever knew it.
After moving here, killing for fun just doesn't make sense. They live well here and have a large blood stock of criminals who want to be put to death—although it feels too sticky and greasy.
And the vampire chick likens the past to the present for reasons so trivial behind her decision. He can't let it.
"Do you want to run away?" ask the vampire girl suddenly. Her face looked flat, but she knew that she hated this situation. Especially because they are in a dispute.
Alex closed his mouth. "I'm trying to stop you from doing something stupid."
"With what?" The vampire girl suddenly looked amused. "Your ability is just to make something real unreal, what can you do with it?"
The vampire guy did not reply, he just walked over and quickly kissed her. Smiling slanted until his body slowly turned into tiny particles in front of the vampire chick.
"Oh, shit. Alex." - Alex."
The vampire looked flabbergasted at her, realizing what Alex had done to her as her body disappeared.
"Never let your guard down, you know that better." He repeated the girl's words before completely disappearing.
...|•|...
To Alex, the vampire chick was someone he already considered to be like his own brother. Although they are 50 years old and have a different background. Previously the vampire girl felt the same for him, but since the appearance of the human, he moved away from her and got closer to the guy blatantly.
Not that the vampire guy is jealous. They have lived side by side for 1 and a half centuries and know each other's strengths and weaknesses and look after each other as well.
But time passes and everything will eventually change. Even with that very real togetherness.

"What did you do to Amanda?" emily asked in surprise when she saw him lifted off the floor and moved to the top of the bed.
Alex grinning. "Make him fall asleep, of course."
Emily looked at the man until the grin on his face disappeared.
"Okay, okay. I'll reduce my seriousness." He spoke with a forced smile and shrugged his shoulders indifferently.
"What are you doing?" ask him again.
"Make something real unreal."
"I made him forget me or rather make myself unreal before him." Alex turned his face away and stroked Amanda's forehead gently. "When he wakes up, he won't look at me literally."
"You mean ... like a ghost?"
He's nodding. "More or less so."
"You also managed to do that to the vampire girl." Emily said again without hesitation.
"Well," he said with a look that was almost heartbroken. "You guessed it right."
Emily just shook her head. "Despite that, I still don't understand why that vampire chick could be exposed to your abilities. He should be very careful, right?"
"Not really, there were certain moments where he dropped his guard and besides, we've known each other for so long that he trusted me more than anyone else" he said.
"And you betrayed him at that very moment."
Alex raised his eyebrows. "You're saying it like I'm the bad guy here."
Emily shrugged her shoulders, she was just trying to judge the vampire who was going to help her. After all, he could not trust anyone, especially the vampire ex-accompanion of his enemy, so easily.
"What about Amanda?"
Alex grimaced softly and came back grinning. "That's for overall personal reasons, but with her current condition, we can take down that vampire chick without interruption and only with our abilities if put together."
"You sure?"
"Hm, not really." Alex frowned. "There's someone else who can help us."
Emily rolled her eyeballs. "You want to keep me asking?"
Vampire guy's grinning. "Jordan."
"Jordan?" Emily frowned. "I feel like I've mentioned his name before, even though I forgot exactly when." He looked at Alex. "Do you."
"It's true." He snapped his finger. "But it's not important for now. You'd better take a break and let me watch a slick drama at home before tonight. I want to relax after using my ability twice."
"Painful drama." Emily repeated it in a tone of disbelief, almost disgust.
Alex shrugged his shoulders while coming back to grin. "Don't blame me, the drama is often interesting in strange ways. Especially the excessive crying and evil attitude of the character was also something else that could not be said."
"I didn't expect your spectacle tastes to be bad." He shook his head. "Forget it, don't say back. I want to sleep."
Alex turned his grin into a normal smile. "Rest in peace, Em."
Emily rolled her eyeballs, grumbling, before entering her room next to Amanda's. "I'm not dead, Alex."
