Dizziness. It was the first thing he felt upon waking from his sleep that felt so short.
His hand was raised to touch his forehead which has been throbbing in pain ever since the dream came to him, every night before and over again, since five months ago.
He did not understand at all the pieces of blurred images that had always existed in his dreams, not showing clearly the form of someone who always wandered in his dreams without permission.
Suddenly a person's eyebrows slightly furrowed and his lips pinched in a tight braid to hold the ringing that was about to come out of his mouth.
Scenes of dreams soon flashed quickly across his head in turn, showing two boys of different ages with a girl running around in a shady garden due to the abundance of trees, which he saw, a pair of adult men and women sitting side by side smiling and another woman standing with a camera in her hand to photograph the three children.
He pressed his throbbing forehead again when the flash of the dream changed to show the face of a boy who was about 10 years old running up to him with a big smile and cheerful sparkling eyes typical of small children who invites to play, at that time he can feel his heart warm up when the boy immediately clasped his hands and invited him to run to a place to play more freely.
"Please come after me if you can, Em!" the boy suddenly let go of his hand.
The boy seemed to laugh happily and ran quickly leaving the girl on purpose.
"Wayne, wait for me!"
The boy kept laughing while uttering various typical taunts of the little boy that made the girl upset, unconsciously he began to accelerate his run towards the boy.
"Caught!" exclaiming Em hit the boy's back with his hands wrapped around his neck. A mischievous smile was etched on his lips. "You lost, Wayne~"
"Ah, bitch, let go of me, Em!"
Em laughed in satisfaction and finally released his hand from the boy's neck. "I'm not bad, am I, Wayne?"
Not answered.
"Wayne?"
The girl smiled and then kissed the boy on the cheek. "Don't you get mad, Wayne?"
The flash of the dream was cut off and replaced with a pair of little little little fingers intertwined, forming a promise spoken from each of their mouths. A girl looks like she is crying while a boy in front of her is seen displaying a big smile to calm her down.
"We will definitely meet again, Em," said the boy hugging her.
Em sobbeds and rubs his eyes. "You promise?"
"Yes, I promise," he let go of a hug. "Don't forget me, huh?"
The girl nodded. "You too...."
"definitely. Bye, Em~"
Stop over. It was only until there that the dream showed itself every day.
In the end he will wake up breathless after finishing a marathon run and then continue his usual activities-sweeping and watching TV.
But this time it's different.
He can finally see the fuzzy form of his dream and realizes that he must find it soon. He could feel the dizziness in his head being replaced with a strange rumble in his chest.
He's got to find her.
That boy.
Wayne Thompson's.
