100 Days of Being a Widow

100 Days of Being a Widow
Part 37 Day 75: Accepting Destiny

Almost a week since the incident with Dani. Rania decides to take a leave of absence and flies to Aceh to meet her family. It had been a long time since his separation that he had not visited his hometown. Aceh Banda.

Getting to Banda Aceh takes almost two hours drive from Jakarta. His two children he brought with him.

Azka and Zidan were very enthusiastic about enjoying the trip to the newly stepped place. Yep... Azka and Zidan visited Banda Aceh for the first time.

The Rania family welcomed with joy. Malik's father picked them up at the airport in a motorcycle rickshaw. A Honda GL Pro motorbike modified with rickshaws that became the hallmark of the Earth Makkah portico.

Azka and Zidan seemed to enjoy the trip to the house using a motorcycle rickshaw.

A few days in Banda Aceh, Malik's father invited Rania and his family to visit his father's hometown in a small sub-district in Lhokseumawe North Aceh Regency. The journey there takes five hours.

His father's hometown is located in a village in Seunudon District. A place close to the beach. Only less than 200 meters from the lips of Lhok Puuk Beach.

Lhok Puuk Beach is famous for its beauty as a purple beach. Yes the water is purple due to algae algae that are reflected by sunlight.

Being in that village, Rania like reminiscing about her childhood. When he often invited his father to this beach. Malik's father taught Rania about a philosophy of the sea.

Rania My son,

Make your heart as vast as the infinite ocean

What limits you is faith and fear, not man.

Make your soul like a wave that leaves no foam if it has passed.

Do not make revenge as a stored foam.

It's the world, Rania

The higher you are, the more wind you face

So never feel incapable.

Be a vast ocean without boundaries

What limits you is yourself

Faith and piety

Step your foot into the ocean.

Don't avoid the waves, because you can't

Face, learn and work hard

And, get out of the waves by achieving the goal, not coming home because of the lack of challenge.

Ah...Malik's father seemed to know what his daughter would face overseas. Brought by people, but thrown away.

Looking out toward the ocean. Rania's mind feels sidetracked from the harsh reality of her household.

Rania's children are engrossed in making kites from bamboo skeletons. His skeleton formed a dragon. Malik's father made the kite a symbol of the brave and unyielding red dragon. To him, these two grandchildren were the protectors of his mother. Those who will be the foundation of the strength of Rania untum are able to pass through critical times as a single mom. Malik's father realizes that Rania is in a transitional phase, a phase that determines whether she will become rigid or wasted. Therefore, the support of the family system should not be considered trivial, and the only Rania family in Jakarta is Azka and Zidan, men who are less than seven years old.

A dragon kite was ready to be flown. It's sunny this afternoon, and the wind is blowing pretty hard. The four-meter-long dragon skyline with a width of two meters was ready to be flown. Azka and Zidan greeted enthusiastically. Their smiles and laughter are the spirit of Rania.

Azka was in charge of holding the dragon's head, Zidan holding the dragon's tail to keep its weight balanced. Malik's father pulled the rope at a distance of five meters, preparing to give a signal when the right time to release the dragon kite.

"Come on Azka, ready.....!"

"Ready cake!"

Azka

"OK...1....2.....3.....let go!!!"

Late afternoon. Children prepare to perform the jama'ah prayer. Malik's father became his priest, while Azka proclaimed the Adhan. There is a sense of haru in Rania's heart. The coveted family atmosphere. Full of warmth, education and example from parents. The decision to take time off and go home to the parents, is the right decision. Rania needs her father. He needs help to organize his heart, set his mind so that when he returns to Jakarta, he is ready to face life with his two sons.

After praying together, children learn to teach. Malik's father targeted Azka to pass volume 6 before returning to Jakarta, and promised to hold a circumcision ceremony for him, if he managed to enter the volume of the Qur'an. Azka is motivated and very passionate about teaching.

Rania looked at Haru, the family warmly welcomed her. Miss Murti, Rania's mother invited Rania to prepare dinner. Sambal shrimp and keeung tamarind broth fish typical of Aceh. Rania helps to peel the onions.

Bu Murti looked at Rania's face carefully. There was a fine stroke on Rania's forehead. He looks older than his age. Selected face without skin care and clothes that look shabby, making the heart of Bu Murti touched.

"Rania, son..."

Rania raised her face, looking at her mother. As if caught daydreaming.

"I really want you to be happy, son"

"Whoever on this earth would not want his life to suffer Ma'am"

"But, you're alone in your troubles, son, there's no us as your family there"

Rania breathed. He understood the direction of his mother's conversation. He had long offered to let Rania live in her hometown. Start a new life and forget about Jakarta.

"Mom. Rania's answer is still the same"

"Rania mom please don't be stubborn, son, I'm worried about you and the kids"

Murti was starting to be unable to control his emotions. Show how much he worries.

"dad said, this is part of the risk to your life. Coming home means loser. Don't the kids still need his papa figure. The attention he can get from Grandpa Malik, but they must be taught to accept fate, ma'am. I don't want to lie to the kids that everything's okay, and just get replaced. I want children to learn to accept their condition and mold themselves into people who can survive under any circumstances".

Rania approached her mother, holding her mother's hand that was trembling with tears. Rania hugged her mother.

"Mom. Give me confidence that I can get through this with the kids"

"What Rania said, Mom".

Malik's father approached a pair of mothers and children who were hugging.

"I taught him to face problems, not run from problems. I want him to face these times. Then immediately she stopped her crying, got up!. For tomorrow when she returns to this house, she has become a successful mother. Success in self-building, career building, and successful care and education of children. Making room for Rania in this house will only keep her from trouble. Let us not die carrying lara and endless grudges. Go and face it. Come back and win your life!".

Malim's father then hugged Rania. No crying. Rania also learned to hold back tears. Only sins are worth fighting. Not a problem, not destiny. For everything that happens, will never happen, without divine providence.

A week with her family, Rania becomes more determined to start a new life. Work with a new spirit. Life for him and for his children. Not for revenge, not to show anyone that he is capable.

Live for yourself

Not to pay for revenge

Because happiness is simple

See what needs to be done

Finish it, accept your destiny

So that tomorrow you can face your new destiny.
