Dimas ran a little down the hospital corridor. Both of his eyes continued to move in search of direction towards a room he was headed to. His chest continued to rumble violently feeling an overwhelming panic. His heart thumped even louder with the fear that enveloped his feelings.
With breath hunting without rhythm, he finally found the room he was looking for. A fairly spacious inpatient room prepared for one patient only, equipped with high-class facilities for the patient's family.
For a moment he looked inside from the glass hole in the door of the room. There were two women waiting in there. They both stood on the right side of the bed opposite a nurse on the left side who was checking the flow of intravenous fluids to the patient's body.
An infusion needle stuck in the back of the patient's left hand that kept his eyes closed without any reaction. Just silent sculpting and drooping weakly helplessly on the bed with the patient uniform he wore and a plain blanket covering half his body.
Dimas let out a deep breath before entering the room. He arranged his heart first so as not to look fragile while inside later. After his heart started to calm down, his hand grabbed the handle of the door in front of him then opened and pushed him carefully.
As soon as the door opened, he slowly stepped his foot into the room and approached the bed. He stopped right at the end of the bed and nailed his gaze to the top of the bed. One of the women he knew immediately greeted him.
"Night, Dimas."
Dimas nodded his head to return the greeting of a woman who was none other than Nadia. His mouth was still reluctant to open his voice because he was more focused on paying attention to the condition of the woman lying weakly before him.
(Al, what happened to you?)
Shortly after Dimas entered, the nurse who had finished with her duties left the room.
Dimas switched positions to Alila's left side. He could clearly see the beautiful face that was now paled. His chest suddenly felt very tight, holding something that seemed to want to spill through his eyes.
His left hand touched Alila's left hand lightly wrapped in a bandage to cover the prick of the infusion needle on the back of her hand. Slowly she placed her hand under Alila's and grasped it very gently without wanting to hurt.
His right hand stretched out over Alila's head, stroking her and stroking her hair in a stupor. There was a small wound on the right forehead that had been covered in a square-shaped white bandage. His heart grew more painful as if he felt all the pain suffered by his future wife.
"I'm sorry I called you on Alila's phone. I was panicked and confused as to who to call, while Alila was delirious several times to call your name."
Nadia gave a brief explanation about herself who half an hour ago contacted Dimas using Alila's mobile phone to inform him about the accident Alila experienced at a tourist valley inn.
Nadia was on her way back to their town. Nadia comes home and accompanies Alila in the ambulance because she is one room with Alila and is good friends with her.
The committee asked Nadia to contact Alila's family and reported that Alila would be taken to a hospital that worked with the company to undergo further treatment after getting initial treatment at a public clinic located in the neighborhood.
When packing their belongings in the room, Nadia found Alila's phone in a dead condition and when it will be turned on it turns out the battery runs out so it must be recharged first.
Until finally some time before arriving at the hospital, Alila's phone can be turned on and Nadia immediately look for Dimas contacts to contact.
"How is he doing now?"
"He hasn't been conscious since the inn. But his overall condition has returned to normal. Said the doctor who examined there, Alila had experienced mild symptoms of hypothermia."
"But for the condition of the bones, tomorrow can only be obtained the X-rays." Nadia.
"Bone? Did he fall?" Asked Dimas with an increasingly worried face.
"Yes, he fell down the stairs and rolled down. I hope there's nothing serious about the fall." Answer Nadia.
Then the woman next to Nadia who is one of the committee or senior employees, explained in detail the chronology of the incident that happened to Alila according to the testimony of witnesses who saw it.
"Wood? Who her? And why would Alila want to talk to him?"
Dimas feels familiar with the name, but he can no longer remember when and where he was connected to a figure named Bayu.
"He's a group with me and Alila. Earlier we didn't know each other because he had different divisions of work with us."
Dimas put aside his thoughts and questions about Bayu. His attention was returned full to his beloved lover who never realized and opened his eyes.
Fifteen minutes later from Dimas' arrival, Alano came alone with a panicked face. He walked in without knocking on the door and quickly walked up to Dimas and stood beside him.
"How's Al right now, mas?" Alano asked, looking at her beloved sister's face.
"He's fine. Soon he will regain consciousness.
(Wake up soon, Al. Don't scare me like this, my dear.).
Because there were family members who accompanied Alila, Nadia and her senior said goodbye because the time had also shown eleven o'clock at night. Before leaving, Nadia handed Dimas all of Alila's belongings including her bag and cell phone.
There remained the two of them, Dimas and Alano, who were now standing opposite to Alila.
"You haven't told papa and mama, have you?"
Alano shook his head. Dimas asked her not to tell her parents first. He wanted to make sure Alila's condition first so that his parents did not panic and worry about Alila excessively, especially late at night like this.
Alano himself reasoned to stay at his friend's house so that he could accompany Dimas in the hospital tonight. Both parents did not ask much because it is Sunday night and Alano did often stay at his friend's house on weekends like this.
"We wait for Alila siuman first, tomorrow morning we will announce the situation to papa and mama."
Alano picked up the two available chairs in the room and brought them for herself and Dimas to sit next to Alila.
Dimas accepted it and immediately pulled the chair and sat right in front of Alila's hand. He again placed his left hand under Alila's palm and grasped it gently as before.
His right hand stroked Alila's arm slowly accompanied by a prayer in his heart so that his future wife would soon be aware. She missed the beautiful eyes Alila looked at her and gave a loving look to her.
Sitting opposite Dimas or on the right side of Alila's bed, Alano watched Dimas silently. He felt calm as he looked at Dimas who was so affectionate and attentive to his only brother.
From Dimas' attitude towards Alila long ago, he could already tell how much the man loved Alila so deeply from the bottom of his heart.
(Thank you, ma'am. You have loved Mbak Al so sincerely and lovingly.)
Time had passed thirty minutes when Dimas felt a small movement in his hand. His eyes widened to confirm what he had just felt in his hand. And now he really saw Alila's fingers twitching and returning his grasp.
"Dim..." The sound of Alila's soft voice made Dimas and Alano stand together and approach towards Alila's face.
Dimas smiled with relief to find that Alila's pair of beautiful eyes had opened and looked at her gladly. Instantly his heart was worried, feeling an extraordinary calm accompanied by a haru feeling that burst forth created subtle rushes that were filled with gratitude and happiness.
"I..."
Dimas was getting closer to the face of Alila who kept looking at him. He kissed Alila's soft forehead with his eyes closed full of feeling.
Alano let the beautiful moment happen before her eyes and was witnessed by her. He also thanked in his heart to see his brother had regained consciousness and showed a happy smile when he saw Dimas was beside him.
"Where am I now?"
Alila looked Dimas in the eyes and then spread her eyes around until she saw his sister on the right side of his body.
"Alano." i..."
Alila's right hand moved slowly reaching for her sister's hand which was still holding the edge of the bed. Alano replied and clasped Alila's hand with both hands.
"You're in the hospital, ma'am. Don't move much yet." Alano Pinta.
Alila nodded slowly then turned her gaze back to Dimas who continued to fondle his head with all love. His heart was filled with a sense of haru and happiness that mixed into one.
"It's still midnight. Go back to sleep, Al. I'll take care of you here."
Alila smiled and nodded her head.
"Lan, you too, sleep there. I will rest here while accompanying Alila."
Alano obeyed the orders of his sister-in-law. He took his hand off Alila's hand and turned back and walked towards the long sofa that was located close to the wall of the room to the right.
He took off his footwear and laid his body on a cushioned sofa that immediately cradled his eyes to immediately close and rest his body which was already tired.
Looking at Alano who had closed his eyes, Dimas again nailed his gaze to Alila's face which still looked a little pale. Those beautiful eyes had not been closed yet, just continuing to look at her heartily made her tremble again.
"Sleep, baby. I'm here with you."
Dimas kissed Alila's forehead and then went down to her cheeks, making Alila's pale face turn red as it blushed with a happy look. Dimas smiled seeing the change in his lover's face.
"I miss you so much, Al. Ilove you.."
"I miss you too, Dim. I love you so much.."
Dimas instantly closed his eyes as Alila's right hand extended towards him and gently stroked his face. With his eyes closed Dimas so permeated the softness of Alila's hand caresses that his heart rippled violently and his eyes felt wet.
