Dimas drove his car at a moderate speed.
"Where are we going, Dim?"
"To my house."
Alila's eyes were rounded. She knew Dimas was living alone in his house. Both of her parents live and manage a family business out of town along with her sister's small family. He had come to Dimas' house many times, but was always with his other friends. Never alone with Dimas.
Fifteen minutes later, they arrived. Dimas invites Alila into the house and sits alone in the living room. The door he deliberately left was wide open, so that Alila did not think badly of him.
"Al, about what you said there ...."
"Dim ...."
"I'm not very good at words, Al. I can only say anything. So, just listen to me."
Dimas sat next to Alila. She looked at Alila's face with an unusual gentle look.
"Al, I've known you for four years. I knew you before I met all my lovers. I was close and loved you long before I had a relationship with them all. And you know how I feel about them."
"You know, Al. I am so happy to share so much with you all this time. I'm thrilled to be spending most of my time with you and making so many sweet memories with you."
Alila could not at all guess the direction Dimas was currently talking. He can only listen to it.
"I just want to make one thing clear to you, Al. I want you to know that being with me all this time is something I'm more concerned with than anything else. I will never ignore your existence, even if I'm with someone else."
(Yes, Dim. You never ignore my existence, but you ignore my feelings for you.)
"And what you need to know again, Al. You have understood and understood me the most. You know all about me. But you always respect my private territory. You never want to mess with my personal problems, even if you know about them."
"I feel so comfortable with you, Al."
"So, as long as we're together, don't worry about the two of us."
Dimas was still staring fixedly at Alila's face. The woman was silent from then on. Follow his request to listen.
"I ...."
Alila turned her head to the side, looking at Dimas' face that was very close before her.
(Your eyes made my chest pound, Dim.)
"I understand, Dim. I believe you."
"I'm sorry I was so late in my own fear."
(It is precisely I who fear to lose you, Al.)
Dimas smiled back. He started to bother Alila. "Where's your smile, Al?"
"So I put it to you. Now where, give me my smile back?" answer Alila.
Dimas widened his smile and Alila smiled as beautiful as ever.
(Thank you, Al.)
Dimas stood up and took Alila to follow him out of the house and immediately locked the door.
They got into the car and left Dimas' house.
"Where else are you going, Dim?"
"Watch."
"Huh? We're going back there, Dim?"
"Why?"
"It's okay, just ...."
"What's up, Al?"
"I'm hungry. Listening to you speak at length earlier, the worms in my stomach immediately protested ...."
Dimas laughed at Alila's words.
"We'll have lunch first. Just got back to the movies."
Finally they chose lunch at a fast food restaurant in the mall. They don't want to miss getting into the cinema.
Inside the cinema, the lights were still on waiting for the movie screening time for a while longer.
"What movie do we want to see, Dim?"
Because of hunting time, Alila did not have time to pay attention at the door of the theater where they entered and what film they would watch.
"Cannot be. You're a coward, Dim."
"You underestimated my courage?"
Dimas's face drew closer to Alila's face almost without distance, just as the lights began to turn off. Alila was suddenly nervous without daring to move in the slightest.
Inside, only the look of their eyes were seen staring at each other.
(Dim, you made my heart feel like it wanted to come out.)
(Al, your eyes are beautiful in this darkness.)
The loud sound of the opening audio shocked the two of them. Dimas pulled his face and sat back down leaning back in his chair. Alila tried to normalize her heartbeat.
The movie starts playing. Alila breathed a sigh of relief, it turned out that the film they watched was not a horror film like Dimas said earlier. But romantic drama movies.
The first few minutes passed in silence between them. They often go to the movies, but always crowded with others, or at least three, never the two as they are today.
Alila was still sitting enjoying scene after scene of the movie that started to feature romantic parts. He was still trying to focus even though his heart and mind were not fully enjoying, as he was aware that he was only alone with Dimas.
Alongside Alila, Dimas no longer enjoyed the movie. She preferred to look at Alila's face still staring at the big screen before them.
With very minimal illumination from the screen in front there, Alila's face seemed to sparkle with flashes of light from the scene alternating.
(Why is your face so much more attractive than that movie, Al.)
A romantic scene featuring a couple kissing and fondling, Alila is shocked and immediately turns her face to the side, facing the face of Dimas who is still staring at her.
Their views meet again. They were both silent and both held their eyes. I don't know what's on their minds, but they are reluctant to stop the debate.
Finally, Alila who first ended the romantic scene ala the two of them. He continued to enjoy the film even though he had missed the storyline. Dimas smiled at the look on Alila's face.
(Why do I realize now that you're so charming, Al.)
The lights came back on and dazzled the eyes. Dimas ended his gaze towards Alila. He stood up with one hand grabbing Alila's hand and grasping her. They both walked out of the room without a word.
In the car, the silence continued. They were still in the mood in the cinema.
"Why did you ask me to watch it but you didn't watch the movie yourself?" Alila asked with a look out the window.
"Because there's more interesting to watch than the movie." Dimas did not take his eyes off. Stay focused on driving looking at the streets.
Alila remembered Dimas's eyes in the cinema earlier. Also the views of those who clashed for quite a while there. His cheeks frowned for a moment. He bit his lips trying to hold back a smile. He turned his face to the side, not wanting Dimas to know.
"Not to be hidden. I already know." Dimas' words startled Alila, making her even more embarrassed.
"Let's not till tonight you can't sleep because you think of me."
"Dim!" Alila warns Dimas not to talk anymore.
"Don't smile in your sleep when you dream of me."
"Dimas!!"
Regardless of Alila's screeches, Dimas remained calm controlling the speed of his car towards Alila's house.
(Your snoring is a very pleasant thing for me, Al.)
A few minutes later they reached Alila's courtyard. Alila immediately opened the car door and shifted her body to get out.
"Thank you, Dim."
Alila said before getting out of the car. He turned his head for a while towards Dimas and gave him a single smile.
"Good rest, Princess of Sleep."
Dimas smiled back at Alila and then passed forward his car.
