Waiting for Love for Me

Waiting for Love for Me
42 SPECIAL GIFTS

Night is morning. Alila wakes up at dawn. He came out of the room and went to the bathroom. He wanted to refresh his body immediately. Last night Dimas forbade her to take a bath because it was late, he didn't want Alila to get sick.

Passing through the kitchen, Alila saw that Dimas' mother was already struggling in the kitchen. Alila turned to the kitchen to greet her future father-in-law.

"Good morning, Auntie."

Mama Dimas looked at her glance and smiled at the whereabouts of his future daughter-in-law.

"Bag, Al. From now on, just call Mom. His father Dimas too, call papa."

Alila held back from hearing Dimas's mother's request. His happiness is soaring.

"Yes, ma-mama.."

"You want to take a shower? Take a shower first, then please wake up Dimas, we will congregate at dawn."

Mama saw the towel and the change of clothes that Alila had brought. Alila nodded her head and turned to walk towards the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later Alila was out of the bathroom. His face looked very fresh with his hair still half wet. She looked towards the empty kitchen as mom returned to the room to wake her husband up.

Alila went into Dimas' room and straightened her hair. She did not dress up at all because it was still very early. After he finished he immediately went out and moved into the Darma room occupied by Dimas.

She saw her lover still sleeping. His position was tilted facing towards Alila who was sitting on the edge of the bed. His hand was still holding his phone. Alila smiled looking at Dimas' face that looked so calm in his sleep, as if dreaming of something beautiful.

(What do you dream about, Dim? About kita?)

He gently touched Dimas' cheek intending to wake him up. But when his hand had touched Dimas' cheek, suddenly the man's voice seemed to be muttering to himself.

"I love you so much, Al.. Don't ever leave me.."

Alila held her chest with one hand, feeling a loud thump in it, accompanied by a subtle vibration that made her breathe quickly.

(I love you too, Dim. I will never leave you.)

"Dim..."

As if hearing the voice of the heavenly angel, Dimas' eyes slowly opened. Her hand reflexively touched Alila's hand that was still stuck to her cheek. When both of his eyes had opened perfectly, his gaze was fixed on the real figure of a beautiful angel before him.

"I..."

"Yes.."

Dimas' hand immediately pulled Alila's hand which was still touching her cheek. She clasped the hand and kissed it, then looked back at Alila still in her unchanging sleeping position.

"Sorry I went straight in here. Mom asked me to wake you up. We've been waiting for mom and dad."

"Mama?" Dimas scrunched his forehead.

"Your mother asked me to call her mother, also papa."

Dimas smiled hearing that. Alila was accepted by her parents. They had asked his future son-in-law to call mom and dad, just like Indira.

"Come, Dim. Quickly prepare. It's not good to let the parents wait for us."

Alila stood up followed by Dimas who immediately grabbed her body from behind to stop his steps.

"Dim..!"

"One minute."

Alila relented. He shut up and let Dimas hold him. Dimas also enjoyed his embrace while inhaling the fragrance of Alila's body and hair that had just taken a shower.

(Now, I'll enjoy this distinctive scent every day, Al.)

The morning mentor said hello. In the kitchen, Alila helps Mama Dimas prepare a simple breakfast, Dimas' favorite chicken porridge.

"After breakfast, mom and dad will go straight to the restaurant, Al. You two just rest. We will all gather and have lunch at the restaurant. Previously, Dimas would take you to Darma's place."

"Yes, Ma."

In this city, Dimas' parents have a typical restaurant business. Initially the business was only a simple stall managed by Mama Dimas, to fill his free time that must accompany papa Dimas on duty here, while Darma and Dimas who have grown up teenagers choose to continue their studies in their hometown.

When breakfast was ready, Papa and Dimas followed to the dinner table. They enjoyed breakfast four.

"Dim, later before going to the restaurant, you take Alila to where Darma used to be."

After breakfast was over, mom and dad went straight to the restaurant, while Alila cleaned the dining table and went to the kitchen to clean the cutlery that had just been used for breakfast.

Dimas returned to the house after delivering his parents to the terrace. He caught up with Alila who was still in the kitchen.

Alila, who was done with her work in the kitchen, walked out of the room. Arriving outside the door, Dimas stood there blocking his steps.

"Dim, I want to get ready first."

"Later on, Al. It's still too early. Indira's cake shop is not open yet. You rest first, just like you said."

Alila nodded slowly and looked for a way to take another step, but her hand was held back by Dimas.

"We'll rest in the living room."

Alila complies and follows Dimas walking towards the living room. Dimas invited Alila to sit on the sofa, next to him.

"Still tired, Al?"

"No, Dim. I should have asked you, is your body still tired?"

"My body was fresher after the morning shower. It'll be fresher if you're with me like this."

Dimas tightened his seat beside Alila. Their bodies are no longer at a distance. They both lay their bodies back, securing their respective positions. Their hands fused together, clasping each other with eyes that clashed so deeply.

"I.."

"Yes?"

"Are you ready if our marriage takes place immediately?"

"You're planning when, Dim?"

"Two months left. I want to marry you right on your birthday, Al. I think it's the best birthday present I can give you."

Alila's tears just poured down her beautiful face, after hearing Dimas's desire that made her deeply moved.

"Dim...., you think about all that..?"

"All this time, I've never given you a birthday present, Al. Every year we celebrate with dinner alone. There's nothing special I gave you. I'm sorry.."

Dimas' hand moved touching Alila's cheeks. He wiped away her lover's tears.

Alila closed her eyes for a moment to sort out her feelings. Then when he opened it again, he looked at Dimas with a twinkle of love that radiated beautifully in both of his eyes.

"That dinner with you was a special gift from you, Dim. But you never realized it."

"Every year, you're also the first person to call me in the middle of the night and say happy birthday to me. You may not even realize it, Dim. But it's the best and most precious birthday gift I've always got from you."

"Dim.., I don't need any more gifts from you. I just need you to always be with me. That's all."

"I'll always be with you, Al. From the past, now and forever."

Dimas pulled Alila's body into his arms. She kissed the top of Alila's head, then went down giving a soft kiss on her lover's forehead. His heart continued to tremble and rustle smoothly.

Alila returned Dimas' embrace with a happy feeling that enveloped her heart. He buried his face on Dimas' chest, the most comfortable place that always kept him calm and peaceful.

"Tell me, Al. Do you want us to get married on your birthday?"

"Yes. I want to, Dim."
