Waiting for Love for Me

Waiting for Love for Me
10 NIGHTS FAREWELL

The day before his departure, Dimas again invites Alila to go with him. They head to a nature restaurant on the riverbank tour surrounded by a flower garden that is blooming and colorful very beautiful.

They chose a place in a lesehan gazebo where one of the sides faced directly with a shallow and very clear stream.

After handing the order notes to the waitress, Dimas and Alila sat next to each other by the river. Both of their feet hung down, into the river and felt the small ripples that kept flowing past their feet. Their hands rested straight on the end of the gazebo on the left and right sides of their bodies.

"Dim, thank you for taking me to this beautiful place."

Alila stared at the expanse of the flower garden across the river.

"You like it, Al?"

"Yes, I like it a lot. This place is so beautiful and quiet. Away from crowds and air pollution."

Alila inhaled the fresh air around her deeply, then exhaled her with a feeling of relief in her chest.

From the side, Dimas did not stop staring at Alila who was staring at the natural beauty around him.

His heart suddenly felt warm, there were fine shakes in it that were increasingly turning into loud thump on his chest.

(For me it's very difficult, Al. When I start to love you and want to be with you always, I have to go and leave you.)

Alila was still unaware of Dimas' attention to her from earlier. He continued to spread his gaze far ahead. He seemed to forget if this was his last day to be with Dimas, because tomorrow morning the man had to leave for Bandung and they would be three months apart.

"Dim, look-lah-.."

When she wanted to show the many butterflies flying in front of her, Alila turned to Dimas and her words were immediately interrupted when she saw the man was looking at her gently.

Alila's heart was beating very fast. Dimas' eyes still continued to stare at him without pause. As if hypnotized, Alila returned the gaze with loving eyes that she could not hide.

The two of them looked at each other at a close enough distance, even the pull and breath of them were heard from each other. As if someone was guiding, Dimas' hand moved slowly grabbing Alila's hand beside him. His fingers looked for a gap between Alila's fingers and began to unify their grasp.

Quiescent. Silent. Silent. They are dissolved in their feelings. Wordless. Without noise. There is only a rhythmic vibration that continues to clink love songs in the hearts of both.

"Excuse me, we're delivering the order.."

The friendly voice of two waitresses brings out the romantic moments of Dimas and Alila.

The two of them immediately shifted and sat in the middle of the gazebo where the dishes were already served on the table.

Although still seeming to be clumsy with each other, Alila preceded taking Dimas' drink and handed it over. Dimas received and drank up to half a glass.

Alila prepared a plate of rice for Dimas before taking it again for herself.

There were some grilled fish menus they ordered. Alila let Dimas pick and take it himself. After that Dimas immediately separated the fish from the thorns and part of his head. He sorted it out and made it into small pieces ready to eat.

As Alila was about to take the fish for herself, Dimas pulled the empty plate that Alila was holding and replaced it with a plate that contained the piece of fish earlier.

"Eat this one, Al. I cleaned the spines. You just enjoy it."

"Thank you, Dim."

Dimas then repeated again for himself, taking some side dishes and immediately enjoying it with Alila.

Seeing the side dish that Dimas had chosen was different from the side dish that was on his plate, Alila took out a mouthful of fish pieces on her plate and extended her hand to Dimas' mouth.

"Try this, it tastes sour sweet, it tastes good."

Dimas opened his mouth and accepted Alila's hand feed.

Wanting to reply, Dimas immediately took a mouthful of the side dish on his plate and directed it towards Alila's mouth.

"You want to try this one, Al?"

Alila smiled and immediately opened her mouth, receiving a bribe from Dimas' hand.

"Nake?"

Alila nodded her head.

Finally the atmosphere melted back. They finished their lunch, enjoyed it with gourmand and cheer.

In the evening at Dimas' house, five friends had gathered together. Sandy comes with Nayla, while Tama comes alone. While Alila came delivered by her sister Alano.

They deliberately gathered because tomorrow morning Dimas will leave for Bandung. Although now can not meet every day like when college used to be, but they always take the time to be together in the moment when there is an important moment from one of them.

"Dim, be good at your training. Don't be enamored with the geulis wench that's there." Candy Sandy.

Dimas only smiled faintly in response.

(Where could I possibly be lured to someone there, while my heart has tied to someone here.)

"Don't cheat, Dim. Poor thing left here, you know.."

Nayla was talking about nothing without realizing that there was a heart that was being touched by her.

Actually what Nayla meant was Dimas' lover because she was also the other one did not know that Dimas had not had a lover for a long time.

Dimas just kept silent and held back a smile at the behavior of Alila who was sitting across the table with him.

Some time the five of them continued to talk and joke, until finally soon Sandy, Nayla and Tama say goodbye home and hug Dimas one by one.

"Al, will I take you home?" Tama offered herself.

"No need, Tam. Thank ye. I'm waiting to be picked up by Alano."

Alila rejected Tama's offer subtly. She asked her sister to come back to Dimas' house.

Tama just smiled and then immediately got into the car, following Sandy and Nayla who had already left Dimas' house.

After Tama passed, Alila sat on the porch of the house. Meanwhile, Dimas entered the house for a while and then came back out with a house key and car key.

He immediately locked the door of his house and approached Alila.

"Come, I'll drive you home."

"I've asked Alano to come get me, Dim."

"I told him I'd take you home, Al."

Dimas walked toward the car parked outside the garage. Alila followed him into the car.

On the way, the two of them were silent. Starting to feel the aura of separation that will soon come time.

"I.."

Dimas stared at Alila at a glance while continuing to drive.

(This is how it feels to leave him whom we love.)

Alila who was summoned just stared at Dimas at a glance and looked back at the streets before him.

(This is how it feels to be parted with someone we care about.)

There was no sound until the car reached Alila's yard. Dimas immediately grabbed Alila's hand before the woman got out of the car.

"Al, I'm sorry.."

"For what?" Alila's voice began to crack.

"I'm sorry I couldn't keep you company and take care of you like always.."

Dimas's voice was heavy. His hand was already clutching Alila's fingers.

Alila leaned back her body. He closed his eyes trying to hold back his tears. Dimas could only look at him from the side while occasionally tightening his grasp.

Shortly after, Alila opened her eyes. He looked towards Dimas and tried to smile. His left hand opened the car door.

Dimas let go of his grasp and let Alila get out of the car and walked away. He immediately followed her to Alila's doorstep.

They stood face to face and united their views.

"Finish your job there well, Dim. I pray for you from here."

"Thank you, Al. Wait for me to come back."

Dimas approached and hugged Alila.

Those who were just going to cuddle at a glance like when the others say goodbye at Dimas' house, finally dissolved in a hilarious-blue feeling.

Alila didn't let go of her embrace. He further tightened the bond between his hands at Dimas' waist. Dimas did the same, tightening his embrace on Alila's body.

After being able to control her feelings, Alila let go of her embrace, as did Dimas.

"Tomorrow morning I'll call you, Al."

"Yes, Dim."

Eventually Dimas actually stepped away from Alila. He immediately got into the car accompanied by the sight of Alila who kept watching him from the end of the terrace.

With a heavy heart Dimas drove his car out of Alila's house. For a moment Alila was still standing glued to look at Dimas' departure, before finally entering the house with a heart that felt empty.
