Give Me Your Hand's
A Letter Submission

Approaching 10:45 Paris time, Kenan invites Ivy to go to the door twenty. Dozens of other passengers who were due to fly to Istanbul also followed suit. An escalator with a flat surface helps them reach the gate in the northern part of the airport.

At a distance of about ten meters, they saw a blue information board hanging above the ceiling. The information board shows the available gate door numbers, ranging from gate twenty to gate twenty-eight.

An airport attendant stands near an electronic machine that forms the boundary between the plane's waiting room and the room outside. When Kenan and Ivy had set foot in front of gate twenty, they immediately gave their passports and flight tickets to the attendants. The uniformed officer asked them Ivy to put his handbag into the detection machine.

“Master, please take off your sunglasses!" pinta the Officer to Kenan, because the officer will match Kenan's face with his passport photo and flight ticket. The man took off his sunglasses.

After the examination was completed, the lovers walked through the translucent glass wall. From where they stood, a large airframe with the inscription Turkish Airlines was waiting for them. Without having to wait for long, they were finally allowed to enter the plane.

Kenan's heart seemed doubtful as he entered the fuselage. The son of Aaron saw Japheth Aksal looking for his seat in the middle row. However, he did not see Hazal with the man.

“What's up? Why did you stop? We haven't found our seats.” Ivy tried to push a little of her lover's body forward, as some of the other passengers in the back were waiting for them.

Kenan immediately put his sunglasses back on and stepped out to look for his seat number. After walking five steps, he saw Japheth Aksal already sitting in his chair. Apparently Hazal's husband doesn't recognize her either. There was no greeting let alone the eye gaze between the two men who had been at odds.

Ivy's lover realized that his seat was right behind Japheth's. He passed by the man who was sitting reading his newspaper. With a slight throw of his face, Kenan chose to sit by the window and allow Ivy to sit by the side of the road. It was behind Japheth's chair.

“It turns out your friend is sitting in front of us,” said Ivy who will touch Japheth's shoulder. He intended to greet the man, but Kenan quickly withdrew his hand. Preventing him from making Japheth Aksal look back.

“Ivy!” kenan growled softly while shaking his head at the woman. As if he wanted to say don't bother him.

“I will tell you after we get home,” whispered Kenan who was greeted with a nod of Ivy's head.

Victor's daughter chose to keep her mouth shut after she saw Kenan's face begin to change, filled with seriousness and anger. Though in his mind raging questions about who the man was and why Kenan avoided him. Silence and waiting for the man's explanation was better than continuing to subdue him with various questions.

During the air travel, Kenan chooses to put on his blindfold and pretend to sleep.

This matter should have been over since a year ago, but did they also consider this matter to be over? My father got his sentence, and I…. I lived in my escape and despair until I finally met Ivy who pulled me out of life without despair.

Three hours and twenty-five minutes was like a twenty-four hour journey for Kenan. Ivy wakes her lover, when a flight attendant gives her two meal boxes for lunch. In a matter of minutes, they immediately devoured a smoked meat dish with BBQ sauce, pasta and vegetable salad until it was left unnoticed.

At about three in the afternoon Istanbul time, the plane they were on landed at Istanbul International Airport. One by one the passengers stood up and took their luggage which they put in the cabin of the plane.

The man named Japheth Aksal stood up and looked back. He saw a dark brown-haired young woman trying to remove her seatbelt and a sleeping man with his blindfold made of black cloth. Then the man walked out of his seat towards the exit of the plane. Unaware of Kenan's presence.

“Kenan,” whispered Ivy who shook his lover's shoulder slightly, after seeing that Japheth had come out. “We're already in Istanbul.”

“I know,” said Kenan who immediately took off his blindfold and stood up, because since he had not fallen asleep. He only closed his eyes after enjoying a lunch that was less than full.

The son of Aaron spread his gaze around the plane, the man he had avoided had no nose. Passenger seats in front and behind are empty without occupants. Near the exit stood two flight attendants and a co-pilot waiting for them.

“Let's get out of here, before the flight attendant scolds us,” invite Ivy who walks ahead of Kenan.

“Good, if he's gone,” muttered Kenan while keeping his sunglasses in his coat pocket. Removing his disguise that he had been doing since. With his stride widened, he caught up with Ivy who had gone down the stairs of the plane.

A collection of clouds in monochrome color welcomed their arrival in Istanbul. The two black-coated bodies set their feet toward a public transport stop.

A yellow taxi took them to an apartment building west of Istanbul. The traffic situation in the city with in Paris is almost not much different. The bottlenecks were everywhere and several moving iron bodies were breaking through each other to reach their destination.

The doorbell of Falea's apartment rang, making Nur stop his activities in the kitchen. He looked at the monitor in the corner of the room to find out who the guests were coming from.

A few days before the two young men went to Paris, Kenan had installed surveillance cameras to keep Nur and Deniz from the arrival of people they did not know, especially Ferit and his men.

“Finally they came,” muttered Nur while smiling in front of a flat screen with its small size. Through the thin screen, he could see the faces of Kenan and Ivy who were already standing in front of the door.

"Deniz, your brother's home!" nur shouted to the boy who was in his room.

Just as the wooden door opened, Deniz ran over and immediately hugged Ivy and Kenan together. Even though his small hand was unable to bring the two adults into his arms. The boy only made himself stick between the bodies of his two brothers.

“This is for you, handsome boy,” said Ivy who gave a shirt that was still wrapped neatly in his plastic bag to Deniz.

“Wow!” Deniz's eye bead was wide when he saw a picture of the Eiffel Tower on the white shirt. He took out an Ivy-given shirt and attached an object made of the cloth to his body. The boy would run into his room.

“Deniz!” prevent Ivy. A pair of legs wrapped in jeans suddenly stopped.

“Don't forget to say thank you to your older brother, because he bought it!” pinta Ivy to her sister.

“But you chose him,” said Kenan with his gaze fixed on Ivy, but his hands ruffled Deniz's brown hair.  The boy seemed timid to thank Kenan.

The woman's eye beads looked teary after receiving the Ivy gift. “You're home safely, it already makes me happy.”

Ivy patted gently on the shoulder of the middle-aged woman standing in front of him.“You deserve it, Nur. You've taken care of us all here.”

“You've eaten? I just made raisin bread and baklava.”

“Baklava?” Ivy's mouth was wide open hearing Turkish food wrapped in thin bread dough that was supplemented with walnuts and doused with honey. He felt his stomach was not too hungry, but imagining his favorite food made his stomach wriggle.

A smile Nur and a nod to the woman's head, made Ivy move both legs as fast as lightning towards the dining table. He washed his hands and sat down on the dining chair while enjoying his piece of baklava.

“Go to the dinner table, before my brother spends your baklava!” yelling Deniz who nudged Kenan's elbow that was as high as his ear.

“What can your sister eat?” asked Kenan with his casual attitude after he replaced his pantofel shoes with house slippers.

“Look at yourself,” replied Deniz with a giggling laugh as he led Kenan's hand to approach the dinner table.

What the boy said was true. Within five minutes, the snack had run out and moved into Ivy's mouth. Kenan was stunned staring at the empty plate that was in front of him.

“Recover, what did I say?” goda Deniz who saw her brother's lover rubbed his stomach.

“My sister is Queen baklava. If he scolds you, you can bribe him with a plate of baklava.”

There was still hope for his stomach, when Kenan saw a piece of sweet snack was perched on the Ivy spoon. With one step the man hugged Ivy's waist and pressed his face against her lover's face. Before Ivy knew it, he immediately devoured the baklava with a single mouthful

“Down..”.

Those green eyeballs glared at him. Before the woman scolded him, Kenan quickly landed his lips on Ivy's cheek.

“Your cheeks taste sweeter than the baklava I ate.”

“You are...,” reply Ivy who pinched her lover's stomach. “Sit here. It's still raisin bread, you can eat it.”

Kenan pulls up the dining chair next to Ivy, while Deniz chooses to sit in front of his two brothers. While enjoying the flour dough wrapped in bread paper, Aaron's son asked about the situation at home as long as he and Ivy left.

“As usual, only my private teacher came here. Mehmet and sister Cansu also came,” replied Deniz.

The boy took out a piece of bread that was in front of him. The cold weather starved him almost every hour, while dinner time was less than a few hours away.

“Today I received a letter from a courier. I put it on your desk.” Nur responded to Kenan's question. He poured Cai (Turkish Tea) into several tulip-shaped glasses.

A frown appears in the middle of both Kenan.” eyebrows The envelope? Who's the sender?”

“Who is it?” Nur pulled out his dining chair and sat on it. He was trying to remember what happened yesterday afternoon. “Pu... pu. But the letter was to Falaea.”

Hearing that there was a letter to Falaea, Kenan and Ivy looked at each other. Both hoped to get some good news after their defeat in Paris.

"Later I'll see it." Kenan said while chewing the bread with raisin stuffing.

After finishing enjoying his sweet bread, Kenan pushed a little of his dining chair and got up to his feet.

“Nur... Deniz..

The two people sitting in front of Ivy immediately looked up at Kenan. They looked at the man's brown lips to wait for his next words.

“I have proposed to Ivy in Paris. We will get married soon,” said Kenan while inviting Ivy to stand up.

Nur immediately closed his mouth that was wide open. His feelings were mixed, between being shocked at the news and being happy. Her foster son eventually finds a man who truly loves her and will take care of her. Her eyes looked teary after she hugged Ivy.

“When is your wedding?” Deniz, who had been sitting and watching the behavior of the three adults, finally opened his voice. For a boy her age, there was or was no marriage, Kenan and Ivy would still stay with her here.

“Do you mind if we get married next week, honey?” ask Kenan to Ivy.

The young lady shook her head and threw her sweet smile. He hugged Kenan. The man also smiled happily and did a tos to Nur and Deniz.
