Give Me Your Hand's
How I Can Fall in Love With You

“Let's take him to the nearest hospital!” the motorboat driver exclaimed to Mehmet and Ivy after they brought Kenan ashore. The three men put Kenan's body in the car. The half-wet body was now on Ivy's lap and grip.

Near midnight they arrived at a nearby hospital. The government-owned hospital is not far from the pier. An old one-story building jutting back. The gurney wheel rolled over the surface of the ceramic floor. Slowly the white curtain closed separating Kenan from the two who were waiting for him outside.

The slender body could only lean against a wall that looked sturdy, while its thin lips were tightly clenched. He hoped that all that was happening right now was just a nightmare that would pass once he woke up.

The green-eyed bead began to blush as it stared at a painting hanging before it.

A seed that is in the ground. The seeds were small, weak and helpless. The sunlight that always shines on it every morning until evening has given the seeds a life. The little seed started to pull out its leaf buds. The bud is now turned into a stem with its flower petals that look beautiful and colorful.

Without feeling the painting was able to entertain Ivy. He tried to tell himself about Kenan.

The man will live, he will be fine because he is a strong man. He'll be able to hold on.

The two people who had been waiting in front of the Emergency Room suddenly raised their faces as the white curtain opened from the inside.

A doctor came out of the room. The white-robed man told them that he had managed to get the water into Kenan's lungs, his condition was now stable, just waiting for his recovery for a few days.

“Lucky you guys quickly find it, if it's too late a little you can lose his life,” he said who then left them.

Three medics moved Kenan to the hospital. The two pairs of legs stepped into the square-shaped room in the middle of the hallway. A ventilator machine stood upright next to Kenan, it displayed numbers and lines that were not understood by them.

Ivy walked closer to the iron bed, he grasped the palms that already felt warm in his grasp. He stared at the thin mustachioed face that had started to get a little colored.

“I believe that you will wake up. I believe that your eyes will be open.”

“You always want to listen to my help request, right? This time I'll say it. Please, open your eyes. Please...”.

“Please give me a chance to tell you that you mean a lot to me. Need you. How can I tell you that I've fallen in love with you. Wake up, Kenan.”

Mehmet, the humorous man began to shed his tears when he heard Ivy's words. He is not a melancholy man, but for tonight.Yes only tonight, he will cry to see the love story of his best friend.

Your life is tragic, buddy. I wouldn't call you on a sled, but you've been thrown off a roller coaster. But tonight, you're really lucky. Even luckier than me, a piece of heart has opened itself to accept your downfall. The fall that was supposed to make your whole world crumble, but that piece of heart is like a jewel that will make your world shine again. Wake up buddy, he's waiting for you….

Ivy wiped her wet face, she caught a glimpse of Mehmet wiping the corner of his eye.

“Mehmet, thank you for your help,” said Ivy who approached the man with the head of the plontos.

“You don't have to thank me. I will do anything for his life, because he deserves all that,” Mehmet replied. At a glance he turned his gaze to look at Kenan's face.

“If you're tired, go home. I'll look after him tonight.” Mehmet smiled after hearing Ivy's words.

By midnight, Mehmet had set his foot on a barrage in the hospital hallway. After arriving at the front yard, he turned his face up to look at the occupants of the night sky. An implied hope from both his black pupils and a voiceless word came out from his brown lips.

Ivy put his head on the bed, once a few hours he opened his eyelids just to

see if the closed eyelids are open or not. A palm touching his shoulder, he opened his eyes to see a nun standing beside him.

“Nona, sleep on the sofa. Here is a blanket for you,” said the nurse.

“What's wrong, Sister. I just want to be near her.”

The sky has changed color. The sheen of yellowish-white light had already scoured into the room space.

Before taking care of his work, Mehmet took the time to look at Kenan's situation. It appeared in the room that a man with his hose was lying weakly on an iron bed, while a woman was laying her head beside the man's arm. Two pairs of eyelids

it was still closed even though the day was light.

Mehmet placed a lunch box and a bottle of drink on the table. He put a piece of paper under the plastic bottle.

This is for you, Ivy. Thank you for taking care of my stubborn friend. I'm going first.

By noon, Ivy had just opened her eyelids. He felt his back and neck begin to ache because for several hours he bent his neck beside Kenan. But the pain was slightly lessened when he saw that thin mustachioed face had started to emit its aura. The brown lips did not look pale anymore.

“I know you must have heard my voice, I believe you must have survived. You'll heal and be healthy again,” whispered Ivy in Kenan's ear.

The wall needle moved non-stop. The originally bright sky had now turned dark.

For Ivy, time seems to be going very slowly. Every hour he saw Kenan who never opened his eyelids. Nearly twenty-four hours, the man did not wake up from his long sleep.

“Mehmet, I will go out for coffee and take Kenan's medicine,” Ivy said as she watched the man enter the room.

The dark-skinned man carried a paper bag and placed it on the table. Ivy smelled the smell of food in the bag.

“Go. I'll take care of him. Oh yeah, I asked for coffee too,” Mehmet replied after he took off his jacket. The thin-lipped woman responded with her smile.

After she finished taking the medicine, Ivy deflected herself to the cafeteria behind the hospital building. Two small paper cups were filled with instant coffee. Ivy again stepped into the hallway containing rooms with standard facilities.

With his elbow he opened the door. Sayup-sayup he heard a groan from inside, like Kenan's voice. His heart wanted to surge in excitement when he heard the man's moans. He immediately stepped inside.

“Hazal..

“I love you..”.

“I love you, Hazal..”.

“Hazal..

But what he heard was far from Ivy's expectations. The green eyes melted back.

The two cups of coffee and the plastic wrapper slipped out of his hand, after he heard Kenan's words. Both hands immediately covered his nose.

“Ivy. He's just delirious,” said Mehmet who tried to explain what happened. He also heard Kenan's words and condemned the man's words.

“Didn't the unconscious man's words be an expression of his heart? The truth is he still loves that woman!” Ivy's voice began to rise.

His face was hot like the tip of his foot that was hit by a splash of hot coffee.

Mehmet only sighed to see Ivy's face and the coffee liquid spilled on the floor. What Ivy said was true, but it was only half of the truth.

“Can you tell me...to me... Who is Hazal The woman's voice began to tremble.

“She was Kenan's ex-wife, but their marriage was no more than an hour. The woman was a prosecutor and the owner of the Puzula company" Mehmet replied.

"Woman... what kind of...he?" Ivy still continued his question even though he knew once he heard Mehmet's answer, his heart would hurt.

Mehmet locked his mouth, he did not want to add to Ivy's grief.

"Tell me! Why... You just shut up?" Ivy stared intently at the round face standing in front of her. Behind the man's body, Kenan was still unconscious from his long sleep.

"She's a beautiful, attractive and intelligent woman. The woman was like a challenge for Kenan to get her heart.”

The Victor princess could only clench both palms and shake her head. He retreated slowly and then turned to flee the room.

What am I compared to that woman who looks perfect in Kenan's eyes.

“Ivy! Wait!” Mehmet tries to prevent Ivy's departure, but he also cannot leave Kenan alone.

The woman continued to run while crying and cursed herself. He rubbed the liquid that soaked his face. The picture hanging on the wall of the hospital seemed to mock and laugh at his stupidity.

How foolish I am to love a man who has given his heart to another woman. I consider myself special in Kenan's heart, it turns out that I am only a person who gets enough compassion, not his love. He still loves his ex-wife. He still loves that woman….

“Down! I love you!” ivy screams as her footsteps step on the edge of the pier, a step ahead of her is the waters of the Bosphorus Strait. He was crying in the open.
