A nurse gave Kenan the results of a medical examination. The man saw Ivy Eleanor's name typed on the envelope cover. He stared at the green bead that looked rounded in the middle.
"Kenan, open it quickly. I want to know the result" Ivy pinta. His voice sounded more excited than before.
Kenan gives the envelope to Ivy, thinking he has no right to open it. The man held up a little Ivy's bed.
Slowly the tongue of the envelope opened. Ivy took a piece of paper from inside that rectangular-shaped cover. His eyes moved reading rows of numbers and columns. Until the green eyeball was fixed on the bottom column that wrote the number forty-five percent.
The white paper slipped out of Ivy's hand, slid down and fell on the floor. Kenan immediately picked it up and read it.
Their match was only forty-five percent.
Kenan folded the paper into four pieces and put it in his pants pocket. He sits himself next to Ivy's hand.
"We are waiting for an explanation from Dr. Husein" said Kenan. Ivy could only cover her face and gently rubbed it. He was not sure of the results of his medical tests.
After Ivy's condition improved, he and Kenan went to see Dr. Husein. The middle-aged doctor read the results of Ivy's examination, then he removed the frame of his reading glasses.
"Ivy" said Doctor Husein with a heavy voice. "The chances of you being a donor are very small, there are some parts of your body that don't fit."
"Doctor mean, a...I can't be a....donor for Deniz?" Ivy's voice was almost gone swallowed by her saliva.
Doctor Husein closed his eyelids and then he exhaled deeply. "Yes, Ivy. You can't donate your spinal cord."
Hearing the middle-aged man's words, Ivy got up from her chair. He shook his head with a glare. " I can't believe it, Doctor!"
"I am his real brother. We're blood, how can my marrow not be a match for Deniz?" yelled Ivy who got up standing up from his chair. He was crying in front of the old doctor.
"There are some cases, siblings cannot donate blood. But there are also outside donors, who have no blood ties." The white mustache was raised upwards as he explained to Ivy and Kenan.
"Do you mean, Deniz's life is in someone else's hands right now?" Ivy asked with a glare. Kenan led him back to his chair.
"We can find other donors, whether people closest to you or people we don't know who want to donate his spinal cord, and...." Doctor Husein stopped his words.
"You're gonna say for sure, and it's gonna cost a lot of money, Ivy. Right, Doctor?" yelled Ivy who immediately left Doctor Husein's room. He really wanted to vent his anger, his disappointment and his current sadness. But to whom? He doesn't know.
Regardless of Doctor Husein's apology, Kenan immediately ran after Ivy. He looked for the woman in every hallway of the hospital and Deniz's room but she wasn't there.
Where the hell's he going?
Kenan goes down some hospital stairs, he keeps walking looking for Ivy. His dark gray eye bead caught the figure of a woman in blue clothes sitting under a tree on the edge of the park.
Aaron's son touched Ivy's shoulder slowly, but the woman remained in her position. Ivy drowned her face on both knees which she bent. A pair of sandals touched the elephant grass neatly arranged.
"I'm going to check on myself" Kenan said after he crouched down in front of Ivy.
The oval-faced woman raised her head, she saw Kenan was already in front of her. "Don't give me hope. I'm the only one whose siblings don't fit."
"Didn't the doctor say, outsiders can be donors, as long as their marrow matches Deniz's," Kenan said as he held Ivy's arms and helped her get up.
"I'm scared, Kenan."
"Everything. I'm afraid your test results don't match either. I'm afraid, I can't afford Deniz's treatment and I'll lose him forever" Ivy sobbed with a red, wet look on his face.
Kenan put his forehead on Ivy's forehead. The two pairs of beads clashed against each other in closeness, as if the wind could not pass through.
"I don't know the outcome either. But if I can't be a donor, I'll find another way to help Deniz. Do you remember when we were in Sultanahmet? We. You and I will fight together for Deniz's recovery."
The green-eyed bead closed his eyes after he heard Kenan's words, the clear liquid was rushing out. Ivy could only silently grin as the man hugged his body tightly.
Kenan..don't make me love you too much with this action of yours. I was afraid that this was just my illusion....
The two of them walked back in the hospital hallway and stopped in front of the door of the laboratory room. Ivy held one of Kenan's arms, as the man was about to go inside.
"Are you sure you're gonna do this?" ask Ivy again. He wouldn't be angry if Kenan changed his mind.
Kenan held Ivy's hand in his arm and said, "I'll do it."
Ivy let go of his handrails and allowed the man to undergo his medical tests.

A reflection of the sunlight hit the outer window of the Kozan company building. In one of the rooms located on the eighth floor, a man was reading his company's financial statements. His hand moved to play the cursor on his laptop screen. The brown-eyed bead did not blink staring at the rising number after number. A faint smile was painted on the corner of his lips.
The man rested his back on the back of his cushioned work chair. He placed his hands behind his head and turned his swivel chair into a circle.
The sound of her phone ringtone made the man stop his activities. He grabbed the thin black object on the table, saw a name he had just known not long ago.
"What's wrong?" asked Ferrite who raised his head up. He began to play back his swivel chair, but this time he just turned it left and right with a short spin.
"Today Ivy didn't go to work." There was a woman's voice from across the street.
"Why didn't he come in? Is he sick?" Ferrite straightened his body on his chair which is dominated by brown and accent on it which is gray. His face began to look serious hearing the voice of the woman inside his cell phone. The conversation stopped.
A smile expanded from the corner of his lips, this time the smile was wider than the first as he saw his sales turnover sharply increase in the past few months.
"Gething!" ferrit shouted from inside his room.
A man wearing a red shirt came into the room. The man with his black hair was standing in front of a rectangular Ferrite worktable with a combination of two colors.
"Yes, sir."
"Find out where Deniz Eleanor is being treated!" command Ferrite. "I'll go to lunch with the leader of Sarte's company."
"Okay, Mr. Ferrite." The man named Hasan immediately came out along with Ferit.
