Ivy and Kenan arrive at Istanbul Hospital when the time has already shown at eight p.m. Feeling anxious, Ivy walked towards the ER room.
"How Deniz is doing" Ivy whispered to Nur as she opened the curtain of the room.
"So the condition got worse. The doctor asked for immediate chemotherapy as soon as possible" Nur said slowly. He still looked at Deniz's sleeping face. "He got up and looked for you."
"You'd better go home. I'll take care of Deniz tonight. You don't worry, I've earned money for Deniz's medical expenses" Ivy said, holding one of Nur's hands. The face of the woman looks tired.
Nur pulls Ivy's hand away from Deniz's bed. "Did you get that money from Ferrite?"
Ivy shook her head and shrugged both of her shoulders. As if to say, the money wasn't from Ferrite.
"I didn't meet him. It's Kenan's help." Ivy set his sights on Kenan. The man smiled after getting a look from Nur's eyes.
Nur's bead eyes that were originally reddened by resisting drowsiness, suddenly became brightly shining.
"You just brought my Ivy home to make me happy, and now you're helping her. Thank you, son." Nur held Kenan's right hand, not knowing how to thank the man.
"It's all for Deniz. That kid reminds me of my childhood. May he recover quickly" Kenan replied.
After Kenan finished taking Nur home, the woman gave the man a plastic bag.
"This is for you and Ivy tonight. That girl hasn't eaten all day, I don't know how to repay your kindness."
"You don't have to thank me, because I'm not an angel. I just want to see them smile" Kenan replied as he received Nur's gift package.
"alright. Good night." Nur went into his house.
"Good night" said Kenan, who walked to his car.
In the dim light of the highway lights, Kenan was thinking about how to return Mehmet's money. While his income as a ship mechanic is also uncertain. But he desperately helps Ivy to finance his sister's treatment.
The faces and smiles of the two brothers overshadowed his thoughts.
Is this really all because of Deniz?
At the hospital, Ivy falls asleep next to Deniz's bed. He was so tired today that the woman did not hear Kenan's footsteps entering the room. Kenan's hands seemed hesitant to get rid of the Ivy hair that covered the woman's face.
Seeing Ivy who had fallen asleep, Kenan did not have the heart to wake him. But the ringing of Kenan's phone tone, made Ivy move her hand and slightly raise her head.
"What's wrong?" asked Kenan who came out of the room while answering his phone.
"There's a ship that needs to be repaired. Can you come here?" there was the sound of the pier chief behind Kenan's phone.
"Tomorrow morning I will go to the dock" replied Kenan who immediately closed his phone. As usual without giving the interlocutor a chance to reply to his words.
When he turned his body to return to Deniz's room, his bead of eyes caught the figure of Ivy already standing in front of the open green curtain. From the outside, Kenan could see Deniz sleeping on his bed.
"You awake?" The look on his face was a little regretful as the sound of his phone woke Ivy up.
"just now. Go back to your house, I hear you have to work tomorrow" Ivy said softly. He tried to stop his sleepiness.
"You're always eavesdropping on other people's conversations. You forgot your promise?" Ivy's eyelids suddenly opened wide after hearing Kenan's question.
The green eyeball turned around, sorting out which promise he had made to the man.
"Didn't you promise, won't you tell me to leave?" Kenan folded his hands in front of his chest. The man only smiled faintly looking at Ivy's wide-open mouth.
Ivy walked over to Kenan. "I don't think every word of mine ever goes into your ear."
Kenan frowned, pointing at his own chest and ears. As if to say am I a slow-thinking man?
Both of Ivy's eyebrows shot up and nodded his head. "Alright, if you don't want to go home. Don't blame me if you can't work tomorrow!"
The woman immediately turned her body, suddenly Ivy's stomach voice was rumbling.
Kenan laughed at the rumbling sound of Ivy's stomach. He swiftly entered Deniz's room and took the parcel he had brought from Nur's house.
"Do you think I'm an idiot? Who doesn't know that you're starving right now" Kenan said, handing Ivy a box of food.
"After I get a job, I'll give you your money back" Ivy said after she finished her meal.
"You better use your money for your living expenses and Deniz. I'm not a loan shark who's going to pay you a debt or Ferit Kozan who's going to ask for a reward for helping you" retorted Kenan who closed his lunchbox.
"Why do you always say that guy's name?" Ivy snorted in annoyance. Kenan always makes his mood change all the time. Sometimes the man made her moved, making her happy but also making her angry in an instant.
"By the way you haven't told me why you ran away on your wedding day?" Kenan moved his chair next to Ivy's.
"So now you want to know me?" Ivy's eyes glowed and her thin lips widened slightly to start her laughter.
Kenan just cleared his throat while leaning his body on the back of the chair. He folded his arms as if he was ready to listen to Ivy's story.
Ivy gulped down her bottle for half a bottle before starting the story.
"It all started two weeks ago, when I just got back from Paris after finishing my studies. The next day, my father took me to Ferrite's office. I didn't know that guy before. Suddenly he and my father decided on my wedding date with her."
"I don't know why you forced me to marry Ferit. I thought this was just a matter of ordinary matchmaking. I tried to refuse my father's request, because I wanted to determine my own future and I didn't love Ferit. Until I finally had the courage to leave her at the wedding altar."
Ivy looked at Kenan's face that seemed interested in hearing his words.
I thought he was going to sleep, after hearing my fairy tale.
"Then?" Kenan straightened his backrest and showed his enthusiastic face waiting for Ivy's next story.
"After my father died, my stepmother blamed me for the fact that behind my match, there was an agreement between my father and Ferit. The man will help father's company finances, as long as he and I get married. But since the marriage didn't happen, Ferrite canceled his agreement which left the father's company bankrupt and our house confiscated."
Kenan looked at the round table in front of him, perhaps fate had brought him to meet a girl who had almost the same fate as him. Will fate make them fools?

The next day Dr. Husein prepared a room for Deniz's chemotherapy treatment. The boy looked anxiously at the face of Ivy who was clasping her hands.
"This is not the first time. You must be strong, Deniz." Her sister gave her spirit.
"Are you going with me?" ask Deniz lirih. This time he was afraid to catch up with his father and mother.
"I'll be waiting for you outside. When you open your eyes, you'll see me again" Ivy said, kissing the back of the little hand.
The white door closed after Ivy and Nur came out. The two women waited with mixed feelings.
"You sit down, Deniz is not a weak child. The child will definitely be able to survive," comforted Nur who patted the seat beside him.
The long needle on the clock keeps turning to the right. Minutes by minutes have just passed. The white door finally opened. Doctor Husein showed me the trunk of his nose.
"The chemotherapy has succeeded. Hopefully this time the cancer cells don't get any more spread." The doctor's words slightly made Ivy breathe a sigh of relief, although he knew that Deniz's cancer had not been cured one hundred percent. The fear that his sister was leaving still haunts him.
Ivy immediately went inside to see Deniz's condition. The boy opened his eyelids slowly and smiled at Ivy.
"You kept your promise."
"Of course, I won't leave you" Ivy said, wiping her sister's forehead.
After finishing his job at the dock, Kenan immediately headed to the hospital. He wanted to see Deniz's condition. He hasn't heard from Ivy.
It was already noon, when Aaron's son entered the hospital. His footsteps stopped when he saw Ivy standing in the middle of the hallway of the ER room.
The two men both walked closer to each other. Ivy's eyes looked teary as soon as he saw Kenan had come. Without saying a word, Ivy gave a warm hug to Kenan.
"Thank you, Kenan," sobs Ivy on Kenan's shoulder. "Thank you for helping Deniz."
With hesitation Kenan draped both of his hands on Ivy's waist. He hugged Ivy tightly. He doesn't know what to say. The man just held Ivy's body into his arms.
