A taxi stopped at a small house far from the city center. Two adults and one child were removed from the vehicle. The two Eleanor sisters looked at the house with white and brown paint. Although small, but slightly maintained compared to the surrounding house.
"Come in" Nur asked two of his guests who were still standing on the side of the road. The highway is one way only one vehicle can pass.
Nur opened the wooden door whose leather edge was filled with scratches. Ivy clasped Deniz's shoulders, but the boy still remained upright standing in his original place.
"Deniz, let's go in. This is Nur's house" Ivy explained slowly. Ivy knew Deniz might be disappointed, because he didn't go home by himself.
Deniz did not answer Ivy's words. He was still staring at the building.
"Deniz, don't you want to stay with me? Now I live here. Come on in" said Ivy, holding his sister's arms.
"Why don't we stay home? I want to go home" Deniz said, staring expectantly.
"At home there is no one. Dad went out of the country. Sophia's mother goes with her friend, while Cansu is at work, "the returning Ivy lies to Deniz.
After hearing the explanation from her brother, Deniz stepped foot to enter Nur's house.
"Sister will tell me later that you're out of the hospital" Ivy said, wiping Deniz's head. The boy smiled again.
Inside the house, Nur lives alone. He bought the house after working at the Eleanor family home for years. The building consists of one floor, filled with two rooms, one bathroom, kitchen and living room.
"I hope you guys stay here. Not as big as Eleanor's house" Nur said after she stuffed Ivy's suitcase and Deniz's suitcase in the front room.
"This is enough for us, Nur. Thanks." Ivy held both of Nur's hands. "If only we hadn't met, either Deniz and I would have lived somewhere."
"Ivy, is it harmless to get Deniz out of the hospital?" Nur took two glasses of water and gave it to them.
Ivy pulled Nur's hand slightly away from Deniz. Victor's daughter recounted what happened after Sophia kicked herself out of the house.
"I had no other choice, Nur. I hope that after he gets out, his health will improve." Hearing Ivy's story, Nur's countenance became furious.
"Can I ask for your help again, Nur? I'm sorry I always bother you."
"What are you saying, son. I think of you both as my children. Tell me what's up?" nur asked while fixing her hair ties.
"I'll find a job, can you take care of Deniz?" Ivy stared expectantly at the face of the servant as well as his nanny. "I don't want to ride in your house for free. I'll pay the rent."
Nur hits Ivy's arm slowly. "What did you say? Of course you can stay at my house. I'll take care of Deniz."
"No, Nur. Let me help you too." Ivy is a little pushy.
"As far as you go, pretty girl." Nur chuckled and hugged his little miss who was already a young woman.
"Thank you, Nur." Ivy rubbed the woman's back.
Until the night, Ivy had just returned to Nur's house with a tangled look on her face. He saw Deniz still struggling with his paper. Ivy approached her and saw her sister drawing an anime.
"Well, your picture is getting better" praised Ivy who was standing behind Deniz's chair. His pencil strokes were full of firmness. The last time Ivy saw his sister was drawing was about four or five years ago.
"I want to go to school in Paris like you do" Deniz told his brother. The boy showed his brother a sketchbook. Ivy immediately understood Deniz's intentions.
"Not to Paris. If you like anime pictures, you can go to Japan" said Ivy, who was greeted with a glowing Deniz bead. Ivy returned the moss green eyes' gaze.
Did I give him a wish that I could not make?
"It's night. Sleep, Deniz." Ivy immediately led her sister to climb a single-size bed.
"Why are you looking for a job? Why doesn't he work for Dad's company?" deniz asked as Ivy laid her head on the pillow.
Ivy did not immediately give an answer to Deniz. The young lady stared at the plain ceiling of the room. "I want to try working outside first."
After hearing her brother's words, Deniz did not continue his question anymore. He pulls out his blanket and falls asleep next to Ivy.
In the morning, Deniz sees Ivy still sleeping soundly. He got up from his bed and walked out to the kitchen to get some drinking water. He did not see Nur in the house.
I want to go home.... Why didn't we wait at home? And why doesn't Nur work at home?
A few questions crossed Deniz's mind. He went into his room and saw Ivy's bag. His hand picked up Ivy's wallet and took some of the money she had saved.
I don't want to steal, brother. I just want to go home. Ii'm sorry.
Deniz put up his shoes and walked out. He looked back occasionally, making sure that Nur and his brother did not follow him. After walking a few meters, he finally found a taxi passing in front of him.
The green bead of eyes began to open slowly, when the sunlight had already shone brightly into his room. His right hand was looking for someone beside him. He woke up immediately with a feeling of surprise.
"Denizz!" Ivy flicked her blanket when she did not see her sister beside her. The young woman immediately got out of her bed, and searched the entire house. But he did not find the boy.
"Denizz!" Ivy shouted as she was in front of the house. He asked his neighbors but no one saw Deniz. Ivy's heart seemed to break once her sister wasn't with her.
Ivy, who saw Nur with her vegetable basket, immediately ran over to the woman. "Nur, have you seen Deniz?"
"Isn't the child asleep?" Nur seemed excited to hear Ivy's question. Before going to the market, he still sees Deniz sleeping in the room.
"He doesn't exist, Nur! When I woke up, Deniz was no longer home!" Ivy exclaimed with tears in her eyes. Nur's face immediately looked deathly pale as soon as he heard Ivy's words.
