The twilight had passed when Kenan and Ivy left Kozan's company. The searchlight of the SUV car was shining brightly splitting the darkness of the night, the line of cars trying to overtake to find a gap in order to get to the destination. In the car, Ivy noticed the owner of a firm face stroke sitting next to him. From the corner of his eyes, Kenan could see the gaze of Ivy who had been watching him since.
"Where are we actually going?" Ivy averted his eyes, now he saw the state of the highway in front of him.
"Later you will know" replied Kenan who was watching his rearview mirror, no other vehicle was behind him. Soon he turned the wheel and turned the car to the right.
In the light of the streetlight, Ivy noticed a smile knotted from the man's face.
What exactly is he going to do?
Ivy supported her forehead with her hand which she placed on the window door. The green-eyed bead was enjoying the trees lined up neatly along the way with its decorative lights dangling down.
Kenan lowers the speed of his vehicle, and pulls out his car in front of Mehmet's cafe, Istanbul Cafe.
"You wait here!" exclaims Kenan who immediately got out of the car and went inside.
His shoe-base crept over the textured wood floor. A long brown table became Kenan's destination, he read a sign that read KASIYER. (Indonesian CASHIER)
From inside the car, Ivy notices what Kenan is doing at the cafe.
"Is Mehmet inside?" kenan asked a young girl in charge of guarding the pay table.
"Mr Mehmet didn't come tonight" replied the girl with a thick pulse of her make-up.
Kenan pulled one of the empty seats near the cashier. He contacted his best friend who was always reliable at all times.
"Where are you?" ask Kenan after the phone call is connected.
"I'm in the apartment, what's wrong? From your tone it looks like something has happened." Mehmet was in the kitchen making pasta.
Kenan mentioned some money to Mehmet.
"What's that money for?" This time it was Mehmet's voice that sounded worried.
"Say, is there or isn't? I'll tell you later if we meet." Kenan tapped his fingers on the table.
"alright. I'll send the money to your account." Mehmet prepared to take out a pen and small paper to write Kenan's bank account number.
"Give me the cash tonight. We'll meet at Sultanahmet Square." Kenan immediately hung up his phone and walked to his car.
The man still looked at Ivy who was sitting beside him. Without explaining anything, Kenan drove his car to the park located between the Blue Mosque (Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sophia (Historical museum in Istanbul, Turkey)
Fifteen minutes later, the SUV stopped at a parking lot in Istanbul. Ivy got out of the car, saw a lot of seats lined up neatly around Sultanahmet Square. He chose to sit in front of the colorful fountain, but his heart did not currently want to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
"Wait here!" Once again Kenan told Ivy to wait. While the man walked slightly away from Ivy, about two long chairs were a distance away.
"Didn't he know that I don't have much time to relax right now?" Ivy muttered with her annoyed face.
The woman looked at her watch which had already shown almost seven o'clock in the evening. He sat down while folding both his hands and putting them into the folds of the elbows.
Second by second it seemed to be going very slowly. Ivy repeatedly turned to where Kenan was. But the man just stood still by sticking his head out as if he was waiting for someone.
"I shouldn't believe what he said!" Ivy snorted in annoyance. He held one leg to the other.
At the same time, Mehmet came to Kenan. After Kenan hung up his cell phone, the dark-skinned man went out of the house to withdraw his savings and met his best friend. He forgot to change his shorts.
"You brought the money?" ask Kenan. He held back his laughter when he saw Mehmet's appearance.
Mehmet gave her a brown envelope containing hundreds of Lira notes. "What is this money for him?" Mehmet set his sights on Ivy's place.
Ivy, who saw Kenan and Mehmet meeting, seemed increasingly upset, "I can go with him, and now he's joking with his friend!"
"His sister is in need of chemotherapy" replied Kenan who saw Ivy get up and talk to someone on his phone.
"His sister or her brother?" goda Mehmet with his distinctive smile. The white-toothed man blinked one of his eyes.
Kenan was about to answer Mehmet's question, but he saw Ivy walking away from him towards the exit.
"Oh shit!" as Kenan watches Ivy move further away from him.
"Take this as a loan, I'll give it back!" yelled Kenan while patting Mehmet's arm. He immediately ran after Ivy who had disappeared behind a tree.
"Take that dowry for him!" yelled Mehmet while shaking his head and laughing at Kenan's behavior.
Amidst the lights lined up neatly along the garden, Kenan ran after Ivy. Sayup-sayup heard the sound of people who were taking pictures in front of the Hagia Sophia Museum.
Kenan's shout made Victor's daughter stop her steps and turn her body around. Kenan immediately approached him.
"I told you to wait for me! Where are you going?" Kenan hid Mehmet's envelope on the back of his shirt. He walked up to Ivy, but the woman regressed her steps.
"Why should I wait for you? I have to go now! Deniz's condition is deteriorating and I don't have much time to watch you joking with your friend!" Ivy exclaimed by raising the intonation of his voice.
"I shouldn't have come with you, I should have asked Ferit for help, and I should have been in the hospital to accompany Deniz!" exclaiming Ivy who continued to rewind his steps, as Kenan continued to walk closer towards him.
"Oh... So you think only Ferit Kozan can help you right now?" Kenan stared intently at Ivy's bead eyes. His steps continue to intimidate Ivy into retreating.
"Of course!" Ivy returned Kenan's eyes and answered him with confidence.
"Oh. I know now." Kenan rubbed his hair and turned his face the other way.
"You don't think I can help you, because I'm just a mechanic!"
Ivy clenched her palms tightly hearing the man's words.
"You're sorry for leaving your gold mine! Once you know, that he's a rich businessman and you want to beg him to come back! That's your mind!" yup, Kenan accused Ivy for no reason. He is indeed a man who likes to talk without caring about the feelings of others.
Kenan's accusation made Ivy furious, he held his hand against slapping the man's face.
"Shut your mouth, Kenan! You don't know me yet! I am not a materialistic woman! I'm just a woman who thinks realistically!"
The green-eyed bead seemed to be flushed red from restraining his anger, "I didn't ask for your help, because you also have your own difficulties!"
"What if I can help you right now?" ask Kenan who is getting closer to Ivy, making the distance between them shorter.
What does this man mean? Did he want to say that he was the son of the Sultan who disguised himself as a poor man?
Ivy further back his steps until accidentally his foot stepped on the side of the road.
"Nlwww...!" Ivy exclaimed in surprise as the paving blocks behind him were lower.
A pair of burly hands nimbly caught Ivy's body before the woman kissed the cobbled street. The gaze of the two pairs of eyes stopped at the same line with a very close distance. Making Ivy could feel Kenan's breath caressing her face. Kenan's heart skipped a beat as Ivy's thin lips almost stuck to his.
Ivy immediately straightened her body and tried to catch her breath going up and down.
"You all right?" asked Kenan who looked at Ivy's face gently.
This look in the eyes made Ivy confused. For a moment the man's bead of eyes flashed sharply, and a few seconds later the gaze of those eyes turned soft.
"Yes. I'm doing fine. I'm going to the hospital now!" Ivy turned her body and stepped down. He had already lost a lot of time when arguing with Kenan.
"Wait!" Kenan tries to hold back Ivy's departure. "I have something for Deniz!"
Ivy immediately turned her body towards Kenan, she saw a brown envelope in the man's hand.
"What's that?" ask Ivy. The bead of his eyes looked at Kenan's face and the envelope the man was holding alternately.
"This is for the cost of Deniz's chemotherapy." Kenan lifted the envelope in front of Ivy's face. "I can help you too!"
"Why are you helping me? You have no burden or reason to help me?" Ivy shrugged both of his shoulders.
"It's all for Deniz!" yelled Kenan while giving the envelope to Ivy.
The woman seemed hesitant to accept Kenan's gift. Ivy still hid her hands behind her body.
You really are a stubborn woman, Ivy!
"Give me your hand!" exclaimed Kenan who asked Ivy to extend her hand.
Ivy remembered Deniz's words the other day, with the same words her sister also asked for it. Slowly the Deniz elder immediately extended his open hand.
"We will fight together for Deniz's recovery" Kenan said, putting his hand on Ivy's. The two hands hugged each other. The green-eyed bead glazed over after hearing Kenan's words.
Kenan gives the envelope to Ivy, causing the woman to release her hand from Kenan's arms.
"Didn't you want to go to the hospital?" asked Kenan who extended his hand back towards Ivy. In her cries, the woman smiled and chuckled. Either Ivy has to say what to the guy.
Victor's daughter returned Kenan's hand. Their fingers intertwined until they got into the car.
