Give Me Your Hand's
Hard-headed Woman

Kenan was surprised to see the two Eleanor sisters at the cemetery in the condition of Deniz unconscious. The two human children looked at each other with that unintentional encounter.

"Ken...."

Before Ivy continued his words, Kenan immediately lifted Deniz's body from Ivy's arms and carried him into the car.

"Come inside! You're not a security guard!" exclaims Kenan after he put Deniz's body in the back seat. He circled his SUV and opened his steering chair without looking at Ivy.

Ivy hesitantly sat herself in the back seat and propped her sister's head up on her lap. The car drove quickly to the hospital.

The trip is very quiet compared to the atmosphere outside, on the highway filled with vehicles that honk each other just to get to the road.

The red traffic light was always an opportunity for Kenan to notice what Ivy was doing.

He became quiet, not as usual. This time his mouth did not chirp like a bird.

The man looked at Ivy who lowered his head while cleaning the blood flowing from Deniz's nose. Occasionally the woman rubbed her eyelids without letting out a sobbing sound. From the corner of his eye, he saw Ivy clasping Deniz's hand.

The sound of the horn from the rear car shocked Kenan. He immediately put the gears of his car in and resumed his journey.

The sirens of ambulances and nurses greeted them at Istanbul Hospital. Kenan immediately moved the small body and placed it on top of the gurney. Medics immediately took Deniz into the Emergency Unit room.

"You wait outside! We will take care of the patient" said one of the nurses who looked older than her two friends. The green-coloured mosquito net separates Ivy and Deniz.

With shaky footsteps, Ivy landed her body on a long chair in the waiting room. The bloodstains still fell on his hands, but he did not care. He tried to drown his face in his palm.

The sound of television broke the silence between two human children who did not know what to say. Kenan, who had rested himself on the wall, now turned to Ivy's chair.

"What happened to Deniz? Why are you at the funeral?" ask Kenan suddenly. He was curious about the two brothers. But his ego seemed to mask his sense of caring.

Ivy opened both of her palms that had since covered her face. The green-eyed bead stared at the ceiling filled with various colorful brochures hung with a string.

"He had leukemia cancer. I took him out of the hospital, because I can't pay bail for Deniz's next treatment." Ivy stopped her voice and pulled her gaze towards the front.

"Today he asked me to take him to the grave of our parents. After I told him about my father's death, he suddenly fainted." Ivy sighed deeply then turned her face towards Kenan.

"Wait on! How do you know my sister's name is Deniz?" Ivy's facial expression suddenly changed to full of questioning.

The dark gray eye bead was rounded looking at Ivy's facial expression.

"We've met."

"Where?" urged Ivy who furrowed his brows. She had never heard Deniz tell her about this man.

"Where else, if not in the hospital." Kenan slightly raised the intonation of his voice and tilted his head.

Before Ivy resumed his words, Doctor Husein walked up to them.

"Ivy, can we talk in my room? It's about Deniz" Dr. Husein said after he was in front of Ivy.

Thousands of questions flashed through Ivy's mind. He dismissed all the bad thoughts that were haunting him at this moment.

They arrived in front of the workspace of the blood cancer specialist. The doctor invited them both to come in and sit down.

"Ivy, Deniz had never experienced anything like this before. Is there something that's causing her to shake?" Doctor Husein hooked his fingers on the table.

A large hammer seemed to hit Ivy's head when the doctor asked the thing that made Deniz's condition decrease. He just nodded his head slowly.

"She just found out that dad's dead." There was regret on the woman's face.

"Now the cancer cells are back to work faster."

"What's? That fast?" The clear liquid finally spilled out soaking Ivy's face, after she tried to hold it in.

"Say doctor, what should I do? How can Deniz be cured?" Ivy supported her forehead with her hands and wiped her tears.

"Deniz had to undergo further chemotherapy. Faster than his schedule." Doctor Husein's words were like a sharp dagger piercing Ivy's heart.

"How much does it cost, Doc?" Ivy knows Deniz's medical expenses aren't cheap. He immediately closed his eyes tightly, making his tears flow profusely soaked his cheeks.

Dr. Husein mentions some nominal numbers that make both eyes Ivy wide.

"When is the payment limit?" Kenan who had only noticed the two-way conversation suddenly entered.

"Faster is better" said Doctor Husein, staring at Kenan. The dark gray eye bead instead sharply returned the middle-aged doctor's gaze.

"Alright, doc. I'll work on it." Ivy and Kenan immediately walked out of the doctor's room.

Victor's daughter walked away, and leaned against the wall next to the doctor's room door. He looked at Kenan standing in front of him.

"Thank you, 'cause you took Deniz to the hospital. Go," said Ivy quietly.

"What about Deniz's medical expenses?" asked Kenan while frowning his forehead. He wanted to try to help, but Ivy seemed to be trying to keep his distance.

"That's not your problem. Didn't you ever say you wouldn't interfere with my problems? Go!" Ivy's words were able to knock out Kenan's ears. Makes the man smile a little considering the events of that time.

"Alright, if that's what you want." Kenan sighed while looking at the green-eyed bead deeply. "I don't like to interfere with other people's problems!"

Aaron's son immediately turned his body away from Ivy. Walk down the hallway and the hospital floor.

That woman is so stubborn! He could immediately say, Kenan please help me. At least it's better, than to kick me out!

Ivy, who thinks Kenan is gone, calls Nur and tells Deniz that he is in the hospital. After the short message was sent, Ivy immediately went out onto the highway.

Maybe this is the only way to pay for Deniz's treatment.

Ivy called a taxi that passed in front of him. He said an address to the taxi driver.
