CHAPTER 7

At night Jessica's condition gradually improved, and she was ready to face Daniel. Jessica knew Daniel was upset and hurt about the incident this afternoon but she was sure Daniel would not harm her.

After eating and taking medicine, Jessica sat looking at Daniel who was also looking at her. Jessica had wanted to start a conversation but Daniel shook his head, he still did not want to hear Jessica's explanation.

Thirty minutes later, Jessica finally ventured to start her conversation. "It's not what you think, Daniel." he saw there was a lot of sadness in Daniel's eyes.

"This marriage really makes me sters, Jess. You really played with my jealousy" Daniel said

Daniel's words offended Jessica. "Well, then let's split up!" Jessica pulled the blanket and was ready to rest, she felt that there was no point in talking to Daniel, although it was hard she would accept if Daniel wanted to part with her.

"Started?" ask her while holding Jessica back to sit back and look at her.

"I don't want to be your burden, Daniel! I'm sorry if my presence in your life turns out to be so troublesome for you, and this marriage doesn't live up to your expectations!"

Daniel was still holding Jessica's arm. "That's not what I mean, Jess," she said. "Honesty and openness, that's all I want now from you."

Jessica nodded.

"Why is he suddenly here?"

Jessica clenched her lips and folded her hands on her chest. "Yes, I don't know myself, Daniel. Why is he suddenly here? You just changed my phone and phone number, my hand is still on the drip here. Why can you ask me that? What do you think I called her and asked her to come here?"

Daniel rubbed his face violently, what his wife said made sense. "Then did you tell him about yesterday? Did you tell him about our fight?"

Jessica shakes. "No. He only guessed because he saw the wound in my eyes, then he concluded himself."

Daniel breathed heavily and leaned back in his seat. "Then what about Jesie?"

"That's the nickname he used to give us when we were in contact, I don't want you to call me that because I don't want any part of my past to be among us. Trust me Daniel, I have absolutely nothing to do with Rey. Since breaking up five years ago, I only met her yesterday at the boutique when she wanted to make a wedding dress for her sister, and now the dress has been handled by Claire and my assistant, she said, I don't want to know about that dress. I chose to handle the dress of the Riau district official's son who the other two would marry. "

Daniel digested every word that Jessica said. "Okay, it's my turn." He cupped Jessica's face and looked at her deeply. "If you don't want to continue this marriage... Please tell me now. Because when you see you with him, it hurts a lot. I don't want to feel that anymore, Jessica."

"Daniel, I never thought of parting from you." Jessica's tears slowly trickled down her face, she put her hands on Daniel's, then she shook her head. "I don't want anyone else, Daniel. I just want you."

Daniel tried to smile even though his heart still felt sore, he pulled Jessica's body and clenched her tightly. "I love you, Jessica. I really love you."

Jessica returned Daniel's embrace while kissing his shoulder. "I love you too."

"How is your condition now? What's better?" daniel asked, the relief of being able to resolve her problem with Jessica was clearly on her face.

Daniel got into bed and slept next to Jessica. Jessica leaned her head on Daniel's shoulder, enthusiastically telling him about the dress that was ordered by the son of Riau regional officials. Daniel listened carefully, and gave all his attention to Jessica until finally Jessica stopped telling stories and slept in her arms.

Meanwhile, in Jenny's hospital room, there appears to be a commotion between Rey and her future sister-in-law. Rey asks Marco to go undercover as a nurse and enter Jessica's hospital room.

"You're crazy, Rey. I'm an engineer, how can I check on a patient?" Marco refused Rey's request.

"This time, Marco. I have to make sure if Jessica's okay, I can't ask the nurses because they look cynical to me because it happened this afternoon."

"Because we made a scene in the hospital, the hospital just didn't kick you out" Jenny said.

"But I managed to get the nurse's uniform down" Rey threw the uniform at Marco for Marco to put on.

"You stole it," Marco only looked at him for a moment.

"No, I just borrowed it."

"No permission means stealing!" Marco hesitates to wear it, but Rey continues to force and push him out of Jenny's inpatient room.

"For God's sake, I won't help you two, if you get caught by the security guard." Jenny looks dizzy looking at the behavior of both of them, especially her brother who is like a crazy person.

The debate continued as the two of them began to approach Jessica's inpatient room. "I'll wait here to be on guard" Rey said as she looked to her right and left.

"Marco turned to the right and left, he did not want anyone to know if he was a self-styled nurse. "That's not the case, but what am I supposed to do inside?"

"Whatever, the important thing is that you see Jessica is fine. It's in there!" Rey opens the door and pushes Marco in.

Marco was confused and nervous to face Daniel, and cold sweat began to wash over him. "What's wrong?" ask Daniel.

"I-I," Marco fingered the nurse's pocket, lucky he found the thermometer. "I just wanted to measure her temperature" she tried to hold her hand so she didn't look shaky as she scratched Jessica's forehead.

"Normal" he told Daniel, who had been watching him. "I'll excuse you, good night." Marco rushed out of Jessica's in-house. As soon as she returned to Jenny's room she flung the nurse's uniform over to Rey. "I should have chosen to bring your sister elopement instead of pretending to be a nurse" she grumbled.

"But how about Jessica, is she okay?"

Marco looked at Rey with a sharp look. "Everybody knows who Jesicca is. He is a famous designer and talented graduate abroad, he is not a random person or a fool. If she was wondering, she would definitely cut down on her husband. So you better move on and not interfere in your ex's domestic affairs!!"
