CHAPTER 27

In order to make Jessica happy, Claire and Harry make a very lively baby shower party at a five-star hotel. Unfortunately the event was not attended by Alice, the mother of Jessica because she was still in Bali with friends of the community who care about Indonesian children's cancer.

Jessica forbid Claire to say this event is a baby shower because her mother will go home immediately if she finds out Jessica is pregnant. Jessica did not want to interfere with her mother's social events and she also wanted to tell about her pregnancy directly.

For about six months now, Alice has been in the social community. Traveling around the area and helping many children get cancer, makes them happier and healthier. The only princess of the wayangnya already mature and happy with her own life, that's a strong reason Alice chose to join the community.

The baby shower event was very lively even though it was only attended by Jessica's closest friends. The theme that Claire chose jungle, a fairly neutral theme because Jessica is still reluctant to know the gender of the baby in her birth.

Finishing the event when her friends one by one had left the venue, Jessica was surprised by the arrival of people she did not expect. Daniel will be home in two weeks, and before Daniel returns Jessica intends to fly to Bali to see her mother. He wanted to prepare his heart to meet Daniel.

But now Daniel is here, with his gaze fixed on Jessica's stomach. Jangung Jessica pounded heavily against her body. He felt an itch on his chest, so he raised his hand and placed it there, feeling the thump of his heart in his palm.

Jessica's heart was pounding for fear of Daniel.

Jessica was fixated as Daniel slowly approached towards her. One of Jessica's other hands he put on the stomach as if protecting the womb and the other hand is still attached to the chest. He was too afraid to move and say something when Daniel was really in front of him.

Daniel raised his hand to lift it. "I'm not gonna hurt you, Jess. I just want to talk to you, let's go home!" take her, then Daniel steps to the side and Jessica's eyes are pounded on Harry who is behind her.

'Oh so he's the one who told me about this event, ' Jessica's inner self who had been wondering why Daniel could be here, even if Daniel did hasten his return he would have waited in the apartment.

"Harry?"

Harry raised both of his hands in self-defense. "Every day Daniel terrorizes me to know your condition, so I have him come to see you in person" Harry's gaze turned to his wife who was right next to Jessica. "Claire dear, please don't divorce me for this" he asked.

Jessica held Claire's arm while shaking her head, it was enough to make Claire not scold her and Harry breathed a sigh of relief.

"Be home Jess" repeated Daniel.

"We're going to come along, to make sure you're okay" Claire said, she really doesn't want her brother to hurt Jessica anymore.

Jessica is still very afraid of Daniel, but with her belly distended and she knows that she is pregnant with her child Daniel would not dare to hurt her. "Thank you, Claire. But we need privacy to talk."

Jessicaa grabbed Claire's hand and grabbed it. "I'll be fine. Believe it!!"

Claire releases Jessica's hand. "Let me know if there's anything, I'll be right to your apartment as soon as you call me."

Jessica smiled wryly then nodded, she walked ahead of Daniel. Arriving at the hotel lobby Jessica asked Daniel to book a taxi because she did not want a car with her husband. "I want to drive myself" he said before getting into the car, he drove to his apartment without waiting for Daniel to get a taxi.

Daniel arrives fifteen minutes after Jessica arrives, he closes the apartment door. Jessica noticed Daniel who looked older than she had seen before, her eye bags were dark in color, her forehead wrinkled and her posture looked withered.

Her eyes fell on Jessica's stomach, and she slowly approached Jessica who was sitting on the living room couch. Daniel reached out one hand hesitantly, asking permission to touch his wife's stomach.

Jessica nodded small. Daniel leaned over and placed his hand on Jessica's stomach. Jessica felt the warmth of Daniel's hand through the dress he was wearing. Jessica closed her eyes, even though hatred was mounting in her heart, it did not mean that her love for Daniel was completely gone.

Slowly Danie let go of her hand and Jessica opened her eyes. Daniel fell to his knees before Jessica, his two arms around Jessica's waist, then stuck his lips on Jessica's stomach. "This is our baby, which we are waiting for his presence." he said softly.

It's hard to describe what Jessica is feeling right now, as any mother would want for her child, especially when she's trying so hard to get a child. It is wonderful to see the love Daniel has given to the fruit of their love. No matter how much hatred she harbored for Daniel, Jessica held out her hand to Daniel's hair, while Daniel continued to embrace her.

Part of Jessica wanted to scream at Daniel and called the police to report the incident some time ago, but some of her pity. Half of Jessica hoped that she would never see Daniel again, but the other half wished that she could forgive her husband.

Daniel took his hands off Jessica's waist, he grabbed the edge of the sofa and sat down at his wife's smping. His two elbows rested on his thighs, and his two hands smothered his mouth. "You want to talk about it?"

Daniel nodded. "But I don't know where to start, Jess." he rubbed the crater with both hands.

"How about you start with 'I'm sorry for attacking and impaling you.'"

Instantly Daniel turned his head towards Jessica, his furniture eyes were staring at Jessica sharply. "Jessica you don't know what I've been feeling all this time, I'm really tormented every time I remember what I did to you."

Jessica gritted her teeth, she squeezed the edge of the sofa tightly. I can't imagine what Daniel's been feeling all along after that.

Jessica nodded slowly. "You can't imagine how I felt after that night, Daniel!!" anger and hatred were overflowing within him.
