They made it to the hospital, when Jessica's contraction distance was only one minute. After the doctor examined her, it turned out that Jessica was already opening nine, and was ready to give birth.
Five minutes later the doctor told Jessica to push, Jessica squeezed her mother's hand every time she pushed. At once he thought that the hand that he should be squeezing right now was Daniel's hand not his mother's.
"His head was almost out" said the doctor. "Just need to push a few more times."
Jessica couldn't describe what happened the next few minutes. Everything is blurry and the chalk is stirring, between pain, severed breath, anxiety, happiness, and pressure. A tremendous pressure as if he was about to explode, then. "Women!" exclaim Alice. "Darling, your baby girl!"
Jessica opened her eyes, and the doctor lifted her baby, she could only see her silhouette as her gaze was blocked by tears. When the doctor laid her baby on Jessica's chest, she felt it was the most beautiful moment of her life.
Jessica immediately touched her tiny red lips, adorable cheeks, and her fingers. While the doctor cut her umbilical cord, shortly after the nurse took the baby to clean and check, Jessica felt empty.
Thirty minutes later Jessica and her baby were moved to the inpatient room, much to Jessica's surprise when she entered the inpatient room, Daniel and his family were already there.
'Who told them? Why are they here?' Jessica clutched her baby tightly, as if she wanted to protect her little daughter from Daniel.
Daniel approached her. "I'm her husband, Sus. Let me just push him," he took over to push Jessica's wheelchair up to the bed.
Jessica forced a smile on Claire and her mother-in-law as her wheelchair passed them. Daniel also helps Jessica lie in her bed.
Claire and Grace give Daniel a chance to accompany Jessica and the baby, so that they both stay where they are not trying to get close, Eski is eager to see the baby closer.
"Jess, I'm not gonna hurt you. Believer!!" Daniel was sitting on the bed next to his wife, when the nurse had left the inpatient room. Daniel lowered the blanket that wrapped their baby to the chin, so that he could clearly see the baby he had been waiting for his presence.
The beautiful baby girl tried to open her eyes, they both felt it was the most amazing thing, as the tiny baby yawned, Daniel and Jessica looked at each other, she said, they both fell in love with their baby.
With hesitation, Daniel asks Jessica for permission to hold his daughter. "I beg you, Jess," he asked softly.
Slowly Jessica stretched her baby towards Daniel, the man seemed happy to be able to hold the baby directly, even her eyes began to glaze over. "Thank you Jess, you've conceived and given birth to our baby." she also brought Jessoca into her arms.
Jessica looked very comfortable leaning on her husband's shoulder. "Do you have an idea for our baby's name?" ask Daniel. Their relationship is not like that of a married couple in general, throughout their pregnancy they are cleanly tense so there is never a chance to discuss the name of the child.
"Maybe Estelle, because she's glowing like a star" Jessica said, giving her the idea she had in her head.
Jessica nodded in agreement, she did not want her daughter to have a name that was too long.
Claire and Grace were relieved because apparently the presence of the baby could melt the atmosphere of their household which was almost on the edge of the horn. Unlike Claire and Grace, Jessica's mother hasn't shown her happy face since she walked into the hospital room to see Daniel and his family.
Alice does not want her daughter to divorce Daniel, only to be like the old days, at least Daniel must provide guarantees for the safety of his daughter and granddaughter if they decide to get back together.
After a long leaning back, Jessica finally moved away from Daniel's shoulder, so that she could observe Daniel holding their daughter. It was such a sight to see Daniel interacting with his daughter, Jessica could see how much love Daniel had for his daughter.
Jessica must admit that Daniel is so amazing in so many ways. He is affectionate, considerate, intelligent, hardworking and successful. Not much different from what his late father had, his father was so doting, intelligent, hardworking, and successful. But even so, Jessica's hatred is greater than her father's affection because all the best things that her father had were instantly lost when Jessica saw her father beating her mother.
Jessica looked at Daniel then turned to her daughter, she felt now was the time for her to do her best for Estelle, for the good relationship that would be established between her daughter and her father.
Jessica made this decision not for her sake or for Daniel's sake, but it's all for Estelle's sake.
"Daniel's.."
Daniel smiled, looking at Jessica. "Yes dear."
"I'm asking for a divorce."
Daniel's eyes blinked twice, the words hitting him like an electric shock. Not only was Daniel surprised, but Claire and Grace were also surprised, because he suspected that Jessica would receive Daniel back.
Wanting Grace to ask Jessica what she meant, Alice forbade her, she coded Grace to remain calm and not interfere in her son's domestic affairs.
Daniel grimaced and looked back at his daughter. "Jess.." she said, shaking her head. "I beg you not to do this to me, Jess.." her voice was so sweet, and Jessica hated it, because it was the same voice that Daniel apologized for the violence he had done before.
"One more chance, Jess. I beg you." His voice broke out along with the tears rushing down his cheeks. "I'll do anything for you and Estelle."
Jessica knew she was hurting Daniel at the wrong time. At the time when they should have welcomed their children they had been waiting for, but Jessica also knew if not now, then she would not have had another chance.
