CHAPTER 24

Early in the morning Jessica went to her boutique, her hands trembling as she reached for the doorknob, but she was usually happy every time she entered the boutique, without any anxiety.

The building was dark as he entered, so he immediately turned on the entire lamp. Jessica walked into her study, pushing the door vigilantly until it opened. Daniel is not here.

While sitting at her desk, Jessica turned on her phone. There were 30 incoming messages from Daniel, but none that Jessica read, she chose to work. Many files he had to sign, many orders he had to draw.

Jessica tried to concentrate even though her heart was so anxious. All the time he kept looking up when he heard the door open. He wondered if Daniel had really destroyed his life and tranquility?

Half a day passed without a phone call coming in from Daniel, Jessica continued to work on completing her final pattern, until Claire contacted her to let her know if she was already in Jakarta, from her voice clearly Claire did not know about her quarrel with Daniel. Jessica lets Claire tell her about her short visit to her mother-in-law's house until Jessica finally pretends to have a customer and ends her phone call.

Jessica was planning to go home after her employees finished their lunch break, and she still had thirty minutes left to finish it all.

Three minutes later Daniel came, he walked into Jessica's study and this was the first time Jessica had seen her husband since Daniel had treated her, two nights ago.

Jessica's entire body was instantly washed away by the memories of that night, her feelings wrapped in fear mixed with anger that was so swift all over her body when Daniel stood before her.

Danile raised her hand and placed a set of keys on her desk. "I'm leaving for Osaka tonight" he said. "As you know, if my project has a problem, so maybe I haven't been home for three to four months."

His voice sounded so calm. "I know you need time" Daniel gulped with great difficulty. "I'll give it to you." Daniel grimaced and shifted the key towards him. "Here's Jessica, I'm not gonna be there. I promise."

Daniel turned his body and started walking towards the door. It was realized by Jessica that Daniel did not try to apologize even though he had made a very fatal mistake, it was very curious to feel Jessica stab a knife into the man's body.

"Daniel."

Daniel turned his head towards Jessica looking at him as if giving a barrier between them. She did not turn over completely and seemed stiff waiting for what Jessica wanted to tell her.

"You know what the worst part of all this is?" ask Jessica.

Daniel did not reply, he just stared and waited for a reply from Jessica.

"The only thing you need to do when you watch those cheap interviews and gossip, you ask me for confirmation first. I'll tell you everything honestly, but you didn't do that, you didn't want to know my explanation at all and now we're both bearing the consequences you've done."

Daniel grimacing. "Jessica," he turned around completely and was about to walk towards her, but Jessica brandished her hand forbidding him to speak. "I don't want to hear your alibi Daniel, you better go and have a good job, hope your work is good."

Jessica could see the war raging in Daniel and Daniel knew he would not be able to persuade Jessica at this time, no matter how hard he apologized to Jessica. The only option he had was to turn to the door and leave his wife's boutique.

When Daniel finally managed to drag his step out of the boutique, Jessica ran away and immediately locked the door of her study. He slumped to the floor and hugged his knees, he buried his face there. Jessica was trembling so violently, to the point that her teeth were grinding. She is now pregnant with a child who has taken care of her and destroyed her, how will Jessica ever tell this to her child?

Instead of choosing between a house and her old apartment, Jessica instead chose to go to Rey's residence. Not without reason he returned to the beach house, there are items left in Rey's house.

Claire:

"Then are you going home?" Rey could not hide her worry.

"I can't stay here and hold Rey, I'm still the wife of someone. Daniel's been to Osaka anyway, three to four months he's not coming home."

Rey breathed her heavy breath. "Alright, but you eat first. I've prepared pasta for you, "he's taking Jessica to the kitchen.
