When Jessica entered the living room, she was surprised to find Daniel sitting on the sofa, with Estelle asleep on his chest. He hugged his daughter while enjoying a glass of ice.
Jessica's eyes are still guerrilla, as she sees no sign of Claire's presence in her apartment.
"Hi" said Daniel without looking up at Jessica.
Despite not looking at her, Jessica could still see Daniel's jaw hardening, a sign that he was angry. Jessica wanted to take Estelle from Daniel's arms, but the boy looked peaceful. "How long has he been asleep?"
Daniel still enjoys his ice. "Since my ice order came."
The ice has melted, so it shows at least thirty minutes. Claire finally came. “Hei, Jess. I'm sorry that Dania and I fell asleep in your room, Harry was out for a minute buying something." They glanced at each other for two seconds, Claire giving an apology code if Daniel was suddenly in her apartment.
Jessica gave him the code, told him it was okay. Daniel's father, it's normal for a father to hear the news that his son is sick and he decides to go home earlier than he should.
“Claire, can you put my daughter to bed? I need to talk to Jessica.” The firmness in her voice made Jessica and Claire wary. They stare at each other as Claire releases Estelle from Daniel's chest.
Daniel put his glass on the table and then stood up, watching Jessica's high heels and clothes. Daniel coded if he wanted to talk to Jessica on the rooftop because Claire and Harry in the apartment, he needed privacy to talk.
Daniel exits the apartment and walks towards the rooftop. Claire rushed over to Jessica again after Daniel closed the door. "I told him you were in a relationship."
"Thank you."
Before going on a date, Claire swears to Jessica that she won't tell Daniel about her date with Rey, but Jessica doesn't know why Daniel is so upset if he doesn't know where Jessica is going. "Why is he upset?"
Claire shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. He looked fine when he came thirty minutes ago.”
Jessica knows Daniel better than anyone, Daniel can look fine, but in an instant he can explode. Does he know I'm dating? Does he know it's with Rey?'
"Yes, I'll catch up with him. Please take care of Estelle for a moment!"
As soon as Jessica arrived at Rooftop, she saw Daniel leaning against the wall while staring at the street below. Jessica's stomach was already heartburn, as she walked towards him. Daniel looked at Jessica. "You look ... beautiful."
Daniel says it in a way that makes Jessica seem like an insult rather than a compliment, or maybe Jessica just misinterpreted it. "Thank you" he leaned against the wall, waiting for Daniel to talk about whatever was bothering him.
"Have you just come home on a date?"
"I'm out of shape." Jessica agreed with Claire's lie. There is no point in being honest with Daniel, because it is too early for Daniel to know his relationship with Rey and the truth will only make Daniel even more upset.
Daniel was silent for a moment before finally speaking. "I've never enjoyed an ice tinder before tonight."
Jessica knows she's angry, but she doesn't know what makes Daniel angry and what it has to do with the iced sting that he drinks.
Daniel turned to face Jessica with a treacherous expression. “You named our daughter Estelle?” he took a step closer. "Because of your relationship with that man?"
Jessica immediately felt a pulse on her temple, she chose the name Estelle because it has a good meaning, which is illuminating, has nothing to do with Rey. Jessica cleared her throat “I chose that name because it's a beautiful name, it has nothing to do with anyone else.”
Daniel let go of a desperate and disappointed laugh. "You're such a liar, Jessica. Estella is a continuation of ice, the main menu at the man's restaurant and Estella is the name of the female lead in the film she played, which is similar to your story."
Jessica didn't watch the movie and didn't know about Rey's restaurant. He wanted to argue with her, to further prove Daniel wrong, but she began to fear him. His attitude brought back to the fear he had experienced. Jessica tried to defuse the situation by running away. "I want to go home now." he walked up the stairs, but Daniel walked faster than Jessica.
Daniel moved past Jessica, then he was between Jessica and the door to the stairs. Jessica took a step back in fear. Jessica put her hand in her bag to look for a cell phone, afraid she might need help.
"We have to change the name" he said.
Jessica kept her voice sounding firm and stable as I responded. “Daniel, for God's sake I don't know about it. I've never even seen a movie that Rey starred in, nor do I know about her restaurant business. I can confirm this is just a coincidence, I didn't think about her when I mentioned Estelle's name. And we've already agreed on that name, so don't try to change our daughter's name." Jessica tries to avoid him, but Daniel moves in with her.
Jessica glanced back to measure the distance between herself and the edge of the rooftop.she felt Daniel would throw her into the street, as the man was once able to push her down the stairs.
"Did he know?" ask Daniel.
What kind of stupid question is this? Of course Rey knows, even if I don't tell her. Rey has social media and I often upload photos of Estelle there. But once again Estelle has nothing to do with Rey.
“Where do I know, Daniel. You're making me nervous. Can we go back down?”
Daniel's attitude drives Jessica crazy with fear, he looks at her for a moment, wondering if this fight is over or there's still a lot he wants to say. Jessica wanted this done, she got rid of Daniel and started to open the door. "Jess, wait!"
Jessica stopped because Daniel's voice was much calmer. "I'm sorry, Jess. You know how I feel about all the things that are related to him? I'm really upset to know that our daughter's name has something to do with her, or maybe you did use that name to hurt me?"
Jessica folded her hands in front of her chest. “It has nothing to do with you or Rey. It was all just because I liked the name and it came to my head the first time I looked at Estelle."
Daniel nodded once with a stiff expression, but it seemed like he received that answer. The two of them were silent for a while, Jessica just wanted to get away from the rooftop and sleep with her daughter, but Daniel seemed to have more to say.
