CHAPTER 5

"Morning, Babe," said Daniel to his wife, opening the curtains. "How are you doing? What's better?"

Jessica yawned while stretching her muscles. To be honest, his whole body was still very sick. "My head is still dizzy," Jessica tried to sit down.

Daniel rushes over to her, helping Jessica sit on her bed . "Palan-pelan darling. What do you want? Let me get it!"

What a sweet treatment this Daniel made Jessica's heart melted, but if remembering what Daniel had done to her he again felt hatred towards her husband, but on the other hand Daniel was not entirely guilty, but on the other hand, there is a part of Daniel's past that is so dark. Jessica has decided to forgive Daniel and return to repair his domestic relationship, should not he still hold anger against Daniel.

"Babe, I have something for you," Danirl held out a paper bag to Jessica.

"What's this?" ask Jessica curiously.

"Open up!"

Daniel presented Jessica with the latest mobile phone, as an apology for tampering with her phone. "When did you buy this? Didn't you accompany me here all night?"

"Last night I asked my staff to buy it" Daniel replied. "I've changed your number and entered my number, Claire, Harry and our parents. I think that's enough."

Jessica shook her head, she found Daniel so outrageous. "Daniel, my life is not just you. I also have a dream that I am achieving, how can you only allow me to only relate to myself and my family? What about my client?"

"Okay, fine." Daniel relented. "You can enter your client as long as it's not him."

Jessica exhaled heavily, she no longer knew what to do with her husband if he and Rey were nothing. "Didn't we agree yesterday that I'd leave this project to Claire? You still don't believe it, either?"

"No, that's not Jes... It's just..."

Jessica threw her body on the bed, then pulled the blanket and turned her back on Daniel. "This relationship won't work if you're always suspicious of me, I'm tired of Daniel."

Daniel got into bed and lying next to Jessica, he hugged his wife tightly. "I didn't mean to curb you at all, I was just afraid of losing you Jess.." she buried her face in Jessica's hair.

Jessica turned her body to face Daniel. "Daniel, you'll lose me if you're too possessive. Please act as usual as before this!"

"Well, I'll try, baby." Daniel landed his lips on Jessica's lips, he softly and warmly wrapped his wife. "I love you so much, Jess," she whispered as she let go of her kiss.

Daniel was forced to get out of his wife's bed because he heard the door open and soon the doctor and nurse came. The doctor suggested that Jessica immediately do an MRI, of course Daniel agreed with all the examinations that his wife had to undergo, he did not want anything to happen to Jessica.

Throughout the examination, Daniel continues beside Jessica. He showed so much responsibility and regret for what he had done, Daniel ceaselessly prayed that the entire examination results were good and there were no serious internal injuries to his wife's organs.

After the examination, Daniel returned to take Jessica to the hospital room. He was so painstaking in taking care of his wife, from bathing, changing her clothes to bribing her.

"Today I am for you dear," replied Daniel, he preparing medicine for his wife to drink.

Jessica smiled cynically. "If it wasn't for you feeling guilty, you wouldn't have taken your time for me."

Daniel reached over, looking at Jessica seriously as he held out a glass of water to her. "I promise, even after this you'll still be my priority" she helped Jessica put the medicine in her mouth.

Just as Daniel promised to focus more on Jessica and her household, Daniel got a call from his office. "From the secretary," he said after he saw the screen on his phone. "I promise it won't be long, he'd most like to question the design of the building we're working on."

Jessica shrugged her shoulders. "Get your job done, I'm gonna take a break."

"I promise it won't be long" she peed at Jessica's forehead before she left the room.

Just two minutes after Daniel left, Jessica felt herself wanting to pee, but she was afraid of falling in the bathroom because the dizziness in her head had not subsided. Just now he was about to press the nurse call button to call the hospital, the door of his room opened.

Jessica was relieved, because Daniel finally came. But the relief was gone when he saw not Daniel coming, but Rey. For a few seconds they were silent because they were both shocked. Rey focused her attention on the wound near Jessica's eyes. "What's going on?" tanyakanya.

Jessica shakes. "There's nothing."

Rey narrowed her eyes. "You're lying, Jessica."

Jessica forced herself to smile, covering up her nervousness. "It's just an accident."

Rey laughed, but at once her face turned flat, "Leave your husband!"

Jessica changed her position to sit, shaking her head. "You misunderstood Rey, this wound has nothing to do with Daniel. Daniel was a good man and he loved me very much."

Rey tilted her head. "You're so funny, just like your mother always stood up for your father," she's known Jessica for a long time about knowing Jessica's background and even the secrets of the Jessica family that many people don't know.

The words are so pierced into Jesica's heart, she attempts to reach for the nurse call button to expel Rey from her inpatient room, but Rey holds Jessica's wrist. "Leave him, Jessic. Come with me!"

Jessica held her hand out of Rey's. "Once again I say this has nothing to do with Daniel. Stop looking at me like that because you're scaring me. You better get out of here and not interfere in my domestic affairs!"

Rey shook her head. "No, I'm not leaving here until I get you out!"

"You don't go crazy, Rey. I'm somebody's wife, you can't take me for granted."

"I don't care, Jess. I love you so much, and I won't let anyone hurt you," those words just slid off to coincide with Daniel's entry into his wife's hospital room.
