Mas Adji and Keisha still feel at home in front of the television. While I've gone to prepare dinner.
"Kei, after dinner we go to the house of worship, will you?" Mas Adji opened his voice.
Keisha used to call his mother Mas Adji by his symbol papa, not grandmother. Strange indeed, but Keisha still did not want to call her grandma, like she called my mother. Maybe because he was not so close to the mother of his father.
I myself wonder why suddenly Mas Adji took me to his mother's house. She used to visit her mother alone without taking us both. Because he knows, my relationship with his mother is not so good.
Although our homes were not very far away, we rarely visited each other. I feel unwelcome at my in-laws' house. And my in-laws also seemed reluctant to get closer to me or Keisha.
"Mmm .. Why not Pa?" ask Keisha doubtfully.
"No doubt, we'll play at the sewage house for a while. Papa Kangen is as symbolic as Papa. We haven't played there in a long time, have we?"
Mas Adji was quietly waiting for an answer from Keisha.
"Mama's coming, right?" Keisha looked towards me.
"Of course ... " I haven't been able to answer yet, Mas Adji has preceded me.
"Well, isn't it Ma?" Mas Adji tried to convince Keisha. He behaved as usual as if our relationship was fine.
Keisha looked at me, waiting for an answer from me. I was forced to nod too.
"Yes, but just a minute, Pa?" Mas Adji smiled and nodded at Keisha's reply.
After dinner, Mas Adji really took me and Keisha to his mother's house. And now the three of us are standing in front of my in-laws' house.
The house is quite large and still very beautiful. From the outside, this house looks very comfortable to live in. But to me this house is nothing more than a house full of terror.
Back when Mas Adji wanted to marry me, I applied for the condition that he should want to stay with me. Although not as rich as Mas Adji's family, my family had several vacant lots, and we were able to build a house in one of them after marriage. I don't want to live under one roof with his mother and Mas Adji agrees.
His father Mas Adji is dead, his mother lives alone. In order not to feel lonely, the mother asked Mas Adji's younger sister Maya and her husband to stay with her.
I don't know what Mas Adji meant to bring us here, but my feelings have been bad since entering the courtyard.
"Let's go in" said Mas Adji.
Keisha looks doubtful, so do I. We were both dumb, not stepping our feet immediately. Finally Mas Adji took the initiative to hold keisha and bring her into the house.
Mas Adji walks straight to the living room and finds his mother sitting on the carpet with Vino, Maya's toddler son.
"What are you doing?" mas Adji asked after landing his ass next to his mother.
"This again accompanies Vino to play," my mother-in-law replied briefly.
"How are you, ma'am?" my broom.
My in-laws didn't answer my greetings. He only looked at me for a while after that he looked back at Vino. He didn't even say hello to Keisha sitting beside my left.
"Kei, salim is as symbolic as you used to be," I said again.
Keisha got up from her seat and shook hands with her grandmother after that again sitting next to me.
There was no word spoken from my in-laws mouth for Keisha, her granddaughter who hadn't met in months. We were all silent until the atmosphere was quiet.
"They have some business outside."
The mood was silent again. No one is talking. Only occasionally heard chattering from Vino who was not even two years old.
My in-laws don't want to look at me or Keisha at all. He continued to pay attention to Vino while occasionally turning towards Mas Adji to show how cute Vino was. My in-laws continued to look at Vino and Mas Adji, as if only the three of them were in this room.
Suddenly my in-laws stood up and picked up the wine that was located on the table just to my right. He brought the wine before Vino and cleaned it.
One by one he stuffed the wine into Vino's mouth, ignoring Keisha who was glaring while holding her saliva.
"This is Maya who bought it, so only for Vino," my in-laws said whether she talked to anyone because her eyes kept on Vino.
"We also have wine in the fridge?" I whispered to Keisha. He immediately took his eyes off the wine and turned to look at me.
"Later we eat after here" I whispered again. Keisha smiled and nodded.
"The woman depends only on the man" said my in-laws suddenly.
"Don't ask for a divorce if you can't find money!"
Ah ... I should have expected this to happen. Yesterday's problems must have reached the ears of my beloved in-laws.
"Adji is a man, it's only natural that he knows one or two women. A man will easily get another wife if he gets divorced. Moreover, Adji, his position in the office is high, his salary is a lot and has a car as well. Must be a lot of women who want to be with him even though he's a widower."
Jeng ... Jeng ... A.c ...!!!
"You should take care of yourself! If Adji's with another woman, it's probably because he's tired of looking at you."
This sentence is a confirmation if Mas Adji is with another woman, but why am I the one who looks bad here?
"You're unemployed, just a housewife! Life also relies only on money from Adji. If you want to get divorced from Adji, what can you do to support yourself and your child?!"
I was so upset to hear it. What if I am unemployed? "free" housewives?! Maybe my in-laws forgot, if before I also worked, even my salary was quite a lot. I quit my job because I gave birth. And after that Mas Adji didn't let me go back to work so I could focus on taking care of our daughter.
"Your own loss, right? Which unemployed widow would you like? Moreover, your body is that big. As for Adji, he can choose whichever woman he likes!"
How harsh these words of my in-laws' mouths are. Until this moment I was still silent even though my ears were hot and my face was red. But I can still hold myself back. I just glanced at Mas Adji to see his reaction.
"What did you say?" sela Mas Adji's.
"Loh ... right?! What you want is a lot!"
My in-laws turned towards Mas Adji then looked at me for a while and went back to Vino.
"Adji is living in your house. But he makes a living. You and Keisha are just depending on her. Don't ask for a divorce and throw Adji out of your house! The house is your parents who made it, but Adji also has rights because he has financed your life during marriage to her!"
The longer the words that came out of my in-laws' mouths the more absurd they became. My quarrel with Mas Adji was not about the house and the money. We had a fight because of that whore named Eva. Why go all this way?!
"Already! There is no divorce! Cheating is normal. Adji's father cheated on her, but she forgave him. And the proof, the mother's household lasted until her father Adji died." I couldn't believe this one.
Whaties??? Cheating is normal ??? Just the truth!!!
