Chapter 48
Kerelyn and Raina were walking in the yard of the old house when Raina's cell phone rang and she saw Gerard's name there,. “Didn't you lift it?” kerleyn asked because she saw Raina just staring at the screen of the phone doing nothing.
“No, I will call her again later,” Raina replied with a smile.
“My phone has run out of batteries, I hope Daniel knows I'm with you so he can call you or Lexa if there's something important,” said Kerelyn who got a nod from Raina.
They had just set foot on the creaking wooden terrace when the door of the old house suddenly opened and revealed the figure of a tall handsome man who Kerelyn was already very familiar with.
“Matt, what are you doing here?” kerelyn asked with sparkling eyes.
“Of course waiting for you, dear,” replied Matt with his friendly smile, he then turned his eyes towards Raina who was standing next to Kerelyn, “Well, look who this is who came with you.” Matt kissed Raina's hand making the girl blush, “Come in, Harry, have been waiting for you daritadi, we have a surprise for you.”
“Surprise?” Kerelyn asked as she walked into the house followed by Raina and Matt behind them who closed the door after making sure no one had seen them.
“Harry, they've come!” Matt yelled out to Harry.
“Matt, I didn't know you knew Mr. Robert very well,” Kerelyn said as she looked at Matt with a big smile.
“You will be very surprised when you find out how close we have been.” Matt's words made Kerely raise his eyebrows, then he decided to forget about it and look around the very simple house.
There is only one family room that doubles up as a living room where a television that seems no longer lit is on an old table attached to a wooden wall that has white paint brownish, on the other hand, a set of wooden chairs with dull green pads that have been thinned with flowers that have faded. Raina looks interested in the old photo on the nightstand next to the chair.
“So where Mr. Robert?” kerelyn asked curiously because she didn't see her boss there.
“It looks like he is in the park.well that's him,” Matt said as he gazed towards the kitchen where it was connected to the door leading outside. Harry walked inside with a few red tulip stalks in his hand, his smile instantly blotting when he saw Kerelyn standing in the middle of the room.
“Kerelyn, you finally came too,” she said with sparkling eyes behind her thick glasses, “Wah, you brought her with you?” he asked as he looked at Raina who was putting a frame on the nightstand, “Good, he will complete our surprise, right, Matt?”
“Of course, Harry,” replied Matt with a big smile, but Kerelyn looked in her eyes focused on the flower in Harry's hand.
“That flower..”
“This? You like her?” harry asked as he kissed the flower in his hand and made Kerelyn's fur begin to bristle, as well as Raina who had felt something was wrong when she saw Kerelyn paling.
“Have you been the one who sent it?” Kerelyn asked with her heart beating violently, suspicions beginning to surface, she recalled the serial killer Daniel told her about, but was it possible that the man before her was the culprit?
“Harry is always looking for the prettiest flower in his garden that will be given to you, Kerelyn,” Matt said as he sat back on a wooden chair.
Raina walked up to Kerelyn who was still standing with a deathly pale face, “Kerelyn are you okay? Looks like you're sick, we should go now,” Raina said as she looked at Kerelyn seriously, making the red-haired woman look at her and that's when Raina signaled Kerelyn to calm down, he held his cold hand. Then squeezing it encourages if everything will be fine, even if he does not know what really happened.
“You're right, I don't feel well.I'm sorry but we better go now, I have to go to the doctor,”.
“Oh no-no, Kerelyn, all you need right now is not a doctor Harry said with a fluffy smile on his face with Matt nodding his head in agreement.
“You may not know, but all this time I've been there to look after and take care of you. You don't need anyone else but me,” continued Harry as he approached Kerelyn and Raina holding hands to support each other.
Raina could feel Kerelyn's body shaking violently due to the fear that enveloped her body.
“Don't forget me,” said Matt who was still sitting in the chair very comfortably did not care about the two women who were now like rats trapped among tigers.
“Ah yes, of course Matt also helps me in taking care of you.. You may not realize that we have known all this time is not it?” Suddenly Harry laughed so loudly that Kerelyn and Raina could only look at each other to see the man laughing for no reason.
“Matt, aren't we great actors? No one knows that we know each other for a long time,” Harry said in between his laughter made Matt laugh.
“You're right, I think we deserve the Oscar, Harry.”
“You're right.. oscar cup.” Harry would have stopped laughing when he looked back at Kerelyn and Raina who were still standing, they were now leaning on the window frame of the old house whose glass was dull.
“Oh no.. You two think wrong if you think we are lovers,” continued Harry who made Matt laugh again.
“Kerelyn, do you believe I'm gay? Oh God, I'm really a great actor.” Matt kept laughing out loud until his eyes watered, “Harry, I really have to get that oscar trophy,” he continued among blaring laughter.
“Kerelyn... Matt, he hates men so much, so there's no way he's connected to those disgusting men,” said Harry while looking at Kerelyn who seemed to not believe that all this time he thought he had known who Matt Foster really was, but it turns out he did not know him at all.
“So did I.. Do you know, my mother even died because of a man she thought loved her, but it turned out that man beat her to death. Those men are so mean, never trust them, Little star.”
Kerelyn could see the anger and hate in Harry's eyes when he spoke and it almost caused him to panic, but she recalled that her psychologist had given her advice on how to panic, in addition to regulating her breathing she tries to think positively that someone out there will come to her aid. Alexa! Alexa is still out there and she's hoping that Daniel's sister will realize that something's wrong in here and will seek help as soon as possible. So does Raina who secretly steals a look outside hoping to see her cousin.
