Chapter 47

Gerard arrives at the NYPD office within ten minutes and runs straight to Alex's empty desk, he went around looking for his best friend until he finally met with Alex's colleague Phillip and took him to the second floor where several detectives and police were meeting. Alex was standing in front of a blackboard where several photos were attached to it. He nodded towards Gerard and asked him to join.

“As described earlier, we managed to get evidence that Harry Robert was behind the broken brakes on Daniel's car and after we investigated further we believed that he was the suspect behind the white tulip murders

A mutter began to fill the room, until finally a black man with a neat stelan told them to shut up, Gerard knew the man in his mid-forties as the police chief there.

“Harry Robert, whose real name is Harry Hadson, was adopted by Robert's family at the age of 14. His biological mother Martha Hadson,” Alex points to a red-haired woman taped over a photo of Harry, “Killed when Harry was 8 years old by his drunken girlfriend.” Alex now points to a picture of a plontos-haired man attached next to a picture of Harry's mother, “The little boy was found by Martha's friend who was about to meet them lying unconscious on top of her mother's lifeless body with wounds all over her body, the killer was found lying not far from them with wood piercing his body, and died while on his way to the hospital. While his biological father is unknown whereabouts.”

Everyone was silent to Alex's explanation, “Police closed the case because no one was a witness other than Harry who suffered severe trauma from witnessing the death of his biological mother. Harry ended up living in an orphanage and it was there that he met Matthew Andrew or what we now know as Matt Forster.” Alex points to a picture of Matt attached next to Harry's picture.

This time a short-haired woman of shoulder who came forward and began to speak, “Matt, was an orphan victim of sexual violence by her own stepfather.” There was a mutter of police who could not believe the information they had just heard, “At that time Matt was 8 years old who had difficulty socializing until Harry finally came and managed to get close to Matt. They tell all the secrets of their lives and they become dependent on each other. Matt was adopted by the foster family at the age of 10 but he still likes to see Harry at the orphanage, and Harry was eventually adopted. When Harry was 22 his adoptive parents died in an accident and Harry inherited all of Robert's family fortune including his current company.”

“You should see this,” Alex said while sticking to a photo of Harry's family funeral printed in the newspaper, and a mockery was heard in the room when he saw a photo of the funeral where Harry was placing a bouquet of white tulips with red patches on top of the navel of his adoptive parents.

“And whether by chance or not Matt's stepfather was found dead from overdosing shortly after the death of Harry's adoptive parents.” Alex's remarks made speculation fill the room.

“After that nothing happened, Harry managed to become a successful businessman and Matt turned into a top artist.” The black-haired woman who was talking back made everyone fall silent again to pay attention to her, “Until finally three years ago Kerelyn Howard almost died of violence received by her lover. Blood-soaked photos of Kerelyn circulated throughout American newspapers and it seemed to re-awaken memories of Harry's past that had been buried in his subconscious. Kerelyn has something in common with her red-haired mother and accepts violence from her lover, which is what makes her become obsessed with Kerelyn.”

Gerard now understands the insane reason behind the murder committed by the insane psychopath. He saw his watch that had shown at 3:30 which means that it was almost an hour after Daniel disappeared, he hoped that the meeting would be over quickly and the police would move in to find Daniel and find him.

“And now he's after Daniel Winchester, Kerelyn's lover.” Alex said as he stood in front, Gerard could now see the emotion in his best friend's blue eyes when talking about Daniel, “Daniel is thought to have taken Kerelyn from him and that was proven by an assassination attempt he made a few days ago but fortunately it failed. At about 2:30 we figured that Harry and Matt had gotten Daniel, and we lost track of him. So does Kerelyn, we don't know about her whereabouts because she can't be reached. Several officers had gone to Harry and Matt's residence but found none of them there or at work.”

“We found Kerelyn!” Everyone is now staring at Lucy who just came while walking quickly closer to Alex, “Managernya said that Kerelyn had lunch with Alexa and Raina.”

“Sial!” Alex and Gerard cursing simultaneously when they heard the news, with a trembling hand Alex took out his phone directly against Alexa. So did Gerard who tried to contact Raina.

“Lexi, where are you now?”

Everyone was silent to Alex's conversation with Alexa, the tense atmosphere was so felt in the room. Gerard was still trying to contact Raina, but his phone was not picked up making him scold.

“You're with Kerelyn and Raina?”

Gerard turns off his phone after hearing Alex's words, he now looks focused on watching Alex and hopes that the three of them are okay, but his heart is racing when he hears Alex cursing. Alex briefly explains what is going on and asks Alexa for her address and tells her to go and hide. Alex yells at Harry's current location and tells all the units to get there as soon as possible because Harry has Karelyn and now Daniel, Kerelyn and Raina's lives are in danger.

“G, you're coming with me!” Excite Alex while half running down the stairs, “Kerelyn and Raina have gotten into Harry's trap, and damn it! Lexi's definitely not going to obey me, and just look until she gets back there and doesn't listen to me. I swear I'll lock her up in the apartment and throw away the keys!” alex growled with emotion while running leaving Lucy who stood staring.
