Chapter 25

“See who's coming... Dear Kerelyn, you look as beautiful as ever,” Simon Javier said as he reached out to shake the hand of Kerelyn who was trying to regulate her emotions, everyone was looking at them wondering what was going to happen. Daniel smiled giving Kerelyn the strength to be more courageous.

“Thank you Simon,” Kerelyn replied while receiving a helping hand from Simon who politely directly kissed the back of Kerelyn's hand who tried to smile even though he had to grumble his teeth.

“Well, I see you have a bodyguard,” Simon continued while looking at Daniel who was kind of watching him like a hunting dog watching his prey.

“Of course, I won't let him come to the tiger cage by himself,” said Daniel casually who made Simon raise his eyebrows, but suddenly he looks surprised when he sees Alexa is there joined by Kerelyn and Daniel.

“Aren't you, Alexa, Jack's lover?” ask her while looking at Alexa with a full search.

“Yes, apparently you still know me,” replied Alexa trying to say as normal as possible after remembering that Jack is a pseudonym Alex.

“Of course, I will not forget beautiful women just like that,” Simon said while kissing Alexa's hand.

“Here you apparently!” exclaimed Alex who suddenly came and immediately embraced Alexa's shoulder, “I searched for you from earlier,” he continued with a smile, but his eyes looked at the girl sharply as if he wanted to eat her alive.

“Jack, I didn't know your boyfriend knew Kerelyn?” simon asked who made everyone look at each other nervously.

“He's Ethan's ex-girlfriend, you know Ethankan? My sister? We haven't seen each other for a long time and this is our first meeting after last year they moved to Paris.”

It was fortunate that Kerelyn could think quickly to dispel the suspicions of a Simon Javier who could make things fall apart. Simon nodded and fortunately the host of the party began to open the event which made the man resigned to go up to the podium and give a speech.

“What are you doing here?!” Whisper Alex with a growling voice, “I almost had a heart attack when I saw the wedge approaching you!” he continued in a whisper.

“What really happened?” raina asked curiously because they got the same question from Daniel and Gerard.

“I'll explain later, but now we better get out of here. Kerelyn, where's Eddy?” daniel asked because he hadn't seen Kerelyn's manager's nose.

“I don't know, we came together but after Gerard came with me, he disappeared without knowing where.”

Daniel tells Kerelyn that he can predict this but he doesn't think Eddy will just leave Kerelyn, fortunately, he saw two men that Kerelyn had told him they were the bodyguards Eddy had prepared for him. Alex signals Gerard and Daniel to come closer, trying to be as normal as possible without making Simon and his guards suspicious, he sips his side while whispering.

“After you see me go together ******** that... You all go from here,” he whispered without taking his eyes off Simon who was talking on the podium about providing help for cancer patients through the foundation he built, which was immediately greeted by applause by invited guests.

Daniel and Gerard nodded in understanding, Simon has now stepped off the podium and the invited guests have begun to take out his checks which they put into the large round jars carried by the beautiful women wearing gold dress uniforms. The room is now filled with beautiful music, making some couples dance on the dance floor and some are enjoying various buffet dishes that have been provided. Alex sees Simon giving him a sign to follow him who immediately gets a nod from him, he gives the code to the fellow police who are mingling undercover there when the time is near, he then hugs Alexa.

“Follow the orders of Daniel and Gerard, get out of here now, do you understand?” alex whispered in Alexa's ears that although confused but finally the girl nodded, and Alex-pun left them all.

“Ok, now we go from here,” said Daniel trying to be normal considering the others do not know about what is going on at this time.

“Daniel, you take them all away from here, I'll find Raina.. ask for the help of Kerelyn's bodyguards to escort you all,” said Gerard, who was immediately understood by Daniel, and it was at that moment that Eddy came up with a bright face.

“Here apparently all of you, do you enjoy the party?” he asked with a face of a sigh because it seemed like he really enjoyed his party which made Daniel want to hit him.

“Not everyone enjoys this party like you do... Eddy, listen to me, Kerelyn's a little dizzy so we'd better take her home now,” Daniel said as he grabbed Kerelyn and signaled Gerard to let her go find Raina.

“You sick? Alright we go home now,” Eddy said with a worried tone.

“Sarah, you're coming with Daniel, I'll catch up with you all.” soon Sarah who had looked confused before did not understand the conditions that were happening could only nod in agreement.

Gerard broke through the crowd enjoying the party, he kept walking across the room until he finally found the long hallway, which was, he went down the aisle trying to find the toilet but he only saw the servants passing by with his silver tray, he then turned left and his eyes could see the bright red dress that Raina had worn up the stairs.

“For God's sake what he's doing up there!" berumpat Gerard while walking quickly trying to chase Raina, he continued to walk down the hall that looks lonely only heard a frenetic sound from the lower floor, he stopped for a moment, he stopped, her eyebrows furrowed when she saw Raina sneaking around and hiding behind a wall to peek into the hallway leading to the balcony.

Gerard walked slowly without making a sound, he was now standing behind Raina and peering over her head, “What are you looking at?” the successful whisper of Gerard surprised Raina who instantly surged while holding her chest.

“Sial! Gerard, you surprised me!” Raina whispered a reflex in Indonesian that made Gerard peek back behind the wall and look around.

“What should I see?” the serious question made Raina wrinkle her eyebrows, “Didn't you just tell me to look at everything?” he continued with a still serious face, which made Raina throw a deep breath while peering back behind the wall.

“I said shit, not see all,” Raina said as she watched some men in black who came out of the room near the balcony and locked the door.

“Ah.. You speak Indonesian,” said Gerard while nodding understand, “Sial!” gerard then after seeing the men walking up to them, frantically they looked around but there was nowhere to hide, Raina tried to open the door of the room behind her but it was locked, and it was too late for them to run down because of their distance and the men were only a few meters away.

“Aaahh.. shit!” raina exclaimed as she pulled Gerard closer and kissed him, Gerard's eyes widened when he got that sudden kiss, Raina's hand now embracing her neck.

“Close your eyes, pretend you're enjoying this kiss!” raina whispered between her kisses, and Gerard immediately closed his eyes and deepened their kiss after seeing the silhouettes of the men's bodies approaching them. Gerard embraces Raina's body closer, and now it is Raina's turn to frown because of Gerard's increasingly intense kiss.

‘Well there's no harm in me enjoying this kiss,’ Raina said inwardly, she began to try to relax by following Gerard's deepening kiss, they dissolved in the kiss for a while and did not realize that the men had gone past them. With a breath of breath they finally let go of their ‘pura-pura’ chirp, some time they just looked at each other awkwardly, until finally Gerard broke the silence.

“It looks like they have gone.”

“Oh yes, you are right, they have left,” Raina said nervously as she turned her back and took a deep breath trying to return to normal without her knowing Gerard had done the same, he had to catch his breath before he left after Raina who was now walking towards the room as the man had come out.
