Daniel took a cold drink from inside his fridge, he really wanted a cold beer this time but no, right now he needs his mind to keep thinking clearly otherwise, he did not know what he could do to the woman who was currently in his guest room.
Kerelyn, after initially refusing, is finally willing to live in her apartment, not without reason to take the red-haired girl to live with her, Simon recalled, her ex-boyfriend knows where she lives and could have gotten into it without anyone's knowledge and risked her life again.
Daniel walked to the balcony and sat on his long swing chair with a soda can in his right hand, his eyes staring at the Hudson River with flickering lights of New York City that never sleeps. The clock has shown at 2 am but he has not been able to close his eyes, how can he sleep when his ears suddenly become very sensitive, he said, his hearing became like Superman who could penetrate the wall so he could hear the sound of a mattress from the guest room every time Kerelyn moved his sleeping position, and immediately his mind wandered to imagine things that were not-nothing.
Daniel again took a deep breath trying to dispel the naughty thoughts while gulping his sodas, he was immediately startled by his mobile phone vibrating in his pants pocket, after seeing Alex's name coming out on the phone screen he picked it up.
“Do you have nothing else to do but contact me at this hour?”
“And have you no other job but to pick up the phone from me, considering that there are sexy women staying at your place? Oh let me guess, did you just finish taking a cold shower?”
“Shut up!” Daniel cried with a laugh that made Alex laugh because his guess was right.
“What's wrong with you, Dylan and Theo. Why don't you guys just do it instead of taking a cold shower every night?”
Daniel snorted at Alex's question, “You will feel after you meet the right woman because at that time all you want to do is guard and protect her and you will survive not to touch her until the moment she becomes yours.”
“And you think you've found the right woman?”
Daniel is speechless thinking about Alex's question, has he really fallen in love with Karelyn? Is she the right woman for him? Daniel furrowed his brows trying to understand the meaning of his feelings for the girl.
“Now, I don't know, A! I like it, I really like it.”
“And just an abnormal guy who doesn't like it.”
“Yes you are right, only the abnormal ones don't like it.”
“But... do you love him?”
Daniel looked desperate, he stood up and his elbows he piled on the balcony, “Stop.... Do you think I love him?”.
“Oh yes..you are in love at this time.”
“Dan darman you know?”
“Come on, D, you're like Dylan and Theo who will kill anyone who dares to look at Em and Calista, even Theo.. isn't that so silly?”
“Like you're gonna shoot anyone who gets close to Lexi?”
“Hei! It's not the same!” Alex's protest made Daniel smile.
“What's different?”
“It... it was obviously different just the attention of an older brother towards his younger brother, as you and Gerard would do.”
Daniel again snorted at Alex's reply.
“But me and Gerard won't threaten them with guns.”
“Because you guys don't have guns, and only I have them.. hey, we're talking about you and Kerelyn not me!”.
Daniel again took a deep breath, his right hand shaking the nearly exhausted soda can before he finally gulped it down to the toilet.
“So tell me, am I in love? Yes other than about killing anyone who dares to eat it, because even we will all do that to anyone who dares to approach the twins.”
“Listen, the only one who can answer that is you yourself because you know what you are feeling for him, so for this one I can not answer for sure.”
Daniel exhaled a long breath he leaned his head on the back of the swing chair, his head wanted to deny everything he felt but it seemed useless because his feelings were much stronger at this time so that all the logic of disputation he prepared could be broken easily.
“Aaahh... Damn, I didn't know that falling in love would be troublesome like this,” she said as she ruffled her hair, and instantly she could hear Alex's happy-sounding laughter surpassing her.
“Stop laughing like that! Did you call me in the middle of the night like this just to laugh at me? If so, I'll close it now.”
“Wait first! Believe me this is just a bonus for me. but there is something more important at the moment.”.
Daniel could hear the tone of his best friend's voice that turned serious, and made him sit up straight.
“What's up?”
Daniel gasped at Alex's words, he now looked serious.
“Explain to me.”
“I heard it in The Rock, Simon ordered his men to watch over Kerelyn before the girl told anyone else, and unfortunately I don't know what Kerelyn knows, but I'm guessing this is related to a location.”
“Location?”
Daniel heard Alex breathing heavily before answering his question.
“I shouldn't have told you about this but, for now we need your help, so I'll explain it to you... Simon is suspected of having a heroin manufacturing site in New York.”
“Sial!”
“And it should be my duty to search for that location, so I disguised myself as a bookie but until now I have not found a bright spot, he has not agreed to show the location of the manufacture of the illicit goods, and it seems Kerelyn unknowingly knows the location? We cannot question him directly because it will only make the baj*ngan suspicious.”
Daniel was silent for a moment thinking that until what Alex said was true then Kerelyn was really in danger because he was the key to the illegal business empire of Simon Javier.
“Alright I will ask him and will tell you if he finds out about it.”
“Good..ah I hope he remembers it so that I can end this disguise. All right, D, I need to sleep now and you better get some sleep, tomorrow you'll need some extra energy to protect your lover.”
“Yeah you're right, I'll call you tomorrow.”
Daniel hangs up his phone, he stands up and then walks into his apartment, he passes through a room decorated with a brown sofa and a 42’ LED TV attached to the front wall of the sofa, while the other wall is like the man's personal wall of frame, which is filled with photos of his work while traveling the world.
Now standing at the door of her living room where Kerelyn was sleeping tonight, she stared at the door for a while before finally entering her room right next to the guest room.
After a few minutes of lying in bed, Daniel was finally able to fall asleep and just woke up when the clock was 9am, he had contacted his office and asked for leave for the next few days. He did not want events like those that befell his twin sister and he was not beside them to repeat, therefore this time he will always keep an eye on Kerelyn as long as the girl is in danger.
Daniel came out of his room still with messy hair and wearing only his white training pants and white t-shirt, he walked towards the kitchen where the smell of coffee immediately made him smile.
“Good morning,” he said still with a hoarse voice that made Kerelyn turn her body from the stove where she was making pancakes for breakfast, his eyes were wide open to see the scenery that had only existed in his imagination and this exceeded his wildest fantasies though, Daniel looked very sexy with messy hair, eyes that were still a little sleepy, and even his wildest fantasies, Daniel looked very sexy with messy hair, a sexy voice and a sweet smile bloomed that greeted him.
Kerelyn was still staring at him unblinkingly as Daniel crossed the black mahogany dining table, then dyed it briefly.
“Did you deliberately make a charred pancake, Sweetheart?” seductive Daniel with a slanted smile that made Kerelyn re-conscious.
“Yes Lord!” He immediately lifted the pan cake that had looked blackened, then put it on a plate.
“Our breakfast seems to fail,” he said lethargic while staring at the pile of pan cake arranged on the plate, Daniel put his chin on Kerelyn's shoulder and his eyes also stared at the food that was mostly burnt.
“How did you know that I really like pancakes?” the question made Kerelyn laugh at once, and it was unexpected that Daniel kissed her cheek before the man left her casually for the coffee machine, then filling his cup with the caffeinated beverage which was still hot left Kerelyn who was still calming his racing heart due to the man's simple act earlier.
“Do you want coffee?” Daniel asked while taking another cup.
“I-iya, I really need coffee at this time,”, Kerelyn said as she walked to the dinner table that made Daniel secretly smile because he understood why the red-haired girl needed caffeine so much at this time.
Daniel brought two cups of their coffee and sat down in front of Kerelyn who this morning had looked relaxed with skinny jeans wrapped in her legs and a red T-shirt with the logo of one of the famous brands decorate the middle.
“What are your plans today?” daniel asked as he sat back down with his coffee in his hand.
“Today I will be shooting the last episode of the FBI this season.”
Daniel nodded while enjoying his thick coffee, “Have you told Eddy about the bodyguard?”
Kerelyn shook her head, “Not yet, her plan today I will talk about this matter with her.”
Daniel walked back to the kitchen table and brought Kerelyn's pancakes, “You better not delay any more,” said Daniel while moving 2 pancakes on a smaller plate and then watering them with rastbery syrup then started eating them which made Kerelyn frown imagining the taste.
“We cannot underestimate your ex-lover,” he said with a full mouth then swallowed his breakfast before continuing, “Alex has told me he is very dangerous, so we must be very careful.”
Fear again attacked Kerelyn, he knew very well and had felt how dangerous a Simon Javier, three ribs and a broken nose, the bleeding inside his head, his eyes almost blinded, and his eyes were blind, and he had to undergo a series of surgeries and stay in the hospital for weeks, not to mention the trauma that made him have to undergo regular counseling with a psychiatrist.
Daniel realized the fear that the girl before him felt, he clasped Kerelyn's hand which immediately jumped in fear, it took him some time to realize that what was now pulling his hand to hold was the black-eyed man who was looking at him gently, the man who had saved him, the man who had protected him last night, the man she loves can now smile again when she realizes that Daniel Winchester is the guardian angel, not Simon Javier the devil.
