Chapter 14
“Well.. well.. please see who I meet now?” The cold gray-eyed man walked over to the frozen Kerelyn, realizing the girl's fear Daniel was increasingly pulling her into the embrace of trying to provide protection.“Aah.. You're still as beautiful as you used to be, Baby Red.”
Kerelyn's eyes widened, her breathing choked when she heard the usual call the man had pinned on her first. The man he knew as Simon Javier, a former lover and was the one who had beaten him to death almost three years ago.
Simon looked at them in full search, his eyes judging Daniel from top to bottom like a fighter judging his co-star, “So this guy is your lover?” He asked while looking at Daniel in contempt.
“Yes, that's right,” Daniel replied as he looked at Simon no less sharply, he could see some of the men had descended from the van that stopped behind his black Mercy car, and now it has been staring at them on standby. Damn, he hopes his friends will come out of The Rock and help him in case there should be a fight.
“Do I know you?” Simon asked curiously after noticing Daniel Daritadi's face, it was like he knew the black-eyed man. His brows furrowed trying to remember, his eyes were sharp probing but suddenly his eyes widened and looked at Daniel with hatred.
“You... You, baj* it!” His growl while pointing at Daniel with anger, which made Kerelyn retreat because of the increasing fear, his almost buried memories now burst to the surface when he heard the man again shouting before him as he had in the past as he became the man's lifeline.
“Aaah... Finally you recognize me,” said Daniel casually with a slanted smile, for now he must remain calm or something bad will happen to him and also Kerelyn, for the time being, recalling the angel-faced but devil-hearted man had a few men who looked increasingly alert after hearing the growl from their boss.
Simon was silent at Daniel's calmness, but he could see the fear on Kerelyn's increasingly pale face, his demonic smile again adorning his face, “You are indeed a cunning ja*a*g woman, you are a, you are dating b*j*ng*n who has put me in jail.”
“Don't call him that, or this time not just roll your broken ribs but your hands and legs, so you'll look like a doll!” Daniel growled right in front of Simon's face, his eyes in disbelief, the black-eyed man dared to threaten him in front of his men who now looked very angry.
“Before that happens, you're already in the grave!” simon said with angry eyes.
“Yeah, of course maybe you forgot who ended up in the Hospital with severe injuries at the time of our last fight.”
“You!”
Seeing the increasingly heated situation made Kerelyn pull Daniel, the current conditions are very unlikely for the man to win considering that the current Simon's men are ready to fight.
“Daniel, enough..we'd better go now!” kerelyn said with a voice trembling with fear.
“You think you can just leave after threatening me?” Simon said mockingly, “No, Baby Red, I'll teach your lover this manners first after that we'll go on a date. Believe me I miss you so much, dear.”
Simon looked at Kerelyn while blinking one eye that made Kerelyn turn even more pale, his body trembling with the coldness that began to run through his body to seep into the bone, his hand gripped Daniel's arm so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
“Sial! You run inside and stay there with Lexi, ask Alex and Gerard for help to get here as soon as possible.” Daniel interduces while walking backwards with Kerelyn behind his back after seeing Simon gesture to his men who just go forward in unison.
“Kerelyn, you heard!” Daniel exclaimed after feeling the girl was not moving.
“I-iya,” Kerelyn said nervously after regaining consciousness from her fear that made her freeze.
“Now!”
“Quick Kerelyn, fast!” he gave orders to himself, The Rock located 2 blocks from the parking lot made him have to run with all his energy and he could hear his pursuers were getting closer.
“Yes God, help me!” kerelyn muttered as she continued to run and instantly saw the pile of soda boxes that were being stacked by a young man on a trolley, with the rest of his strength he ran faster towards the trolley then pushed him with all his might towards his pursuers until the pile of boxes fell down, it was seen soda water immediately gushed from some of its broken cans and blocked the pursuers.
“HEI!” The young man protested after seeing what Kerelyn had done to his goods.
“I'm sorry.. I'll pay for it later!” Kerelyn shouted as she continued her run.
The incident made his distance with Simon become quite far but that did not make him slow down his run, he just stayed running until the end of the road and then turn right but unfortunately why now it feels so far away. His eyes sparkled and started to increase his speed after seeing the bar where his friends were.
He entered the bar without stopping his running, and almost hit a burly man who was about to come out of it, not caring about the man's actions he continued to walk quickly into the bar that felt more crowded, and finally felt relieved when he saw his four friends were still there.
“Kerelyn, what happened? Where's Daniel?” Alex asked after seeing that something was wrong when he saw the girl coming back alone with a gasp of breath and her face paled.
“Please... Daniel... Simon.... his men,” said Kerelyn with breathless, his head filled with anxiety about Daniel's fate so that he could not string the word correctly, fortunately, Daniel had a clever friend who understood the meaning of his words.
“Sial! Where are they?” Gerard asked while standing, as well as Alex who immediately pulled out his mobile phone and asked the police for help.
“Parking space,” Kerelyn replied while pointing outwards and it was at that moment that he saw Simon and some of his men entering The Rock, seeing Kerelyn suddenly sculpting made the four of them stare towards the door where it was seen that some people were combing the entire place with their sharp eyes.
“Sial!” Alex who recognized who the man who had just entered directly pulled Kerelyn, then pressed his shoulder to sit behind her, “Cover her!” Alex gives orders to Alexa and Raina who immediately sit back and cover Kerelyn's body bent with a jacket belonging to Gerard who is there.
“G, you go now to help Daniel, I'll tackle baj* it's here,” whispered Alex gave the order, I'll take care of it, his eyes were never separated from the movements of Simon and his men who had now spread in search of Kerelyn.
Alex is under a disguise that certainly should not be uncovered at this time or the results of his disguise will be in vain, Gerard can understand that even though he really wants to help Daniel but he can't do it so he will leave Daniel's business to Gerard and the others. Gerard nodded in understanding and without asking he began to walk quickly towards the outside. Alex was eye-to-eye with Simon looking surprised to see him at the spot, not wanting the man to approach his desk where Kerelyn was hiding, so he decided he would approach her first and keep them all away from there.
“Shut up here, I'll keep them away from here.”
Alexa obediently nodded, “If there was anything I would shout for Max's help,” he said while looking for the whereabouts of the former soldier's bar owner, and he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the man behind his bar table talking to one of the visitors. Alex nodded before he finally walked up to Simon who was smiling to see him.
“Rain, can you..” Alexa speech was cut off when staring at the chair that was sitting on her cousin was empty.
“Oh, shit! Raina... Just look I will report this matter to Mom, and you will be in law!” Alexa grumbled after realizing where her cousin was going.
