Chapter 15
Gerard ran towards the parking lot, he had not been exercising for a long time so he felt a little difficulty when having to run a decent distance according to him. He prayed that it was not too late even though he knew Daniel could be said ‘bisa’ fight but not a reliable fighter let alone have to fight several people at once.
“Why are you so slow! Come fast!” Shouted a black-haired woman who ran ahead of him.
“OOH.. Shit, what is he doing!”
Gerard sped up to catch Raina running in front of him, they had reached the parking lot and as he had imagined Daniel was a little overwhelmed to face some of Simon's men.
“Hei! What did you do to my brother!” Raina yelled to attract the attention of some people who were about to attack Daniel.
Without waiting any longer he ran back towards Daniel who looked messy and breathless because he had to face five people at once. One of them who was black was seen ridiculing the yellow-skinned girl who was looking at him sharply. But his judgment had to be changed when, with just a few seconds, he slammed the man, who was now lying with his eyes wide, confused as to why he was lying there? Not only the black man who looks confused, everyone looks gaping in disbelief that the girl with a weight of only 52kg can slam the man with twice his weight.
“Wow.. Are you Karate Girl?” Gerard asked with astonished eyes looking at Raina who was now preparing to face two men at once.
“Silat not Karate!” Raina shouted while fending off the punch with her left hand then turned and her right hand elbowed the mouth of the long-haired man's heart until he bent down and with all his strength hit the man's neck until he fell down on the top concrete parking.
“Awas, behind you!” Gerard screamed a reminder when he saw a man swinging a baseball bat at Raina who immediately dodged and kicked the man with all his might, and still using his feet he hit the man's nape like his partner was immediately unconscious.
Daniel himself looks back on the fight to help Raina who is fighting with black men who have risen again.
“Left side!... Behind you!. Not behind you, D! Behind Rain!.. Kick her! Goody! D, down! Aww, that must have hurt a lot.. Banting him, Rain!”
“Hey, can you shut up and help us!” Raina shouted, who was holding the black man with her embrace. Pressing his nape and his hands twisted backwards, made the man take out an oath of absorbency like a true raper.
“Oh. yes, you are right.” Gerard had just arrested the man Daniel had dropped when police sirens sounded.
“You heard that! Help is here!” Gerard cried happily.
“It's time,” Daniel said as he sat breathlessly watching three men two of whom had been knocked unconscious by his cousin with his deadly kicks and punches, while he himself managed to make one person faint.. huh that's normal?
“Is Kerelyn okay?” Daniel asked with a worried tone.
“Not to worry, he's in a safe place. Alex won't let anything happen to him, and Max.he won't let anything happen in his place.”.
Daniel nodded and could feel a little calm after hearing the words of Gerard who had now handed his prisoner to the police who just handcuffed and led them up to the police car.
“And you Rain, why are you here?” Daniel looked at Raina fiercely.
“You forgot? I helped earlier.”
“Hmm.. You were right.. Thank you for helping me.”.
“Hei! I helped you too!”
“Yeah, of course, G,” Daniel said standing up and embracing his cousin's shoulder and starting walking towards The Rock.
“Your friend proved that there is no perfect human being,” said Raina using Indonesian language that directly makes Daniel laugh.
“You have to see his greatness in front of the computer,” said Daniel trying to defend his friend who was the least able to fight between the three of them.
“I know, he even said that hacking the Pentagon was easier than facing me.”
“He said it?” Daniel asked in disbelief, then laughed when he saw Raina nod her head.
“What are you laughing at?” Gerard who was walking beside them was curious about what their laughingstock was.
“What? What happened?” Gerard asked curiously, but unfortunately again he ignored both.
“If Mamah had known, she would have threatened him to marry me.”
Daniel is now laughing louder, “You are in big trouble, Man,” Daniel said as he looked at Gerard with concerned eyes.
“What problems?... D, what are you talking about! Man, tell me, what's the problem?” Daniel just laughed as he continued walking leaving Gerard who shouted asking questions because he was curious about the problems he faced.
Kerelyn rushed straight towards Daniel when she saw the three of them entering the bar, seeing that Daniel smiled trying to show that he was fine.
“Are you hurt?” Kerelyn asked in an anxious tone.
“No, I'm fine.” Daniel now looked at Alex standing beside Kerelyn then asked, “Did you catch b*j*ng*n that?”
“No, I can't catch him right now,” Alex replied regretfully which made Daniel swear.
“Can't the police arrest him for assault?”
“D, he has a strong alibi, he was here earlier and even if you gave a testimony I'm sure his men would have said something else. But don't worry, I'm currently gathering evidence that could land him in prison for life.”
Daniel nodded in understanding with what his police friend said, “Alright, tell me if you need any help to make b*j*ng*n it languish in prison.”
“Alright, but for now all you have to do is focus on protecting her,” Alex said as she looked at Karelyn who had returned in Daniel's embrace, “Because I'm sure she'll be back for him.”
Daniel nodded as he embraced, “Alright, we should go home now.”
“I'm sorry, but at this time you can't go home first. You have to testify about the attack,” said Alex regretfully and inevitably had to do Daniel even with a heavy heart, because he was very tired and wanted to immediately soak in hot water.
It had been more than midnight when Kerelyn and Daniel reached their apartment building after coming home from the NYPD office to testify, and considering Kerelyn was a framed public, Alex took her in through the back door and straight to her office.
“Alright, you should immediately rest,” said Daniel when he arrived at the door of Kerelyn's apartment who nodded with a bland smile.
“Thank you for helping me, I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't been.”
Daniel smiled at Kerelyn's words, his black eyes staring at the girl gently, “Everybody would do the same, he said, but Kerelyn it's time you told Eddy about the matter and asked him to set up some bodyguards for you.”
Kerelyn nodded, “You're right, I thought she had forgotten me but saw her reaction earlier.” Kerelyn shuddered considering how the man who had ruined her life was looking at her intently.
“Hey, Sweetheart, everything will be fine I will protect you,” Daniel said as he pulled Kerelyn into his soothing embrace.
“Do you see how he looked at me? It remembers me to the incident three years ago when he almost killed me.” Kerelyn's voice trembled with fear that Daniel could feel, his heart was immediately overwhelmed with anger when he learned ******* it had given the trauma it had exposed to the woman he loved.
“Sttt... don't think about it again, it won't happen or I swear I'll kill him this time.”
Kerelyn smiled in Daniel's warm embrace, feeling safe and at ease knowing that Daniel was the real man who would hold his words, he'll be safe as long as there's that guy by his side even if Simon comes here, she'll be fine knowing Daniel is next to her apartment that will come right away when she hears something strange. But what if the baj*ngan came at night while he was sleeping? Suddenly fear re-entered his body.
“Do you think he won't come here? You know he could have come here considering he knows where I live,” Kerelyn said as she looked at Daniel with anxious and fearful eyes mixed into one.
Daniel was made aware of the current condition in which Kerelyn did not yet have a bodyguard who would protect her for 24 hours, but he himself could not do that, considering he had to work and even though their apartment was next to him he could not know what was happening to his neighbor. Daniel was silent for a while until he finally made a big decision.
“Kerelyn, starting tonight we will stay together.”
