“Have you guys had dinner? I'm so hungry,” Alexa said as she took the potato chips in front of her.
“I'm also very hungry,” Raina said as she leaned limply over the sofa.
“How about Chinese food? I saw there is a Chinese restaurant that just opened not far from here, and they are holding a promo,”, said Gerard who immediately got approval from everyone.
“We have the heir to the Royal group and also Regan here, an IT expert who is paid thousands of dollars, a top artist and a famous producer but we are still looking for promo food,” said Alexa who was greeted by laughter all.
They used to live a simple life until they did not realize that they could actually eat at a five-star restaurant every day, but they prefer food on the fifth leg although at times they also enjoy high-end facilities, because they all have the real principle of wealth is not how much money is in the account or how much life they live, but real wealth is what is in the heart and what they have done to help others.
“Alright then, I will go to buy our dinner,” Gerard said standing up.
“Gerard, can I come with you?” Raina asked with sparkling eyes.
“Yes, of course,” replied Gerard who made Raina immediately stand up and prepare to leave.
“Hey, Superman, take care of my cousin,” Alexa said, which made Gerard furrow his eyebrows.
“Why does he always call me Superman?” gerard asked confusedly.
“It is not necessary to listen, come on everyone is hungry,” Raina replied while pushing Gerard's tall body out of the apartment.
“Trust me, Lexa, if anything happens, Rain will protect Gerard instead of the other way around,” Daniel said with a laugh.
The Chinese restaurant Gerad was talking about was only a block away from the messar's apartment building so the two of them decided to walk away, the cold night air providing a soothing coolness to Raina, during his time in New York he had not had time to explore the city so the opportunity as it is now out and enjoy the night of the bustling New York City became his own experience, for him, not to mention being accompanied by a man who had stolen his attention from the start. The restaurant looks quite crowded, maybe because it has just opened makes people curious about the taste and menu on offer. They chose to sit in one of the available chairs while waiting for their order to jam.
“Gerard, what are you doing here?” A long-haired dark brown girl with minus glasses adorning her smiling bright face looked at Gerard who looked surprised to see the girl Raina thought was not beautiful just attractive enough and looked smart, that's just a point no more.
“Sarah, what are you doing in sisni?” Gerard asked back while hugging her, making Raina raise her eyebrows.
“Well, I was having dinner with my colleagues when I saw you enter earlier,” replied the woman who turned out to be Sarah, he now sat down to join them without permission making Raina now furrow her brows,
”Hey, no one invited you to sit!” protest in the heart.
“So what are you doing here?” sarah repeated, turning her back to Raina as if no one was there.
“We're ordering dinner,” replied Gerard as he sniffled.
“We?” Sarah raised her eyebrows looking confused.
“Yes, Sarah introduce this Raina,” said Gerard while staring at Raina who looks pouty.
“Oh, hi, I'm sorry, I didn't see you earlier,” said sarah after turning her back and seeing a black haired girl staring at her.
“Yeah, of course,” replied Raina with a smile that was very visible forced, “Why me this invisible astral creature, the,” continued Raina by using the Indonesian language that makes Sarah and Gerard just look at him confused.
“Forget it, please continue your conversation,” Raina said with a smile, he then poured the tea in a ceramic teapot available on their table into a very small cup that could be used up in just one gulp.
“What is she your lover?” sarah asked as she looked at Gerard curiously.
“Yeah, of course only a cousin of a friend,” said Raina in Indonesian while returning to pour tea and immediately drink until it runs out.
“Do I bother you?” Sarah kemabli asked after seeing Raina who looked disturbed by his arrival.
“No, not at all,” Gerard replied with a smile, he looked back at Raina who for the umpteenth time poured tea into her cup and instantly finished it, he furrowed his brows at the black haired girl's behavior, “Is she so thirsty? Or does he really like this tea?” gerard asked inwardly while furrowing his eye brows.
Gerard continues his conversation with Sarah, occasionally turning his gaze to Raina who again drank her tea with enthusiasm, if it was alcoholic drinks Gerard believes the girl has now fallen unconscious from drunkenness. And finally their order was jams along with the end of the tea in the teapot on their table.
“Alright, it looks like I have to go now, nice to see you again, Sarah,” Gerard said as he stood up after Raina had walked in first leaving her alone with Sarah.
“Iya, nice to see you again.”
Gerard just turned his body around when Sarah called him back, “Gerard, can I call you next time?”
Gerard was silent for a while before he finally nodded with a smile, “Iya, of course,” replied him which made the girl before him smile happily.
Raina stood outside the restaurant with plastic food, tapping her toes on the asphalt, inexplicably feeling unsettled. He knew he liked Gerard, he realized it from the first moment he saw the man at the airport with a board that read his name.
Gerard is a man with his own charm, in addition to his good looks, his intelligence becomes more value for the glasses man and Raina is very fond of smart men. He should have realized, not only would he be interested in such a man, as Sarah was, a woman who is well if you want to be honest is beautiful and graceful inversely proportional to her who seems tomboy by liking adrenaline-pumping activities unlike women in general.
“Let's go now,” said Gerard who had stood before him while taking plastic from Raina's hands.
All the way home they just fell silent and Gerard felt a little strange seeing the change of the girl who walked next to him who usually never wanted to stay still, was it possible that his stomach was bloated from drinking too much tea? Gerard asked in his heart.
“Are you okay?” Gerard asked because he could no longer stand the silence between them.
“Iya, I'm fine,” Raina replied briefly, “So tell me, is Sarah your former lover?” Raina asked after a moment of silence that made Gerard look at her while raising his eyebrows.
“Not, he was my college friend first,” replied Gerard with a smile, “We have never met again since graduating college.”
Raina was silent to listen to Gerard's story that did not get there, she also told how smart Sarah was when she was a student, even they are both famous as a couple of geniuses and many hope that they are dating.
“So why aren't you guys dating? You seem to like Sarah a lot and I'm sure she does too,” Raina said after listening to Gerard's story she could conclude that the man beside her had harbored feelings for her friend.
“So, I don't know,” replied Gerard looking confused, in his heart he also asked the same question why he's not dating Sarah?
She is the perfect girl for him who can compensate him in terms of intelligence, they have a lot in common and habits but why did she never ask Sarah to be his lover? Everyone even knows that Sarah liked her a long time ago, and so does she.
“Maybe later I will call her and ask her to date me, I hope it is not too late now,” said Gerard who made Raina speechless and smile even though his heart felt tight.
At this time they were in front of the twins apartment and a warm welcome was received by the two of them, again Raina tried to be as normal as possible, she laughs and chatters as they enjoy her dinner but Daniel and Alexa know something is wrong with their cousin, and their guess is proven when Gerard tells a quiet story of his encounter with Sarah and his intention to ask her out on a date.
As best friends of course Daniel and Alex know who Sarah really is, she is Gerard in the female figure, the two of them also really liked Sarah as a friend and they also knew that the two had liked each other a long time ago, so although this is painful for his cousin but Daniel must support his best friend who finally has the courage to ask Sarah out on a date.
