Carried Currents

After bathing Leon Adry went to see the Doctor while Raina fed Leon with the food that Adry had brought earlier. Afterwards, the man returned to Leon's room.

"Om I actually want to come home, it's quiet here at night" Leon said.

"Prophey, you've got a heart donor and the operation will be in two days. Tomorrow you'll have your health checked in its entirety before you have that surgery."

Adry then stood near them holding Leon's chin.

"You want to run around with your mom, right? Want to keep her company until your mom's old and gone?" Leon nodded his head. Leon releases his embrace of Raina and takes turns hugging Adry tightly.

Adry rubbed his tears that had already come out his lips moved to say that he was Leon's father but Raina shook her head.

"That was Om's wish from the beginning right?" Adry rubbed Leon's wet cheeks with both hands.

During the trip Raina and Adry just fell silent. No one opens their voice or says anything.

Two hours later Adry and Raina have reached their apartment. Raina is in the kitchen cooking for their dinner. Adry had no idea what he was doing in his room.

A video call from Jonathan's cell phone is heard. Raina then turns on the speaker and raises the volume of her phone to make it easier for her to answer without having to hold the phone.

"Hi, Jo," said Raina.

"Hi too, beautiful, what are you doing?"

"Cooking," Raina replied.

"Cooking? Are you good at cooking?" sounding strange from across.

"Didn't you like to just eat, especially eating Mang Udin's meatballs at school. You like to take my big meatballs and eat them" Jonathan recalled their custom.

Raina laughs. "You remember that."
