Not Assuming

"Please promise me you'll put this baby's safety first over mine" Raina said before they went through the operation.

"I can't promise you this, but I'll keep you and this baby safe."

"If things happen that we didn't expect?"

"Nothing's gonna happen you and our baby are gonna be okay."

Adry held Ariana's hand and kissed her. "I won't let anything bad happen to you. You're the one who's gonna promise to always be by my side."

"Then what about your family?" ask Raina.

"I have severed my relationship with Nita and was filing a divorce papers but it turns out that Nita had done it first" Adry explained, leaving Raina stunned.

"Mother, I've cut ties with her. I still consider her a mother because she was the one who gave birth to me. However, I want to go as far away from her as possible with you and the children we have.

"Can you do it? What about Leon?"

"I'll do whatever we come from together. Not because I'm going to be an ungodly child but this is all for our good especially you and our child. I don't want them to come near you and put your lives at risk." Adry sounds men. de. legit.

Adry swept the scar of Raina's cry with her thumb. "Don't you dare shed their tears or for me. They don't deserve you to cry and I don't regret what I did. I only regret letting them hurt you and never seeing what they did to you. I hate my mom and Nita. I was also very disappointed with my father for remaining silent about his attitude even though he knew that Mother was guilty of this!"

"But you can't do this Adry, maybe now you're angry but what if one or two or five more years? Are you going to hate me for being a barrier to your relationship and your parents as well as your source of trouble?"

"You don't have to take responsibility for the mistakes they make. You're innocent in this. However, it is their greedy, petty and selfish nature that makes them make mistakes and I hate it. I don't want that cruel thing to happen again to our little family Raina. Do you think I'll let them be a part of me after what they did to you? Never will Raina."

"Don't mind them. I don't want to talk about them anymore. The most important thing is us and our children."

Raina nodded her head. She did not want Adry to hate the Adry family so much but the care to keep her away from her parents kept her heart at ease.

"What about Leon?" ask Raina worriedly.

"He was taken by his grandfather to Germany. Right now we can't do much considering your condition. One thing is for sure, my family will never harm Leon and I can be sure of this. The most important thing is the birth of our child and after you who for all the problems that will arise after we meet with my parents. We can go to them and force Leon to hand us over."

"Can I?" raina asked unconvinced by Adry's words. They are not ordinary people. After all, Adry is now an ordinary person and has not had a regular job because he has left the Quandt family.
