Hana sat alone in the wooden chair looking out the window. In Ayu and Bagus' yard, play with Aaric's youngest son Raina and Rere. They look very happy in this family environment.
He did not expect to be immediately accepted into the Roy family. They welcomed him and the children well. Even Janeta gave the necklace she was using to give to Hana. Where else would he receive such a good family like them?
"You didn't come out, everyone asked you," said Roy, making Hana's daydreams disappear instantly.
"I want to be alone" he answered. Roy sat on the bed facing Hana.
"Why? You're uncomfortable with them?"
"No, it's just that this is all too new for me and I'm not used to it all. I need time to get used to them and mingle with them."
"I understand."
"No you don't understand. They're so nice to me, I just don't feel like I deserve to be around them."
Roy raised both his eyebrows upwards.
"You don't know Raina yet. He's like you even worse. If you were born into a family of being, Raina is just a regular person. Her life is full of twists and turns, I think it would be great if you two were to speak from heart to heart."
"There will be plenty of time" said Hana smiling sweetly.
"Yes, if you decide to marry me there will be plenty of time for you two to talk."
Hana raised her face towards Roy.
"What do you think is marriage?"
"Marriage is not just about love. There is more to it than just love. It’s all about faith, teamwork, and commitment. I know love is important, but no one knows the form of love itself without those three things".
"Love didn't create marriage. A conscious, planned marriage creates love. The same thing happens in a relationship. Sometimes old friendships eventually arise love then why in marriage can not grow love?"
Hana's speechless. Roy took both of Hana's hands and held them tightly.
"At first you're scared when I touch you for a long time. You get used to it when I touch your hand. So too with our relationship. At first we do not know each other, over time because of the habit of arising a sense of comfort that will turn into love. I used to be afraid of marriage but when I met Karina, my late wife, I was more afraid of losing her. So I decided to marry her that day. You know it was a sudden and unplanned wedding. However, I don't regret it because it hasn't been three months since we married her that she passed away. Age no one knows Hana."
Hana shut her mouth. "You must have been hit hard."
"It's so bad that I decided I wouldn't fall in love and get married again. Twice I fell in love and twice the woman I loved died in my arms. It was like a curse upon me."
"I'm so sorry."
"If you're afraid of marriage because of failure, I'm afraid of marrying you myself for fear that you'll be gone forever like my other two lovers."
Hana knitted her two eyebrows together.
"You think I'd die if I married you?"
"Maybe." Roy's face looked desperate and sad when he said that.
Hana laughed out loud. "You are big and terrible, it is inappropriate to say anything beyond reason. They died for a reason not because they were killed by you. Didn't you?"
"Yes, but it all ends that way."
"It was just a coincidence. I asked what was your first love because of?"
"Cancer."
"Then your wife?"
"Fired by someone" Roy replied honestly.
Hana gasped, but her face turned ordinary. "Your fate is so bad it's worth it if you haven't had a family to this day. Fortunately there is me who will hold your seedlings so you have children," said Hana teasingly.
"Yes, so if you don't accept me I'll take it."
"Because you're afraid I'm gonna be your next love victim?"
"Yes, like that," said Roy limp.
Hana laughed again to make Roy wonder.
"What's so funny?"
"You're not fit to be that melancholy. You deserve to look fierce and scary" said Hana.
"Sometimes, often," said hesitating Hana. A smile adorned her full and filled lips.
"It would be better if you smile like this often" Hana said, pulling both corners of Roy's lips upwards.
"You look good if you do."
"Lookin?"
"Yes, I see" said Hana.
"You'll be better looking and younger if you shave your beard and hair."
"Women love both. It'll make a man look macho and fierce."
"I don't like it."
"I won't shave my beard or hair unless you do" Roy said.
"You're getting naughty." Hana started to get up, tidying up her clothes.
"Isn't this good for our relationship going forward? It took a breakthrough to get us close to each other" Roy said.
"I can't cut my hair. I could've made you bald."
"It doesn't matter because it's your work" Roy said. "If anyone asks, I answer my future wife who did it."
"Always do not want to lose and force."
"I'm not forcing you to just give you a solution, you don't like my hair so you can cut it as you want."
"Talking to you makes me so hot. I'm gonna take a shower."
"We haven't done anything yet and you're already sultry?"
"Why do men always think that way?" Hana took the clothes from the closet.
"Because women are a beautiful imagination."
He pulled out a tunic-colored dress.
"Don't that, your face will not look bright" Roy said.
Hana puts it in again and Roy again bans it.
"If you won't let me wear it all, why did you buy it for me!"
"Hyun who chose not me." Roy got up and he chose a white dress with a thin belt on his waist.
"It'll be pretty if you use it. Wear a red interior that will make it look good. Although it doesn't look straight but I like it."
Hana's eyes patterned beautifully so that her long, plump eyelashes moved like waves. "You're starting to organize my inner workings too."
"It's just advice."
"I'm out there, I'm gonna take a shower."
"Do you want to help me too?" Hannah wanted to say something. "I mean help fill up the tub and put a therapeutic scent into it."
"No, I can do it myself." Hana then pushes Roy's body out of the room.
"If you stay here, I won't take a shower. You take care of Ayu and it's good to take an afternoon shower."
"Well, Mrs Quandt's candidate." Roy turns his body around and leaves, but Hana calls him back.
"Why? You changed your mind about helping me take a shower?"
"Ish take those thoughts out of your brain. I just wanted to say something."
"What?" Roy leaned against the wall of the door.
"Death is God's destiny, Mr. Roy. But I'm sure they must be happy to die in your arms" Hana said.
