Second Chance

Adry wanted to step inside but her footsteps stopped remembering how Raina suffered when Rere was pregnant. Just now her mother felt a little bit of pain and she already wanted to give up instead of improving herself.

He wanted to see a few more days ahead. Whether her mother could see the sincerity of Raina's attitude. He wanted to give his mother one more chance to improve. Not because of it but because she knew Raina was worthy to be part of the Quandt family. She wants Raina to be fully accepted into the family.

He then turned around, heading to the treatment room where Roy was being treated. However, before that he had to talk to the doctor to see the health development of Roy and his mother, Janeta. He had previously contacted the doctor for an appointment.

Adry then went into the doctor's office.

"Please Mr. Adry" said the doctor. Adry sat down at the desk facing the doctor.

"How's my brother Roy doing?" ask Adry.

"The condition is recovering quickly. He seemed to be undergoing the treatment with a calm and happy heart so it sped up his recovery."

Adry smile. The estimate is correct. Karina brings a positive aura to Roy. He's happy.

"Then how is my mother?" ask Adry.

The doctor breathed a long breath. Put both hands on the table and put them together. Looking at Adry's face.

"The conditions continue to deteriorate. His mind seems a little disturbed. Her psychically depressed makes her irritable and we are often overwhelmed by her behavior."

"He needs a lot of support. Otherwise the condition will be worse than before."

Adry's chest feels tight. Raina says her mother needs a lot of attention.

"As his son you must participate in his healing" the doctor added.

Adry smiled wryly then nodded his head. The doctor then gave advice and many messages to Adry and explained about the disease in his mother's suffering. Adry explained carefully what the doctor said.

"Well, I'll listen to all the doctors' advice. Thanks for the time. Excuse me first" Adry said goodbye to the doctor.

After that, Adry went to Roy's room. There he found Roy who had just returned to the streets out of the room in a wheelchair. Karina pushed him.

"Sister, are you here?" asked Roy enthusiastically. Adry nodded.

"It's been a while?"

"No, I just got out of the doctor's office. The doctor said you could get out of this hospital tomorrow. We can go back to the island."

"Then what about Mom?" ask Roy.

"Mother, she hasn't recovered properly. He suffered a stroke, part of his limbs were paralyzed." Adry said it in a limp tone. Deep down, she was worried about her mother.

"Mom needs you, sister. Meet her. The stone will be destroyed if it is often in the water as well as the heart of the mother."

"The stone will be destroyed quickly if it is destroyed by hard objects as well" Adry added, making Roy laugh.

"Yes, I've always lost to you" said Roy.

Adry laughed. Karina just kept quiet listening to Big Brother's talk and cool that he was more focused on thinking about his own problems.

After a long talk, Adry decided to return home. He'll come tomorrow to pick up Roy.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow. Karina I need you to clean up Roy's stuff. "

"Well, sir," said Karina.

"Call Brother only. We've considered you as our own family."

"Thank you, Brother." Karina smiled glanced at Roy.

"You're going to the island too, right?" ask Adry.

"You're leaving tomorrow?" roy was surprised.

"Yes, my mom needs me too. Besides I have to fulfill the call from the authorities."

"Official authorities!" reset Adry.

"Yes, so my father was a fugitive from a major corruption case all those years we didn't stay put because Dad was afraid of getting caught. Not because of the treasure but the existence of the father in that case only made a scapegoat by the person concerned. They are the ones in power in this country. If we fight back, we could be killed like one of the witnesses who wants to tell the truth."

"That means it's a serious problem?"

Karina nodded her head. Roy breathed out hard. It was very difficult for him to see Karina leave. However, he could not prevent it. He has no power because they have no more relationship.

"Can I do it?"

"Oh, yes about your return I'll book you a plane ticket back to Jakarta." Karina nodded her head.

Karina then went back into the room after Adry left.

"You guys are so long? What's talking about?" ask Roy.

"Hmm speaking of you," Karina answered helping Roy get on the bed and helping him lie down. The man can do it himself but he wants to be spoiled with Karina. Karina Roy cannot do anything without her help.

"You're really going back to Jakarta tomorrow?" ask Roy. Karina nodded.

"Did you leave me alone?" said again.

"If you don't have the heart, I have to." Karina started to tidy up her belongings.

"Aren't you going to miss me?" roy asked moving his eyebrows upwards. Karina held back her smile and looked up at Roy.

"Are you going to miss me too if I leave?" flip Karina.
