The True Test

"Don't expect. If you want to make me emotional, you better get out of here before I forcefully throw out" Adry threatened with emotion.

"You see he's so possessive that he means he cares about you so much."

Adry snorted annoyedly at Jonathan's words. He then looked towards Raina who was giggling.

"So how are you going to marry the landlord's son?"

"Yes, otherwise my father and mother would have gotten me out of the house and blacklisted my name at any company "

"It was cruel coercion" Raina said.

"That's necessary so that you're insyaf from playing with women" Adry cuek said.

"I've never played a woman" Jonathan said.

"Because you feel like you're playing with them and you feel like the relationship is just a pleasure. I was also once young like you, Jo" said Adry. Jonathan was slapped by Adry's statement.

"Are you going to let your wife come to my wedding this time, right?"

"I don't promise" Adry said.

"Damn it!" Jonatan.

If you need anything, I'll give you whatever you want" Jonathan said before Adry threw a drink in his hand at the face of the man who had been his rival.

"Adry, I'm tired and sleepy" Raina said after finishing her meal.

"Say!" raina said prepared to listen to what Adry said. It seems like a serious problem because Adry's face looks tense.

"Mother repeatedly gave me messages that I would take you to family dinner.

Raina's body was squeezing hearing that. He guessed that sooner or later this time he would definitely meet. He should be able to restrain himself from conveying his baldness. Adry has sacrificed enough and showed his attitude to Raina. Now the real test will happen. Whether after meeting his family, the man will still believe in him or he will change. "Lies if I say no doubt. I'm afraid even to get out of the apartment I'm so scared." Raina looked at Adry with her own eyes. "I really don't like being this kind of person. I have changed from the old Raina. I am more careful in my attitude and decisions. I don't want to repeat the same mistake. I turned into a strong and hard woman in order to survive. Adry saw the pain and sadness in Raina's eyes. He couldn't bear to not embrace her.

"Be the old Raina, let me be the shield that will protect you at all times. Tell me everything you feel and tell me what you want."

Adry held onto Raina's empty fingers. "Replace our wedding rings" he asked in a raucous voice.

"Let them know if we've been together again. I want to make them understand that you are my wife and will always have my support."

Raina's tears burst and her chest ached. Adry took the ring out of his pocket, a Raina wedding ring that the woman had been keeping in her bag. Adry understands that the woman has been disappointed by her marriage and is reluctant to wear it back. To that end, she wanted Raina to wear it as a sign that she agreed with this decision.

Adry did not put the ring on Raina's finger just put it on the woman's palm.

"I..," Raina lowered her head to hold the ring. "Your family?"

"Sstt, I know if this won't be easy for us. But I want to gain your trust first before moving forward. I want us to re-knit happiness together until the end of the breath. After that, we will solve all the problems together so that the past does not create obstacles in the future."

Raina rubbed her wet cheek. She saw sincerity in Adry's eyes for her. "Then put it on for me again and don't let me down for the third time."

Adry's eyes widened and shone. She did not expect Raina to accept her request so quickly. He hugged the tiny body ignoring the people who were looking towards them.

"I promise to be a better husband and father now and in the future. Trying hard to never let you down again."

Adry took off her arms and took her wedding ring and with trembling hands she held Raina's hand. He was like doing this for the first time and a steadiness now felt. It was a lot different when she pinned it first when they got married.

Adry inserted the ring into Raina's ring finger. His emotions were so explosive that a speck of water was visible in his eyes. He felt relieved and happy. Adry kisses Raina's hand and the ring. They both smiled as they wiped away the flowing tears.

"Come," asked Adry to pull Raina's hand.

"We go home, I want to hug you at home away from people's sight." Netra Raina then looked around. Some people seem to be focused on looking at them.

Raina and Adry finally get back to their car to get home. Adry deliberately took a detour and he instead went into a middle-class settlement to the top. Their car was running slowly.

"I'm planning to buy a house for us around this area" Adry said.

"Our house?" ask Raina.

"Hummm, actually I wanted to dismantle your old house just that it was too small for us and the other two children so I decided to buy a house."

"Being rich is easy, just choose what you want."

"We are rich if we are alone, then it all feels meaningless. Family is the spirit of life, Raina, that makes a man's hard work feel meaningful."
