Feeling safe, Hana dared to get out of the house of the substation owned by Lina and Ojim. They then walked up the elevator to Roy's house. All the people who were in one angkot stared at the three. Hana's stinging body odor made some passengers close their noses and whisper to each other. Their pity and empathy are addressed especially when they see Hana's makeshift wound.
"This is Mom, for Mom," said one mother giving green money to Hana.
"No Ma'am, just make me," Hana refused.
"Don't refuse the windfall, Pamali ma'am."
Hannah then saw the children.
"Thank you, ma'am, enough to pay the angkot" whispered Ojim.
"Thank you, Mom." Hannah accepted it even though in her heart she never expected the gift of others. Ojim is right, they can use to increase the cost of transportation.
They boarded two public vehicles to get to the area. Then walk again in the hot sun. Hana walked with half in her drag one hand holding the piece of wood she used as a stick. Ignoring her pain hopes to meet her family now.
"Sau Kak" whispered Lina to Ojim.
"Sister's money is just a -" Ojim took out ten thousands folded from his shabby denim pants pocket.
Lina could only gulp her saliva. When looking at the grocery store displaying various drinks in the refrigerator made her throat feel choked.
Hana stopped immediately. He took his twenties out of his pocket.
"Ojim bought Lina some drinking water" said Hana. Ojim then bought him a bottle of cold drinking water. They drank it together, after offering it to Hana but Hana refused.
"For you guys."
Hana sat on the sidewalk, observed the two and smiled. Their affection both reminded him of Ayu and Bagus. How's things going? Do they cry because they are not there? Roy how's he doing? Does she miss him as much as Hana who misses her warm embrace?
The thought made Hana's spirit repeatedly rise up, ignoring the pain that plagued her body especially the legs. Against the hunger and thirst he felt now.
"If you want to buy some bread for the change."
"No, it's for pocket money if it comes back later."
They then walked again. The crossroads lights are red, the vehicle starts to stop. Hana and the children were about to drive through the street when Roy's car was seen stopping. Hana who saw Roy sitting in it immediately walked quickly to be able to get closer to the car.
"Wait.. wait don't go, it's Hana.." cried Hana loudly. His feet hit a rock and fell by the side of the road. The wound on his leg that had started to dry again opened and gaped.
Hana was crying hard. Not because of the pain he was getting but when his hope passed before his eyes.
Ojim and Lina who were watching closed their mouths.
"Mother Hana, is Mom okay. The wound was bleeding again" said Ojim who again confirmed the bonding of the cloth at Hana's feet.
"Mom's fine. Let's keep moving. My mother's house is not far away." Hannah wiped her tears. His spirit began to rise again. Maybe Roy didn't see it, so he left immediately.
This time Ojim helped him walk. Passing the heat of the paved ground under the flip-flops he used.
His mind became chaotic. Who was the woman sitting next to Roy? It's not like Brother-in-law. There's no way Roy's been with the other women. He has to think positively.
Roy's house is becoming more visible. A smile rose from Hana's lips.
"That's the kids' house."
"Well, Mother's house is very big" said Ojim.
"Like a palace" lina timpal said
"That's the father's house, the children's father, the mother just stayed there" said Hana.
"That's the same, Mom."
"Come, we'll walk."
They then put their feet back. About ten meters from Roy's house a car approached them. Some guy with face on the lid came out.
"Eh what do you want?'' ojim.
Hana's body was pulled inside. Ojim did not accept that he started to fight some of the big men. Lina was crying in fear. Hana can only fight as much as she can. He could only step down when his body was brought into the car. His eyes began to twitch and his body suddenly seemed powerless and fainted. He could still hear the screams of Ojim and Lina calling his name.
