"What the hell is Adry, you are neglecting your duties as CEO of our factory in Indonesia." exclaimed Carl as Adry received a phone call from his father.
Adry immediately walked out of the room leaving Raina who was choosing clothes to go to sleep. Raina caught a glimpse of Adry receiving a call with her pale face.
"Well, I've already stated that I will be on leave for an undetermined time. I sent a copy to Daddy." Adry answered the phone on the balcony making sure Raina would not hear their conversation.
"Be professional! Don't confuse personal problems with work!"
"Well, you must know that Raina is pregnant" Adry said.
"I heard it from your mother. This is good news and not good. Remember, Adry, even if she's pregnant, I won't take her back to being part of our family after what she did!"
"Well, we just heard it from one side it would be unfair not to hear it from Raina's side."
"Remember he confessed to his crime" Carl said.
Adry breathed. "I know Raina, she's not going to attack for no reason."
There was a loud laughter coming from across the phone. "You who have lived with Nita for years can still be fooled. Especially with Raina you've only known for a while."
"I can't say anything for now, Dad. It's just that my heart wants to be with him.
I heard heavy breathing from across there.
"Dad, for the time being I'm not going to the office."
"I refused your cut. You're responsible for your work."
"If Dad doesn't agree then I'll make a letter of resignation.''
"Adri. You've never disobeyed my orders. That woman has taken control of your brain so you can't see the reality. You're lulled by the pseudo-love he offers. He's only after your treasure."
"Raina's not that kind of woman, Dad. However, what you said was true if I was blind by it. Whatever Dad's clear opinion is for a time I can't determine, I want out of the company. I want to focus on my son who is about to be born. So don't stop me from doing my responsibilities as husband and father." Adry sighed and turned off the call immediately unilaterally.
She stared out the glass window in front of her unaware that Raina stole the talk from behind the wall.
After feeling calm, Adry returned to his room. She saw Raina combing her hair on the edge of the bed.
Adry sat down near Raina, looking down to lift the woman's leg and put it on Adry's lap. He started to slowly pull the leg. Like a doctor he examined her.
"It's not as bad as last week. A little smaller."
"You took good care of me." Raina put the comb over the nightstand. Enjoyed the massage on his feet.
"I'm afraid you're exhausted after we got out. I postponed our departure to the beach. What if it's tomorrow morning?"
"I'm doing fine. Even feel excited today. I haven't been around Jakarta for a long time." Before returning home Adry takes Raina around, enjoying the sparkling beauty of this city.
Adry wanted to say something but stopped him from doing it.
"What do you want to say?" raina asked, looking at the man's Jamrud's bead.
"Raina why didn't you use the card I gave you? If you do, you can live comfortably without having to work like that."
"Is that forbidden?"
"I don't like it."
Adry sighed but he needed Raina's answer to straighten out one problem in a row.
"I was so surprised to see you working in that coffee shop. Do you know how you think you know that? You don't even have food in your rented house."
"I ate there and I went home and I brought the leftovers and that was enough for me."
"You can even live better with that card why you're torturing yourself and our baby." Raina stared intently at Adry.
"My worth would be torn apart if I did. Maybe I'll do it if I don't find a job and starve. In fact, without money from you I can still live."
Adry's chest is painful. Adry swallowed his own Saliva.
"Do you hate me so much Raina that you would rather live in hardship and work in miserable conditions than accept anything from me."
"I am separated from you by my own will. You know, I feel like a dirty woman if I use your money. It indicates that I'm only using you when we're separated."
"But this is our son and he's entitled to what I have."
"You know, your mother offered me a blank check that I still keep well. Wait," said Raina, taking her foot out of Adry's hand and getting up and walking to her room. A few minutes later he came back again carrying a worn and wrinkled envelope."
Raina handed it to Adry. "It contains that check. I can fill whatever I want to leave you and Leon. Fifteen billion bargains your mother used to, or maybe more if I wanted to."
Adry's face paled, he took the envelope looking into it. A check-up with his mother's signature. Adry did not say anything, only rubbing his face rough.
For a moment they were silent. Adry took a deep breath.
"Why didn't you tell me from the beginning?"
"For what? Your unbelief has proven that you doubt me. I will not maintain a relationship that has no trust in it. You were silent but your gaze accused me. Would it be if I told the truth back then, everyone would believe me? Actually, no."
Adry remained silent. Cupped King's cheek and kissed his forehead. He smiled in sadness.
"I was angry at you and at you. I don't know what happened but I can't choose between you two. You're my wife and she's my mother. I don't want to ruin our relationship and my family's. I need time to digest and think but you're leaving quickly without a word."
"I can't see the hate in your eyes and Leon." Adry then pulls Raina in her arms.
"I was angry and hated you when I saw the footage and the photos if you and Roy were ever seen together."
"Well, how long does it take you to realize that it's all a lie?"
"That's right, Raina. You chose to leave this matter to Roy instead of asking me for help."
"You remember when you slapped me first? Did you ask me first, what happened? You trust them more than I do. And this problem is bigger and more complex than that. At that moment, all the evidence of wrongdoing led to me. I can what? Only Roy has always given me the solution of all problems."
"He does not offer a solution. If she knew that Mom was wrong she should have told me instead of just shutting up and leaving" Adry growled.
