Adry turned his gaze to the coffee that was in front of him. He should not admire any woman other than Nita, his wife. Just Nita.
Adry took the coffee and sipped it. He then looked towards Raina who was looking at him while grimacing.
"I'm just giving you a little sugar so it's not too bitter."
"Not bad, maybe I should get used to it."
"Yes, because I don't have the heart to make bitter coffee for you" Raina said trying to explain that she won't be able to make bitter coffee for him.
"You haven't answered me yet why didn't you take me?"
"Because you were emotional earlier so I thought you needed some time alone" Adry said.
"You're right, it would be bad if I met Leon in a chaotic mind" Raina said.
Raina then covered her face again and began to cry. Adry couldn't bear to see it. However, she caused her tears when she tried her best to raise Leon.
He approached Raina and grabbed the woman's body. Raina put Adry's hand away. Adry lowered her face close to Raina.
"Try sharing your feelings with someone so they don't feel heavy" Adry said. "Maybe you can think of me as a friend or a friend? Or family?"
Raina then wiped her tears. "Thank you but no! I guess we better limit this closeness."
Adry breathed.
"It's already night we should eat," asked Raina to take a tissue and sweep it to the face.
"I haven't eaten since morning" Adry said.
Raina looked at him in surprise. Even though he himself had not eaten a mouthful of rice or bread since then.
"Then we eat now." They finally rose to the dining room next to him while in front of the dining room there was a kitchen, everything was not blocked only on the bar table.
Adry sat down in her chair while Raina prepared everything.
"What are you cooking today?"
"I cook smoked meat and broccoli, I give this dish chili just the seeds I throw first so you do not spiciness," explained Raina.
"It looks beautiful and attractive" Adry said.
"Feelings must be arranged and made that way, beautiful, attractive to look tempting."
"Like women. But this is a lot of chili," said Adry distanced himself from the food.
"Try this is not spicy first" said Raina took a thin slice of meat with chopsticks to feed it.
"Try if you don't like it don't have to be eaten" Raina said.
"Are you going to force me like you forced Leon" asked Adry.
"You have to try something first and say you don't like it or don't want it. I cooked it a long time ago, at least a little appreciate my struggle," Raina said with an amused smile.
Adry then bites Raina's feed. The woman awaits Adry's response.
"Slightly spicy but not too spicy for me to eat, it tastes sweet and legit. Smell in the mouth" said Adry.
"I told you what, you should try it first and then reject it if you don't like it."
Raina serves Adry well. Like he did for Leon. The man also looks more relaxed than yesterday even though it still feels the distance between them.
They then cleaned up the food together.
"How's Leon doing?" ask Raina.
"It doesn't look pale anymore. The doctor told me that most likely this week Leon will get his kidney donor and have surgery done."
Raina's face immediately beamed happily she hugged Adry and surged happily.
"After a long time, I was looking forward to this, finally this news came as well. Thank you very much" said Raina.
Raina looked at Adry's stiff face, she then stretched her arms.
"It's okay, I was also happy when I heard this news from the doctor I met."
Raina resumed washing their dishes.
"That means Leon will be in the hospital until the surgery takes place?" raina asked without looking at Adry.
"Yes, until the recovery period he can just go home" said Adry. Standing leaning against the sink accompanied Raina.
"I'm happy with this but unfortunately can't wait for him for twenty-four hours" Raina said.
"That's the rule here."
"Hmm, after that I have to come back here? Alone," he muttered but was still heard by Adry.
"I'll have a house tonight, so we can talk" Adry said. Raina smiled faintly then returned to the sofa turning on the television. Adry followed.
"Your wife, when is she coming back?" ask Raina.
"I don't know?''
"You're her husband and you don't know when your wife's back?" Raina wonders what Adry's household is like.
"I haven't contacted him since I was with you, maybe he's been busy so he hasn't contacted me. It's not usually like this!"
"That means it's because of me" Raina said. Adry raised both his eyebrows upwards.
"I've said it's very hard for women to share husbands with other women even if it's just for formalities" Raina explained.
"Maybe? Indeed, we are usually busy with our respective work but communication continues. It's just, it's different now, he hasn't contacted me."
"You're less sensitive to women. Your wife needs attention. You should take the initiative to call her first and give her a lot of messages like good morning, have a meal or something."
"That was weird for me to do," Adry said, making Raina open her eyes wide. He could not believe that a husband was cold to his wife.
"You know why you should do that? So that she doesn't feel like you've ignored her" Raina explained.
"I've never done that" Adry said.
"It's obvious you're a cold, cranky guy. You also rarely smile and once smiling does not look sincere. I bet you forgot how to laugh."
"How do you know that?"
"It's clearly imprinted on your face."
"You and Leon are very different. Leon always smiles even though he is in pain and likes to laugh at trivial things" said Raina.
Adry looked at Raina. "Maybe that trait is down from you."
For a moment they were silent staring at the television screen but dissolved with their respective thoughts.
"Will your wife come home from this apartment or will she go back to Indonesia?"
"We have our own dwelling somewhere else, within this city as well. This apartment I rented specifically for you and Leon."
Raina let out a long breath.
"That means you're going back to your house if your wife comes back?"
"Have you not been sleepy?" Adry tried to divert the conversation. He started yawning.
"Last afternoon I slept a long time" Raina said.
"Then I go to my room" said Adry standing up.
"Wait a minute, I want to talk to you about it" Raina said with a serious expression holding Adry's hand.
Adry then sat down again facing Raina.
"What do you want to ask?"
"Are you going to take Leon after he's healthy?" raina asked anxiously looking at Jamrud's green-eyed bead. The woman had refrained from asking this from earlier.
