Don't Promise!

Another incident happened to make Roy laugh to see it. The woman looked scared when she started stirring the seasoning to make stuffing for the sandwich.

His hand reached but his body was kept away from the pan.

"Akh, the oil will splash into my skin" cried Karina.

"It's not as scary as you think." Roy then turned off the stove and started to get behind Karina and they started from the first. He now controls the woman's body. His hand held Karina's hands and taught her how to put spices and get food.

Finally, the food that looked easy was finished as well. Roy-style egg roll sandwich looks not so interesting because the chef is still learning but it does not feel bad.

They ate it and Karina was very proud of her first cooking.

"It's not so hard" Karina said staring at the sandwich with a beaming face. Roy himself sighed. Just making sandwiches alone should create a furore in his kitchen. If she doesn't help him cook she's sure Karina will destroy her kitchen.

"But my skin was a little bit splashed with oil" said Karina showing her flushed skin.

"Why didn't you say that earlier."

"That's exciting and I don't want to ruin that moment with just this little cut." Roy got up, left, he came back with a P3K box. Then apply the burn cream on Karina's hand.

"Are we really getting married?" ask Karina.

"What's your religion?" ask Roy. All this time he was an atheist, not thinking God was important.

"Then what is your religion. Why don't I think about it?"

"Actually, if Papa Carl and Mother Janeta are orthodox Christians, and Brother is with his wife, Islam, while I know nothing of religion and God. But I believe it was there when I started to fear losing you. I prayed and pleaded with Him for the first time."

Karina was speechless, unable to say anything for now.

Finally they decided to get married according to the beliefs of Karina (Othornya g will discuss about this. They're done getting married, okay)

The first thing they did before starting everything was to meet Karina's mother. The woman is in good condition in the hospital. The doctor said Karina's mother was just feeling a bit of shock.

"Mother, " said Karina who saw her mother sitting on the bed staring at the view out the window. The still beautiful middle-aged woman turned her head and smiled.

"Finally you came too" said his mother. Karina then came forward and hugged her mother.

"Son Roy," said Ms. Karina to see the man behind Karina.

"Mother, " Roy reached out and shook Karina's mother's hand.

"You're here to take Karina, '" she said awkwardly. He never felt this when he met anyone.

"Thank you for all your help and thank you for taking care of my son. I calmed down when I saw you were nearby."

Roy scratched his non-itchy nape.

"We brought you some food and a change of clothes." Karina placed the paper bag on the table mostly containing branded clothes and one bag containing food supplies.

"Thank you, dear" said Lilis, Karina's mother.

"It's all Roy bought."

"I have to say thank you how many times. You've helped us a lot."

"Not to be confused. Let's just say I'm part of your family."

Netra Lilis. His eyes suddenly spread. "When everyone avoids and blasphemes us, you come like an angel."

"I'm just a human being, don't praise me like that. It embarrassed me" Roy said.

They talk more about the past and Roy listens attentively. Until the time they had to leave.

"Mothers. I know, I'm not a perfect human being, I have a lot of flaws that you might know about later. However, I have a strong desire to build a family with Karina. That's if you let."

Lilis looked at her son. Eyes glazed. "I'll be calm if he's with you. You came at the right time when we needed someone to help us get out of this whole thing."

"I'm the one who'll be the happiest to see you two get married."

"Then may I marry you today. We don't know tomorrow what's going to happen so I don't want to delay anything good."

Lilis gasped, unable to say anything, only raising her hand up with a smile and then nodding.

"Then do it now."

Karina smiled broadly hugging her mother. "Thank you, Mom."

Then how did Roy do it all in such a short time, Karina had no idea. Someone came carrying a shirt and someone else would decorate her in the room and some of her men began to arrange a simple wedding in the treatment room quickly.

Eventually the two of them had finished their marriage and they asked Lilis for prayers and blessings. With water splattered because of happiness Lilis eyes blessed their marriage.

"If your father had seen this, he would have been happy" he said.

"Son Roy. We are her parents, always loving and taking good care of Karina. Always try to get Karina the best. We have always given him complete love and affection. She has now become your wife. I hope you can love and take good care of her."

Roy nodded.

"I know that Karina is not a perfect woman and lacks many things. If you feel like your love for her is gone or you feel like there's no match anymore then give her back to me again. There's no need for you to yell or scold him because his heart won't be strong enough to accept that. Maybe you already know about his illness. If you yell angrily at him it will be fatal. So just give him back to me or if I'm not around, let him go."

"I won't let go of her hand unless she asks for it herself" said Roy holding Karina's hand and looking at her.

"I won't let go of my hand to you either" Karina said steadily.

"Then be a good wife.According to your husband's wishes as long as it is good for you. Love him with all your heart as I did your father. Remember one thing, no matter what happens you have to strengthen each other. Never give up and one more key to success in a household is honesty and full trust. If one of you stained him then that's one step toward a rift in a relationship."

"I understand that very well. I also knew the pain of being betrayed, so I wouldn't do it to Karina."

"Not much to promise because we don't know tomorrow. Just do what's best for you and your partner."

"Yes, ma'am," replied Roy looking down.

"I trust you with all my heart so don't break this trust by hurting Karina."

"Okay ma'am, I'll try to do what's best for her."
