NANDES: THE BEGINNING OF TRAGEDY

I stared at the ring in front of me. Heart shaped eye ring. The ring I ordered a month ago for Dew. At the moment we are silent, there is a misunderstanding that is not spoken but we can feel. I looked at the ring like there was dirt stuck there, then I let out a long sigh. 

Suddenly Monica walked in casually without knocking on the door, as if this was her office “ Hai Nandes, how was it? You read the proposal yesterday?”, Monica took a seat on the sofa in front of me. 

I sniffed in annoyance. “ Make it a habit if you go into a room people knock on the door first. I've read ”, I'm sitting leaning back in my chair lazily.

“ Loh. I want to go in here to read the prayer first" replied Monic cuek. " why? there is a problem?”, Monica asked while opening one of the candy wrappers on the table.

I took a breath and closed the ring box, put it in the desk drawer. “No”, I brushed off that question. 

“ Must be because of women. That little guy? Well like you love to die ya”, Monica guessed. A moment's silence before she continues “ Nadia wishes you Nandes. If you don't like it don't make it fall to you”, Monica reminds.

“ I've told her many times Mon. I don't like it, I don't want to be with him. Somehow he never heard what I said ”, I replied with a little reluctance. 

“ Hmm. I know. But there are some women who have to look with their own eyes so that they understand what you say”, Monica stands up and walks towards my desk.

“ Please sign the boss. Later my secretary will come to take”, Monica and then leave the room to leave me. 

I stared at the documents on the table, as if not interested. It's been three days since I had to go see Dewun. I'm angry but it can't be like this, I have to talk to him.

After returning home from the office I went to the Dew boarding house and found Juan there. I got out of the car and Juan looked at me with a cold look. I saw it without a word.

“ Wow it turns out you guys are still with”, Juan spoke casually.

I laughed coldly “ Sorry to disappoint you Juan. You better throw away your hopes like 10 years ago”. 

“ I admit it was my fault in the past. Now I will fix it, I will take back mine”, Juan said flatly.

“ Dew is not yours. Let him decide who he is with. And again I will marry her”, I look at Juan meaningfully.

Juan nodded, he got into his car and left me standing with a troubled mind. The next few seconds I saw Dew emerge from the end of the alley, I breathed a sigh of relief as they did not meet. There was a fear in my heart that I did not show anyone. I'm afraid the Dew chose Juan, I'm afraid he left me. 

I smiled at the Dew who was looking at me. A smile that hides all my worries.

The sleeping dew in my arms. I looked at him closely, tracing his face his nose, his lips up to his shoulders. I sipped the scent of her hair, buried my head there. 

I took the ring box under the pillow I had prepared. I looked at the ring and attached it to the ring finger of the Dew. I smiled and closed my eyes to sleep with him. 

When he wakes up in the morning, he sees a ring on his finger. He looked at me like he was confused. 

“ Will you marry me Dew?”, I asked expectantly. How could I propose to her on the bed, I curse myself.

But beyond my expectations, he cried. He nodded and hugged me. I smiled happily, I hugged her tightly and kissed her many times with great affection.

“ I love you”, I whisper on his neck. 

For a whole week I saw happiness radiate in the eyes of Dewun. He always ran towards me, laughed with me, spent time together. Until the day he disappeared without a trace.

My biggest regret is that I didn't pick up the phone from him. Had I not been such a lapse, this calamity might not have happened. 

A regret I will endure for the rest of my life. The beginning of my destruction when I saw Dew lying on a hospital bed. My hatred when I saw Juan covered in Dew's blood. The thing I was thinking about was how desperate was he to kill himself? What the hell happened to him? Why is he unhappy with Juan?.

That day…

Elsa came to me in the office crying, she made a fuss in front of my office door. 

" I'm sorry ma'am, but if you haven't made an appointment you can't see the director", my secretary is upset.

"  Nandes.please", Elsa sobs.

I caught Elsa who was about to topple over in a hurry "Hey.. Elsa what's up? Slowly", I calmed him down and sent my secretary out with one nod.

I gave him mineral water. He's like shaken. Instead of receiving mineral water from me, Elsa grabbed my collar and spoke between her sobs.

" Quick..Juan kidnapped Dew", Elsa spoke in a frightened tone. 

" What? Whatchu mean? ", i'm surprised.

Elsa took a breath and told me how Dewun called her and asked for help. 

" I tried to call Dew's phone but couldn't", Elsa sobbed "and when I called Juan, she said she was going to marry Dewun the way she did", Elsa cried the more she became. 

My mind was blank, I didn't expect Juan to be that close. I was silent for a moment until Elsa pulled my shirt back.

" Nandes is quick to find. Dewun. Hurry up", Elsa snapped at me, putting me back in the real world.

I stood up to take my phone and hurried out of the room. 

" Where are you going?", my secretary rebuked. 

"Cancel all appointments today and please take my sister in the room home" I said firmly without looking at her.

The second day I still couldn't find the Dew. Finally I desperately went to the residence of Juan's extended family. I have to find her. 

I pressed the horn in front of the fence aggressively. Until they finally opened the gate for me. I was here a long time ago, when my relationship with Juan was still fine. 

I walked to the front door of their house but was stopped by several people. 

" So move, where's Juan? Get out", I fight. 

" I'm sorry, Mr. Juan isn't home" one replied  

" Juan ! fucker out you! ", i screamed in disobedience. 

Someone came out of the house "What is this storm?". 

" Flit", I know him. Oldest brother Juan. 

" Nandes is what you're doing. Hey let go let him in. He's my friend", Flit spoke to the guard. 

" No Flit. Tell me where Juan is?", I can't wait. 

" Juan is not here. What's the matter?", Flit approached me. 

" Motherfucker. Don't hide that bastard", I grabbed Flit's collar of emotions. 

" Hey . hey.. What's going on? I didn't lie to Nandes", Flit tried to calm me down. 

I took off his collar, I knew Flit he couldn't possibly lie. " Flit help me", I looked into Flit's eyes sadly mixed with fear. 

"What's Nandes? What happened?", Flit was confused.

"Juan. Juan kidnapped my fiancee".
