Deepest Wound

Deepest Wound
HOMESICK

...Happy reading...

I went back to Om Wandy's house and waited for him to come home. I wanted to ask Om Wandy to find someone to pay to clean my house. Because I have to get back to work as soon as possible. Even I've had more holidays than my leave.

I want next month when I get back home it should be clean. I also asked Om Wandy to find someone who could calculate a good date for my move later. In our area, even people in this area also still believe about good dates and good months.

Although that good date in my opinion is the young date 😅🤣️

As the company grew, it kept me busy until I returned to the city almost three months later.

I saw my house look clean and well-maintained on appeal a few months ago.

Om Wandy helped me to arrange my things, and then the night I called Mr. Ustadz to go to a lecture. I also invited my neighbors.

Before the lecture began I called Kak Laras to tell him this happy news. Laras is very hysterical. I heard Brother Laras crying. Maybe she was crying because she was happy. I turned off our connection after the recitation was about to begin.

The study went well until it was finished. Om Wandy helped me to clean the room after the guests had returned to their homes.

"Would you do anything?" I advised Om Wandy while glancing at the wall clock that already showed at 22:05.

"Om borrow your room, huh? Replace you who sleep on the sofa," said Om Wandy.

"Enak. There's still an empty room, why Anita's room!?" My annoyance.

Om Wandy chuckled at having managed to prank me. "Om tomorrow I have to get up early, there's extra work. This is the first night you sleep in this house. It would be better if you yourself were to judge the extent to its mystique." Then Wandy laughed again.

"Not funny!" I went into the room to change clothes.

Om Wandy was right, this is my first night staying here. The first night after I bought this house.

After Om Wandy came home I locked the door and made sure the windows were all locked. Then I went into the room and laid my body on the bed. Because I was not sleepy, I finally took the initiative to call Kak Ardi. I got a clock on my wall that shows 22:35. Usually, Ardi's sister is still awake at that hour, so I just find her number and call her right away.

I called her number a few times but I wasn't picked up. I finally decided to close my eyes even though my brain kept thinking and wondering why Ardi didn't answer my call.

That morning I was getting ready to go back to work again. Before leaving I went to the house of the neighbor closest to my house to just say goodbye and nitip house. This is also what I learned from the way the people in this area.

I say goodbye to Ina, the person closest to me and our house is also next door.

When I say goodbye my phone rings a few times and I let it go when I see the name of Kak Ardi that appears on my phone screen. I'm still upset that he didn't answer my call last night.

"Why not pick up first, An?" Ask Brother Ina.

"Later on the road" I replied. Then I said goodbye and got into the car I had rented. I don't feel good constantly bothering Bang Fauzan.

When I was in the car I immediately contacted Ardi.

"Hello, Anita? Sorry, I fell asleep last night because I was too tired so didn't hear when you called me. You must be at Om Wandy's, right?"

I could rarely come to town, and certainly not every day I could contact him. When my call was ignored I felt disappointed. Is my attitude excessive?

The driver stopped his car right in front of the house where I was living. After paying the rent, I went straight inside. Even though I stayed for a while, somehow my house looks so dirty. My eyes hurt to see it, although tired finally I prefer to clean first and then I take a shower and rest.

My busy life in the world of work really takes my mind off. If the first time I always think about how I can return to the city as often as possible. But this time I don't even think about going there. Unless there is a very urgent need. Though access to the city has been fairly smooth.

I was often given assignments by my superiors to help him in personal matters. My superiors often buy the land of villagers who want to sell their land or gardens. This is common if their children are there who want to continue their education to college. The parents will sell some of the land they own. And I'm the one who takes care of the sale. This is what makes me more excited because the wages I receive even exceed my salary in the company.

I intend that someday I will also buy some acres of land and achieve my dream of owning a plantation. What else the price of land offered sometimes tends to be cheaper. I can definitely buy it. My inner.

A few months later I went to the city because I missed my home and my neighbors so much.

"Assalamua'laikum.," I said as I opened the door and entered my house.

I went straight into my room and changed into more casual clothes. Then I opened one by one the incoming messages. Guess who filled the inbox on my phone.

I put my phone back on the bed when I heard the doorbell ring.

"Sir Ina, come on in," take me to Ina's sister who was visiting that afternoon.

"No, I just want to send a message from your friend." As Ina handed me a guitar.

"Friends?" I doubtfully accepted the guitar.

"From Ardi," explained Ina.

"Oh, yes. Thank you," I said gladly. Then Brother Ina said to go back to his house.

I brought the guitar into my room. I wanted to call Ardi and say thank you to him. But I chose to read all the messages from him first.
