Deepest Wound

Deepest Wound
SAD AND HAPPY

All night I could barely sleep. My brain keeps thinking about how I can have the house I've lived in for about six years.

There is no day where I do not think about the house. I started to stop thinking about it when I entered the third month. Maybe the house is already sold and I have to be sincere.

That morning before I went to the office, I had two guests and one of them was Bang Fauzan.

"What's up, Bang?" I asked a little astonished because I saw from their faces there was panic.

"There is something that this uncle wants to convey to you," said Bang Fauzan while hinting at the person with him earlier to speak.

"Look, is Anita's son Bu Siti's grandson?"

"What does Uncle Oma Siti mean, Miss Diana's mother?" Ask me to make sure.

"Yes, that's right."

"Oh, yes. I'm his granddaughter." Although I actually feel sick to claim to be his granddaughter. "What's up, huh?" Ask me then.

"Look, can Nak Anita come with us to the village? Because here I was only assigned to pick up, the rest I also do not know," said the Uncle.

"Now?" I panic.

"Yes, son."

"Wait a minute, I have permission first," I said as I went inside and took my bag.

Although the distance of the office was close, I still asked Bang Fauzan for help to take me there. After getting my permission I immediately left for the village with Bang Fauzan's car and Uncle who had delivered Oma's message.

Arriving there I saw Oma Siti lying weakly helpless. I approached him trying to talk.

"Oma.., it's Anita." I spoke quietly near Oma. I thought that Oma would not hear me, it turned out that Oma had reacted immediately. Slowly Oma turned towards me.

"My grandson...."

"Yes, Oma." I'm closer to Oma.

"The embrace of Oma." I immediately hugged Oma, not feeling my tears. I was sad and happy. Sad to see the state of Oma, but happy because finally Oma recognized me as her grandson.

"Sorry Oma, huh...?" Oma said in an almost inaudible voice.

I can no longer speak. I just nodded with tears still pouring out.

I let go of my arms when I no longer felt a response from Oma. Just when I lost Father back then, it seemed like Oma had also left.

"Omaa...?" I'm still trying to build Oma.

"Your mom's gone, son." I didn't know who was speaking at the time, because there were a lot of people gathered behind me. Only then did I feel that happiness, and Oma was gone.

I extended my permit to three days after Oma's funeral. Mama didn't come and maybe she didn't know Oma was gone.

Although my other family seemed to accept me, but I could feel that their kindness was greatly forced. But I just ignored it in these three days to be patient.

Even though I haven't been able to give anything to them, I can at least reward the people I care about with a do'a.

After the tomb I say goodbye to my family to return to where I work. Bang Fauzan again became my driver to drive me back.

"Well, why stop here?" I asked when Bang Fauzan stopped in front of a house that I knew was the house of the village's village headman.

"Follow it, later you will know, too," said Bang Fauzan and I just according.

After saying our greetings and knocking on the door we were immediately let in by the host. I still wonder in my heart, what is it exactly?

Not long ago the head of the hamlet came out from the inside with several maps in his hands.

"Look, I don't want to waste time and immediately I want to convey the mandate of Bu Siti and Bu Nur before he died. This is a land title which at the request of the lateumah has been bequeathed or granted in the name of Nak Anita as his grandson." While the head of the hamlet gave the two maps to me.

"This decision can no longer be challenged by anyone, including his child."

I can't speak, I can hardly believe it, but it's real.

From the head of the hamlet, I finally know the cause of the dispute between the two camps of my family. Apparently, in the past Oma Siti and Oma Nur had been at odds with understanding the land border issue they had. To cause hostility because of each other feel right. In the midst of the hostility, Mama and Papa even love each other and express the intention to get married. Because it did not get the blessing of Mama and Papa had run away and married in an area. They returned to the village with me who was only a few months old.

People say, if the marriage without the blessing of parents, then the marriage will not last or can have difficulty in building a household. Maybe that's what my parents experienced. But here I am the one who ultimately becomes the victim.

It's been a month since I got the land grant. I'm still confused by the land letter. I also checked the location of the land which was not far from the location of the company where I worked. I was surprised to see the land. The combination of Oma Nur and Oma Siti. The border land that caused the enmity now belongs to me. It turns out that my second Oma was indeed famous as a person who owned a lot of land. They compete to expand their land until it eventually becomes hostile just because of the border land.

Now I'm used to the atmosphere where I work.I don't complain anymore like when I first worked here. Me and my boss are also now more familiar, even we are like friends.

Although it has only been running for more than one year, this company has been very advanced. Even today I am tasked to find new land for the benefit of this company. Me and my two colleagues came to the villages in the area and there were some residents who wanted to sell their land and some who just wanted their land on rent. But the land is still lacking because the company needs more land.

After receiving a salary this month I intend to go to the city again just unwind after dabbling with a myriad of tiring work.
