Chapter 98 - Flashing

Actually the reason for the refusal to turn on other humans that Leon said is the third reason and that is not the only reason Leon refused to help them.

It is true that he does not like to help blizt who is willing to attack the devil silent. But his first reason was because he wasn't sure if he could bring those blizts to life. He knew his true ability was to break destiny. Even because of this ability, he could decide the fate of the death of someone who should have died coming back to life with a changed destiny. Even so, he did not know the next destiny of the person.

If described, then like a forked road, then one would be on one of the roads. Then Leon uses his ability to break destiny, then the person will move to another forked road. "My name is Nixon."

Leon just kept quiet without looking at the man. His eyes focused on Kite who was lifting a single corpse and carrying it to a predetermined point. The plan is they'll burn these corpses before they become undead.

Seeing Leon not looking at her, it did not make Nix give up. He said, "I saw you heal Nev. No, rather bring it to life."

Still no response from Leon made Nix say again, "This is indeed selfish and shameless, but can you also revive them? I-i know... We've been intending not well since we got here. But they still have a family waiting for them.

I can't tell that guy that the family they're waiting for is gone. They're... I would be hurt to hear it.

You may not understand this feeling. But it is a painful feeling to be left behind by someone who is very dear to you. The family waiting for them to come home is like that. They expect Father, brother, spouse or child to return home safely."

Nix immediately dropped himself and kowtowed at Leon. This made the young man flinch and directly looked at Nix who was prostrating under his feet.

"Therefore, I beg you... Please bring them back."

Leon neutralized his expression. He was silent for a moment and looked at Nix without feeling pity, "I can't."

Nix was stunned for a moment. He immediately raised his face and looked at Leon, "A-I know that we've been planning this silent assault. You feel angry about it and definitely don't want to revive them.

But I promise you, if you want to bring them back to life, I won't do any mess here. I will speak to the higher-ups to never enter the demon world again and we will not attack the demons unless they injure the humans in our world.

Because of that, please.. Give us a chance. Let them live again. With the power you have, you can definitely do it–"

"If you promise to make all blizt never attack demons even if they attack humans, I still can't do it. Everyone has boundaries, including me."

The answer from Leon made Nix instantly silent.

"...For now, we have to burn their bodies."

Nix jerking. He stood up when he heard that speech. He knew that Leon planned to burn the bodies of his comrades so as not to become undead. But he's not really sure if it turns out Leon will do it.

"This may look cruel to you. But if not done, then they could rise again into a mindless undead. You too." Leon glanced at Nix with a cold look.

Nix was stunned to hear Leon's words. He noticed the demon who started walking closer to the pile of corpses. No words could be said from his lips. Because he has no resistance to all these words.

Leon stopped walking. He glanced back at Nix, "And so.. I understand the feeling of abandonment you're saying. You probably won't believe it. But you know, the devil has feelings, just like you humans."

Leon walked back and ignored Nix's reaction. The thin-moustached man looked surprised. The words from Leon sounded like a lie, but not with him. He felt that Leon's speech was like a big blow to his soul and it was like a reality that was not known blizt.

"So seriously you talk to her like that?" Kite is holding back a smile.

Leon replied, "Is something wrong?"

"No, but do you really have feelings? I think other demons have feelings, but not you. No sentient being would eat the flesh of his own race without guilt or disgust like you."

Leon looked at Kite coldly, "You don't know anything, just shut up."

Kite expressed fear, "Huu~ is scary. Could I be your meal tonight, hahaha."

"You want to test it?" Leon walked up to Kite until his shoes came into contact with the shoes of the interlocutor. He rubbed his cheek with his thumb to make Kite freeze in place and involuntarily held his breath.

"I can start with your face. It just so happens that since I was in the human world I have not eaten a single demon. You can be the first."

Kite immediately retreated his steps with a pale face, "T-no, I was wrong.. I won't talk like that anymore."

Leon lowered his hand with a slightly downward glance, "It turns out your flesh is tender. I want to try it."

Leon looked at Kite with cold glittering eyes, "Do you want to break one hand? I'll grow it again later."

"Stop that joke. Y-you're not funny when you're joking like this," Kite now feels cold nape.

"I'm being serious."

Kite instantly froze. He looked at Leon without replying to a single word and daydreamed about it.

Silent silence Leon smiled thinly because it managed to make Kite silent. He turned his face back to cold, "It is better to burn the corpse immediately."

Kite regained consciousness from his daydream after hearing Leon's words. He watched as Leon walked away from him, "He was joking, right?" his inner.

Kite continued to stare at Leon for a while before finally walking towards the fireplace that had just been lit by Need before. He picked up a piece of wood that had partially burned and started burning all the bodies.

"ah! I just realized it" muttered Kite. He noticed the flames burning flesh piled up in front of him, "They should have been the undead since. But why aren't they? Do they take longer to become undead? Or because.."

"..They're not demons?" mummified Kite.

In addition to Kite, Leon had similar thoughts about this. Leon hasn't told anyone yet.
