Chapter 25 - Different

"What the hell is he?! He said it would only be a light warm-up to begin with, but why would it be like this?! This is not a light warm-up..!!!" leon grumbled in his heart.

Currently, Leon is being chased by a wild tiger that Need has just sent to his place. The tiger was very fast and kept trying to pounce on him. The young man used his teleportation ability and sent the tiger to him.

"Damn you Need..!!"

Need, who was standing on a tree, was delighted when his name was called for the first time by the present Leon. Even the exclamation was so loud that it made his heart flutter.

Leon was upset. Even it was depicted on his face which was always flat expression. I don't know why he could say the word 'fuck' earlier. But he had never said it before. But now it feels like he says it often.

Leon tried to avoid the tiger's safety. Passing uneven paths and tree root roots sticking out of the ground, made it difficult to run well.

Unintentionally, his foot hummed the tree roots until it fell down. His face was facing the ground. He whimpers a little. The tiger was ready to eat it.

Leon turned his body around until his gaze could see the tiger slowly walking over to him. He pulled his body with his hands to retreat backwards. His head shook as if afraid if the tiger ate it.

As the tiger's mouth was about to reach Leon, Leon immediately closed his eyes. However, Need directly teleported the tiger to where it was before.

"For the first practice, this is a good achievement,"

Prok Prok Prok Prok

Need stood in front of Leon clapping his hands. He was happy because Leon could do well, even though he fell.

Leon opened his eyes when he heard Need's voice. He looked around. There was no tiger anymore, there was only Need in front of him.

Need stopped clapping. His expression turned flat, "But just doing such a thing is not enough. The way you run is far from good. Your response to danger is less. You're still so happy not far from your previous self."

Leon bit his lip. He did not know how he was before, yet he felt he had just been underestimated. Although maybe Need didn't mean it that way, but he felt that way. He immediately stood up to the young man.

"I don't even understand my situation right now. I have also refused to do the exercises together with you. But you keep forcing me to train and fight something I don't know" Leon said flatly.

Need swallowed his saliva. This is one of Leon's previous traits. Anger without feeling. Where when he was angry, but without any tone or expression from him that illustrates it at all. Even his gaze would not change.

As the two fell silent, a bird suddenly fell from the sky and directly above Leon's head.

Need froze in place. Just now he was silent to cool off Leon's feelings, now came the animal that messed it up. But seeing a bird that was on Leon's head, made the boy look cute.

Leon felt his head and directly picked up the bird from overhead. He could see if the bird's wings were hurt. For some reason, there was a feeling of wanting to squeeze to make the bird crumble and die. This was a feeling he was familiar with, yet it also felt foreign.

When Need thinks that Leon will crush him, Leon uses his powers in the same way that he would heal Kevin.

Instantly this made Need flabbergasted. He was surprised to think that Leon would do something like this. He blinked and watched Leon begin to heal him.

The expression of the bird that was originally in pain, was now getting better. The bird stood back up with both feet. He also spoke as if to say thank you. After recovering, the bird flew away leaving Leon.

Need looked at Leon's face. He wondered what made him do such a favor. Since the beginning of the meeting, his nature had indeed changed greatly. Yet Leon healed such a weak being who had no relation whatsoever to him, it was more beyond his expectations.

Need couldn't hold back his curiosity any longer and finally revealed what was on his mind, "Why are you doing that? Hasn't his arrival like that already made your heart more chaotic? Besides, he doesn't have anything to do with you."

He could understand that Leon crushed the bird's body and made it die. But what he does now is heal him until the bird can fly back. How could he not ask such a thing?

Leon saw both of his hands that had healed the creature. Nor did he understand what he was doing. He had thought of killing her. But his heart seemed not to allow it until he finally moved to follow his heart.

"Ekhem. Importantly, we have to get back to training today" Need is now trying to shift the conversation.

Leon looked at Need quickly. His expression turned irritated.

Need could only laugh lightly, "I've said it before. You're going to fight the devil. Not ordinary demons, they are the commander in chief, the right hand of the Demon King."

"But why should it be? I can evade with your ability to move so as not to meet them" Leon replied.

Need nodded his head in a nod, "That's true. You can do it that way. But do you want to keep hiding and avoid forever? In the end, you will fight them.

Another Demon King has already destroyed your kingdom. Your troops are mostly dead for not giving up on them. Your people become slaves. Maybe you don't care about this one, but you don't have a safe place in the demon world if it's the way it is now."

"Who said I wanted to go back to the demon world?" Leon raised his eyebrows.

Need was made silent to hear Leon's words. The boy did not say he wanted to take it all back and live in the demon world, but that was not Leon's real thought. The current Leon had no idea how difficult he was to get all of that.

Power, power, influence, wealth, prosperity and respect from other demons. He did not know all that until now easily said he would not come back and took everything.

Need expressed coldly, "You don't know anything now. You used to struggle to get it. I even only know the beginning of your power from the stories of other demons, but I can feel how difficult it is for you to achieve all that with just a story.

Then what about you? You should have better understood what it's like. And now you want to just throw it all away? Just be right! This was not the choice that Demon King Leon would choose. You better think about your decision well."

Need suddenly disappeared in front of Leon. He really likes her and will do anything for her. However, he would not grant Leon such a rash choice. He has his own considerations so that Leon does not choose a choice that will make himself difficult in the future.

Leon clicked his tongue. He felt annoyed. Need instead left him in a forest like this alone and forced him to choose the option according to the one chosen by Need.
