Chapter 05 - Katly And Cracks

It's been a few days since Leon and Nevan have been staying at Rafa's house. Now that there is Leon, Nevan has no place to sleep. So that he could only sleep on the floor with a thin mattress in Leon's room. Sometimes he likes to take a bed up and chase Leon to sleep on the floor. In the end they often fight and do not get along.

The bed was big, but they didn't want one. The room alone has made them not feel at home, especially if it has to be one bed.

When in the dining room, the food is neatly served on the table. Everyone is gathered there. Rafa was always ripe, so they did not have to worry about starving stomachs.

"I don't like carrots. It's just for you, "Nevan kept the carrots on his plate to Leon's plate.

"I don't like it either" Leon replies and returns to give it to Nevan. However, the young man directly distanced his plate.

"No, you're the one who eats. Children need more fruits and vegetables to grow. If you don't eat it, you'll keep it short like this forever" Nevan sneered.

"Don't reason, keep this back on your plate" Leon said with a flat expression.

Leon and Nevan are a little surprised when the dining table is kicked by Rafa. They instantly fell silent and watched the young man.

"If you don't like it, make your own food! Or just find some food somewhere else!" pissed Rafa.

"Sorry..," said Nevan, looking down. He glanced at Leon sitting beside him, "It's your fault" he whispered.

"You started it" replied Leon.

"Already, shut up, now you better go and find some food outside! No need to eat the food I made!" Rafa's anger is becoming. He had to work hard to make this food. But they don't appreciate it. He's very upset about that.

Nevan and Leon are eventually thrown out by Rafa. After the door was closed, they cast a fierce glance at each other and blamed each other.

The sound of the stomach finally stopped them.

"Here I go to find food" Nevan said as he left.

Leon followed him. Since he had no money, he would not be able to buy food. Although he felt compelled, he had no other choice.

"Why are you following me? Go it alone," drive Nevan out.

Leon didn't say anything. He simply continued to follow Nevan without caring about his words.

Nevan threw his face the other way, "Curtain, it's up to you."

Feeling his name being called, Nevan immediately stopped and turned his body around. He tilted his head when he saw a 17-year-old girl. Her hair was pony-tailed with a smile on her face.

"Eh? I-yes that is," Nevan said nervously. But in my heart, "Who? I don't remember it. But she's so beautiful."

"Did you still remember me? I'm Katly. Remember that boring, quiet girl who always sat in the corner of the classroom?"

Nevan hit the palm of his left hand after successfully recalling the girl. Katly was a very quiet girl. But he seemed creepy to other children. Therefore, no one dared to approach him, "I remember him! It's been a long time, hasn't it?"

"ah! Turns out you remember it. I thought you forgot about me. When you were the first to approach me and befriend me. I don't think anyone wants to be friends with me because I'm boring. But you came and took me to play.

Even if you just moved there at the end of 6th grade, you can make a lot of friends right away. I thought you were amazing. Then I'm motivated because of you. I want to be like you.

After saying all that, his face turned red in embarrassment. I don't know why he said all those embarrassing words to Nevan. He was so excited that he could not control it.

Nevan blinked a few times. He himself still did not expect Katly who used to be very quiet and can be said to be gloomy, now turned into a beautiful girl who was excited like this.

Nevan turned her eyes the other way, "A-um. You're the one who's been trying to change. So you should thank yourself too."

"I'm very grateful to you anyway. Other times let's eat together" Katly said with a smile. Then he immediately closed his mouth with his hands. His mouth spoke again haphazardly.

Nevan was a little hesitant at first. But seeing the look on Katly's face, she couldn't resist and finally gave her number.

"I'll call you later when I decide to have a meal together. You take it easy, I'll treat you, hihi.." Katly smiled happily. "Then I'll see you later, now I have to go."

"All right, see you," Nevan waved her hand at Katly who was getting further away.

"Ah, she's very pretty. How could a girl as beautiful as her be Katly? I didn't expect it at all" Nevan muttered with a happy look.

Nevan looked down, at Leon. He snorted, "You just disturb the atmosphere."

Elsewhere, in an empty field. Precisely in an already abandoned house near the forest, a crack appeared in the air. The crack looks like broken glass. Then, 3 people came out from inside the crack.

After they came out, the cracks slowly closed back as if there had never been anything there.

2 Men and 1 woman. Each of them had pointed ears and horns on his head.

"Hahaha, we finally made it through that crack! I can't believe we found it by accident" said one of the men with a delighted expression.

"In this way, we can increase our strength quickly. We will surpass the demon commander. No, even more than that! We will be able to surpass the Demon Lords!" the female devil. He grinned and licked his lips.

"You relax. We have arrived in the human world. But you must not act rashly. Y'all remember? In the human world there must be 'them'. Don't let us meet 'them' or you can die" said another man. Even though he said so, he could not hide his excitement at this moment. This world is a storehouse of strength. He could not help his happy feelings.
