Chapter 02 - Cream Es

The next day, as Rafa says, he takes Leon to a clothing store and buys some clothes for the boy.

Rafa is not working yet, but he gets money from his uncle. Therefore, he could buy clothes for Leon.

After buying a lot of clothes and also 2 pairs of sandals, they went to buy ice cream and ate in the nearest chair. Rafa notices Leon not eating his ice cream, "Why don't you eat it? Don't you like chocolate ice cream?"

Leon looked at Rafa, "Is this edible? I don't think it's good to eat. It feels so cold."

Rafa tilted his head and laughed, "Hahaha, you like to joke around? Of course it can be eaten. Eum.. Is it possible you never ate it?"

Leon nodded innocently.

"All right, I'll tell you. It's chocolate flavored ice cream. Foods that have a cold taste and are also sweet. You're gonna love it. That's why try. Don't worry, these foods are harmless" Rafa explained.

Leon noticed the ice cream that began to melt on his hand. Though hesitating, he finally tried. His eyes were closed with his mouth appearing to be twitching.

Rafa smiled seeing the reaction of the boy. He usually doesn't show much expression. But now he looks very careful.

Leon opened his eyes again with sparkling eyes. Without saying a word, Rafa knew that if he liked ice cream, "I told you you'd love it. Right?"

Leon immediately sat back to Rafa, "I don't like him. It'll just be a pity if this is thrown away." After saying that, he went back to eating his ice cream.

"Tell me if you like it" Rafa shook his head in astonishment.

While they were enjoying the ice cream, from the back someone patted Rafa on the shoulder hard. Rafa is shocked and accidentally drops his ice cream on the ground. While his head looked back.

"Hahaha, are you surprised? Hmph! It should be, " Kevin said with a laugh.

"You..!! Because of you my ice cream fell!" annoyed Rafa while standing facing his friend.

"Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean it. Your ice cream is almost out anyway, so yeah.. It'sit's okay. Let it go" said Kevin lightly.

Leon turned his head quickly towards Kevin. His expression looks cold. The ice cream fell because it was surprised by the presence of Kevin who arrived.

Kevin turned to look at Leon when he felt someone was paying attention. He tilted his head in surprise, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Rafa sees Leon and the ice cream that the boy dropped. He nodded his head in a nod, "You even made his ice cream drop. Look, he's mad at you."

"I'm sorry, sorry, I didn't mean it. I think only Rafa dropped it. Apparently your ice cream dropped too? Then I'll replace it with a new one. Don't be mad at me." Kevin said with a pleading smile.

Leon got down from the chair and walked away without saying anything.

"Look~he's mad at you, hahaha," Rafa picked up his stuff and immediately caught up with Leon.

"Geez, I said I'm sorry and I'm going to replace it. But it doesn't seem like he's willing to accept it" Kevin murmured. He looked around, then left without chasing Leon.

While Rafa was chasing the boy, someone suddenly spoke to him, "Excuse me, do you know where the toilet is? I'm only here for the first time, so I don't know where it is."

Rafa stopped and replied hurriedly, "The toilet is straight, then after there is a crossroads, turn to the left. You have to pay after using it."

The man nodded his head and left after saying thank you. Rafa looked at the place where Leon had walked before. But he didn't see it. The boy disappeared in the crowd.

On the other hand, Leon has arrived at the ice cream seller visited before. His eyes sparkled for a moment, "I want chocolate ice cream."

The seller immediately prepared Leon's order. When he finished, he gave it to the boy. Leon gladly accepted it and immediately left from there.

The salesman immediately stopped Leon by standing in front of him, "You can't eat it if you haven't paid for it."

"It's mine" Leon immediately hid the ice cream behind his body. He does not like when what is already his is taken by others.

"This child.. Aren't you taught by your parents not to take food that isn't yours?" said the seller with an expression of restraining anger.

Leon shook his head, "This is mine."

"Leon? What's the matter? Why are you here?"

Leon glanced to the side. A tall young man stood next to him. The face he knew.

"He bought me ice cream, but he didn't pay for it. Then he admitted the ice cream was his, but he had not paid for it" the seller protested to Kevin.

Kevin looked at Leon who was holding ice cream behind his back. Then turn to look at the seller, "I'll pay for it. So no need to fuss about it anymore."

Kevin then gives the money to the seller for 2x the price. The seller returned to his trading post after thanking him.

Kevin shook his head when he saw Leon start eating ice cream in his hands. He wondered why the boy could be here, "Why did you take it and not pay for it? You know, it was the wrong move."

"I'm not wrong, he's the one who fussed about it. This is mine" replied Leon.

"You haven't paid, so it's not yours yet. Youunderstand? Don't do it again or you'll be in trouble like that. If I hadn't come here, your problems might have grown, "Kevin shook his head.

Leon was silent without answering. Maybe what Kevin said has a point. If he did nothing wrong, maybe other people would not behave like that to him.

Leon thrust the ice cream he held onto Kevin, "You helped me. You can try a little. Not much."

"No, you're the one who eats. I'm already full. Rather than that, why are you alone here? Where's Rafa? Why aren't you with him?"

Leon looked around and realized he was alone. He looked at Kevin and shook his head.

Kevin breathed out violently. He took the phone in his pocket and called Rafa.

On the other hand, Rafa who was looking for Leon was made to stop by the vibration of his phone. He checked and saw if Kevin called. As he was about to pick it up, someone quickly grabbed his phone to the point of making Rafa unreacted for a moment.

"My phone! A thief! A thief! Give me back my phone!" shout Rafa. Some people try to help Rafa to chase after the thief. But they lost track of him.

The people who tried to help him, now can only encourage Rafa and apologize for not being able to do anything about the thief who disappeared.

"Ck, shit!" Rafa said with regret.

The call from Kevin can not be lifted by Rafa because his phone has been stolen.
