Chapter 97 - Living Again

Radolf leaps from the top of the tree when he sees Leon coming. But unexpectedly, a hug landed. He gasped and looked slightly down, as the height of the body that hugged him was slightly shorter than him.

"Don't be careless anymore" Leon said slowly.

Radolf turned his expression into a smile. He rubbed Leon's head, "I was very surprised, it turns out you came back like this. Sorry I haven't had a chance to give you a welcome. I'm very happy... You're alive and you're here."

"Mn..," Leon just muttered. Maybe not many demons know if the relationship between him and Radolf is not just a King and Commander. Their relationship is closer than that. Leon considers Radolf to be like his own father.

But when there are other demons, then their relationship is only limited to subordinates and superiors. However, sometimes he can behave like subordinates and superiors when they are only two depending on the situation.

Leon was still in the same position for a few minutes, before finally letting go of his embrace.

"Does Need lie if Leon's gone? But what does it mean that he lied like that?" inner Radolf.

Radolf will only open his voice when Leon first opens the conversation, "I was dead, but I came back to life."

"W-what?" Radolf gasped.

Radolf stared straight at the direction the sound was coming from. He frowned when he saw Need who was with his son. He knew that the loud one was Need. But he did not understand what made him speak so loudly.

Leon was curious and approached. Radolf followed beside him.

Seeing the presence of his father, Rafa expressed his heart, "Dad, Nev is not dead. Her.. I can cure him. I'll do it."

Radolf tilted his head and still did not understand, "Nevan? What's wrong with her?"

Need seems to be getting more upset. He looked at Radolf, "The boy is dead, but he insisted on healing him. It was a futile effort. I told him to stop, but he's stubborn."

"No, I can do it!" sergeant Rafa.

"You tried it, but it didn't work" Need responded cynically.

Radolf immediately knelt beside Nevan in the opposite direction to Rafa. He checked the child's condition and there was no sign of any life from him. Not even his breath. He nodded in disbelief, "He.. It's gone."

"No, Dad. I can cure him" said Rafa confidently.

Radolf was speechless when he saw the expression Rafa had shown. He felt unbearable to her. The melancholy rout that was mixed with despair made it difficult to say a word.

Need interrupts, "See! Even your own father doesn't defend you. If that kid only had internal injuries, maybe you could still heal him because there was still life out of him. But this time it's different. He's dead and the dead can't be healed."

Rafa shakes. He wanted to say something, but his tongue was too faint to express it.

Leon could now understand what was being talked about after paying attention. He looked at Nevan, who was now a corpse. But what astonished him was the young man's body that was not as thin as the other corpses that had been consumed by the beautiful winged insect.

Leaving him aside, Leon knelt down beside Radolf. This made Radolf and Need look at him.

Without saying a word to explain, Leon immediately put his arm over Nevan's body. He closed his eyes. Actually, he never did anything like this. However, he did not want to let Nevan die.

A silvery-white light shone on his palm, followed by Nevan's glowing body.

The three people who witnessed it looked dumbstruck. They looked at Leon with question marks. But in Rafa's gaze, there was a glimmer of hope. He doesn't know what Leon is doing, but his gut tells him it's a good thing.

For a few minutes, it continued until the light began to dim and disappear along with the opening of Leon's eyes. He blinked slowly and kept his arm away from Nevan's body. He looked at the man closely.

"What did you just do?" Radolf frowned and was very curious.

But Leon gave no answer and only set his eyes on Nevan.

"Ne.. Nev..," his heart stopped beating until it finally beat strongly. Rafa could not help his happiness and immediately hugged his brother's neck.

Nevan was overwhelmed and had trouble breathing. He even coughed. Realizing this, Rafa immediately released himself from Nevan, "M-sorry.. I didn't mean it."

Radolf and Need were surprised by this. They blink many times to see if what they see is real or just an illusion. But doing so many times, did not make this scene change, "I don't think wrong. Obviously Nev was already..," Radolf could not continue his words and immediately set his sights on Need.

Need is like that too. He looked at Radolf with a big question mark in his head. He also believes that Nevan was dead. But what they see is completely contrary to the reality.

Nevan changes her position to sit, assisted by Rafa. He looked around as if in a daze, "What happened?"

"You were almost gone. But Leon did something to you and you finally came to your senses" Rafa replied with a smile on his face.

Nevan frowned. He doesn't remember what happened a while ago. Leon thinks this is because the newly revived Nevan has his memories a little messed up and his last memory disappears, whether it's temporary or forever. But seeing Nevan's reaction, Leon speculates that the young man has not lost the memory of anything important like his identity or who the people around him are.

Nevan looked at Leon with widened eyes, "You.. You're here? W-how could? Didn't you already.."

Leon was happy because the ability he had turned out to be able to revive Nevan. But he was disappointed that what he did instead made Nevan's memory somewhat less like this.

"You don't remember meeting him?" ask Need.

Nevan frowned while looking at Need. He thought hard, but found no answer. Finally he could only shake.

"It's okay, the most important thing is that he's back" Radolf said.

"What happened? Since when is Leon here? Wh-what's possible.. All I see is this ghost that's flying?!" Nevan expressed shock and spontaneously retreated towards Rafa.

Rafa was shocked and held back his brother who almost made him fall down.

"I-I'm sorry if as long as you live I don't treat you well. I'm really sorry. You look a little different, but I know it's you! You must be a curious ghost because you were killed so horribly by the monster that ate you. You want to find your body and not find it until you're still walking around like this."

Rafa blinked when he saw the reaction Nevan gave, "No, he's really Leon. Don't talk like that."

Rafa undoes the intention to retaliate when he hears a frightened voice from someone. He looked to the side. Quite far away from him, a young man sat with his head placed on his knees. He could not see his face properly, due to the distance between them. But from his voice, he could tell if he was scared.

"You should rest first" said Leon.

Nevan straightened his saliva and looked at Leon with a heart, "You're really Leon? You alive? You're not a ghost, are you?"

Leon flat expression. It was very interesting to pin the human head, but the situation is not good now.

"Leon.."

The voice from Rafa made Leon look directly at the young man. He followed Rafa's gaze and saw the corpses of human corpses lying on the ground, "Can you also bring them back to life?"

Leon, "I can do that."

Rafa looked directly at Leon when he heard that. But his continued remarks made Rafa speechless, "But I don't want to. They originally intended to attack the silent demon. I don't want to bring people to life like that."
