Chapter 70 - Neglected

Stev and Silvia looked up at the sky and stopped the fight. The current state of the sky had completely drawn their gaze and shifted focus. Those who were originally only focused on that pitch-black crystal started to worry about the state of the sky being so dark.

Even the darkness to make the scenery around a little covered. It's hard to see in this situation. Darkness now can be said to defeat the darkness of the usual night. The thunder and lightning in the sky became a light for the surroundings. But on the other hand, lightning also brought worry to many demons.

The ground started shaking so much that Stev and Silvia gasped in shock. Their bodies wavered and eventually fell down without being able to be sustained. When this happens, their bodies are actually exhausted to the point of feeling no longer strong to stand.

After careful consideration, Stev only realized how chaotic this palace is now. He had predicted that this would happen if the King fought each other. Yet.. Silvia herself clasped her chest. He felt so crowded because of the poison attack Stev addressed to him. He could also feel that some of his internal organs were having problems. Shortly after, he immediately vomited out a mouthful of blood.

The crystal was in Stev's hands. He wanted to snatch it from the man, but he couldn't. His feet were not strong enough to stand. Especially with this shaking ground. It's impossible for him to take it.

Stev slowly stood up with all his might. Even if the ground shook, it would not release the black crystal in its hand. She looked at Silvia cynically, "Give up, you've lost. The winner of this is me."

"Uhukis.. Until any time.., I will not acknowledge you as ruler.. This world..," Silvia replied with a sharp gaze.

As a cold war broke out between them, where the tree of destruction grew, the red round objects that appeared on all the tree trunks began to crack one by one. From the inside, out a white butterfly the size of a palm. Not just one, there are hundreds, even thousands in that one thing.

The white butterfly began to gather on top of the tree before it finally flew out. They seemed to glow and look beautiful in the sky which is now so dark.

The demons were stunned when they saw the butterfly. Although the size is slightly larger than butterflies in general, but they still look beautiful. Even many of the demons continued to notice him without blinking. Since the appearance of the butterfly, the ground that originally shook violently stopped.

This was the first time in the demon world. They've never experienced this before. But seeing the beauty of the butterfly wings that fly, makes anyone feel captivated.

One of the demons extended his hand until the butterfly flying nearby instantly alighted. His eyes immediately sparkled when he saw the beauty of butterflies up close.

He shouted happily, "Hey, all of you! Look, they're so beautiful! I got one!"

Seeing nothing strange about the demon, the other demons who were there began to stretch out their hands until the butterflies perched on their hands or heads.

They seem to have fun with the butterflies without feeling alert at all. Then as they enjoy its beauty, something like tentacles come out of the butterflies that perch. Two tentacles in one butterfly pierced the hearts of the demons. But there are also butterflies that stick their tentacles on the head until the demon died instantly.

No one could react. The bodies of the demons collapsed one by one onto the ground. Even the demons who were shocked by the incident immediately got stabbed and died right then and there.

The butterflies still perch on the bodies of corpses that are scattered in one village. The tentacles were still stuck on the demon's body before they finally released it and flew away with red wings.

No meaningful commotion. One village soon disappeared in just a few minutes.

The butterflies left the village with wings that returned white like never stained. Their wing movements were so graceful, and as if they were not dangerous at all.

The corpses of the demons that died from the butterfly immediately changed. Their bodies are not covered in flesh and blood. They became like bones covered in skin.

Not a single demon was left unturned from this death. So, no demon anywhere else knew of the events that lasted for the past few minutes. Either this village ends because of fate or because of shit.

The sky that should have been bright was still dark and covered in clouds. The glint in the sky had already stopped, yet it did not make the true unease disappear.

Now the problem begins to hit. These killer butterflies spread to various places in the demon world with countless numbers. Moreover, the strange round object where butterflies come out still hangs a lot on the tree.

The ones affected the earliest of course had a place to live near the forest where the monsters were and a place that was quite close to the wastelands where the trees of destruction grew. The place had even vanished in just half a day when the day should have been noon.

In the human world, the school where Rafa is now. Kevin who came late to school got a sentence to clean the toilet. He had not seen Rafa since morning, but there was something he had to say to the young man.

After finishing with a midday sentence, Kevin entered the classroom and searched for Rafa's whereabouts. Nil. He did not find the person he was looking for. He is not a close person to another classmate, so he hesitates to ask where Rafa is. Most people in the class don't like it.

He also went to the cafeteria. But not finding it. All the places he had searched, except the back garden of the school. Rafa is only in certain situations to be there, but it does not rule out the possibility if his friend is in the park.

And it turns out that's true. Rafa sat alone under the tree. There's no one here, except her. Disciples rarely come here for fear of rumors of awesomeness. But it's all just a rumor. In fact, there is no strange incident here, although the place is a little creepy with some shady trees around.

"Rapid.."

Rafa flinched when he realized the voice from Kevin. He who was originally sitting while daydreaming is now standing.

Kevin walked over and while in front of Rafa, he immediately opened his mouth. But not having time to speak, Rafa cut off his words, "What are you doing here?"

Kevin was stunned for a moment, before finally answering, "To meet you."

Rafa flatly expressed when he heard the young man's reply, "What more do you want from me?"

"Are you mad at me for what I said earlier?"

Rafa was silent because he could not answer Kevin's words. Actually he did not know whether he was angry or not at his friend, but somehow he wanted to stay away from Kevin and there was a sense of annoyance that was held in him.

Seeing no response from Rafa, Kevin re-opened his voice, "I admit to being wrong. I shouldn't have spoken so rudely to the boy. I was just too emotional. I was too shocked. I feel frustrated because it suddenly becomes a one-handed handicap.

Even when my parents came, it didn't make me better, but it made things worse. Their words were so piercing that they made me not want to live anymore.

The words of the father who did not want me to live and he who did not want to admit me who had lost one hand, that was the most painful. Even when I was sick, in front of me they were still at odds."

Rafa knows very well how the nature of his parents who always attach importance to work and ignore Kevin. Even the two friends' parents were always at odds to make Kevin depressed. But he did not expect that his parents would say such cruel remarks when Kevin was struck by a disaster.

But I was too selfish and thought of myself. I'm sorry."

Kevin smiled when he heard Rafa's words. He reached out his hand, "So make up?"

Rafa looked at Kevin's outstretched hand. He smiled faintly and shook his hand while nodding slowly.
