Chapter 87 - Reuniting

Finally all the corpses had disappeared. Most of them were still burned by the magnitude of the fire. But everything stopped moving. Now both Radolf and Need can breathe a sigh of relief. They were staring around and had yet to relax their vigilance.

After a few minutes of noticing, there was no sign of another corpse coming. They retreated slowly and walked up to Rafa who appeared to be on his knees beside Nevan.

Radolf expressed worried, "You guys are okay?"

Rafa who had finished with his affairs immediately sighed. He seemed to be adjusting his slightly irregular breathing in anger. His eyes that had been red turned back to purple. He turned to look at his father and his father's friend, "It's okay."

Radolf frowned when he saw Nevan lying unconscious near his son, "The boy.. What happened to her?"

"Nev is almost dying. But he's fine now" Rafa shook his head and sighed.

"Hmph, I told you he was weak. Evidently here, during the trip, we continue to get obstacles because of the child," Need said sharply.

Rafa looked at Need with an annoyed look, "He's not that weak. After all, he's been helping out all along."

Need slashed his eyes with a flat look, "But the one who kept getting the wound was him. His help didn't impact so much. You're the one who keeps healing him. He's just a burden here."

"You say that, as if you were the greatest" Rafa said.

"Ap–" Need clenched his hand.

Radolf sighed, "That's it... Don't fuss here. Now what matters more is what happens."

Need regulated his slightly irregular breathing. He threw away Rafa's face and looked at Radolf, "This place has energy protectors. But despite defeating them all, this protector is still there. Means this protector was probably meant to keep the residents here."

"But butterflies can still get in here. Means this is just an ordinary protector to prevent monsters from entering. Therefore, there is not a single monster that makes a scene here" Radolf said.

"Living life is crazy when it comes to kissing blood. Why are they locked from the outside? Doesn't that mean there's another demon here?" reply Need while staring at the bodies that are still burning.

Rafa commented, "There was no damage before. Then the door locked from the outside. The torch lit up without a single living demon. It means there was another demon before we got here. That's a 90% chance%."

Although not happy with Rafa's previous remarks, but now Need agrees with his words. What the young man said was true, "However what kind of demon could fight against them without inflicting any damage at all? He even lit a torch. Why didn't he just finish him off? But instead let them live and lock him in the house."

Radolf was stunned to hear Need's words. The word said is true. But thinking about it in these circumstances, it seems difficult to get an answer. They had to calm down first and just think about it further, "It's better to take a short break for now."

Need frowned with a disapproving look, "I can still walk. It's not even a problem at all."

"Man is not the same as the devil. One of the things that makes it different is physical strength. Then, we have also fought a lot, then got injured. For the good of later, it's best to rest first" Radolf replied as he looked at Rafa.

The young man agreed. He is also too tired now and no longer strong if he has to keep going.

Need let out a rough sigh, "As far as you guys are!"

He started walking towards one of the houses while continuing to grumble. He doesn't like to stop and rest. It made him feel like it shouldn't be done. But the reason Radolf said there is a point. He himself felt a little exhausted and tried his best not to show it. Moreover, the pain in his shoulders and body, making the pain spread. He should pretend to give up.

"Let father take him," Radolf intends to stop Rafa from raising Nevan. But his help was rejected.

"I can do it Dad. You better take a break. I'll heal Dad later too" Rafa clasped his brother's waist and clad Nevan's arm around his neck. It also follows Need.

Radolf shook his head and walked behind his son.

They also entered a house made of wood. It looked simple, but there was a slight splash of blood in it. This makes the house a little creepy, but they still go in there and rest in the front room. Nevan was laid in a room.

Everything was so quiet without any sound. Until the sound of footsteps can be heard by Need, or Radolf. They both have sharper hearing when compared to Rafa. Therefore, Rafa did not hear the sound of the move and could still be calm.

But not with those two demons. They immediately stood up and astonished Rafa, "Where are you going?"

"Wait here" Radolf said in a very quiet voice. He and Need stared at each other for a moment before finally walking out.

Rafa obeyed his father's words and remained inside the house despite the curiosity that enveloped him.

From the front of the house, now the two demons can see someone who walks limped, even to the point of having to be helped with a piece of wood beams as high as his shoulder.

His face was faint because he was still quite far away from them. Even so, the two did not relax their vigilance and still saw it well. They seemed to be preparing if it was an undead like before.

But what they thought instantly disappeared when they saw the situation. His clothes were torn to reveal a little part of his upper body. Blood was splattered as he walked. Even his expression did not look good.

Radolf and Need were stunned when they saw the face of the walking figure. But he seemed unaware of their presence or the circumstances around him.

"F-Flynn?"

The man with orange hair lowered his head. But upon hearing the sound of great shock that entered the eardrum, he slowly turned his head to the side and saw two demons standing in front of a house. His eyes were slightly pinched to clearly pay attention to the face until his expression turned startled.

"D-he.. How could he be here? And again.. Why is he with the prisoner?" muttered.

Not yet able to think well, the two demons who called out to him were already nearby. He was stunned for a moment and looked at Need, "You.. What are you doing here? How can you be here? You should still be in the human world."

"You yourself? Why are you here already? Ah–forget that. The present situation is even more important" Need replied.

Flynn blinked a few times. Need asked her such a thing? The commander who never cared about anything, other than the command of his Master, said the impossible thing to say? He really doesn't believe this, "You.. Talk me?"

"Who else?" Need looked flat, as if not concerned with this sense of shock Flynn was experiencing.

"What's going on?" Radolf opened his voice and this made Flynn's center of attention. He looked at the black-eyed man.

"Why can you be here? You should still be under the auspices of King Stev–no, is it possible because of that..?"

Need frowned when he heard Flynn's hanging words. He couldn't help but ask, "What do you mean?"

Flynn long fell silent before finally staring at Radolf, "Is King Stev's kingdom ruined because of this matter? Because of the monsters and the undead?"

Radolf is confused. He doesn't know how to express himself now.

Flynn's gaze was now directed at Need, "Or.. It's because you betrayed her and let her go, Pang-li-ma-Need?" Flynn said those words one by one with a cynical look.

The young man seemed to flinch at Flynn's words. He shook his head, "You better not be begging me or you'll know the consequences."

His tone sounded threatening, but this did not scare Flynn at all. He scoffed, "Are my words right? Have you betrayed us all? And now you're on her side, huh?"

Need expressionlessly grabbed Flynn by the neck to make the orange-haired man flinch from not expecting this. He looks difficult even his hands directly hold Need and try to escape. But baby, Need didn't let that and instead got stronger gripping him.

"Shut up if you don't know anything. Don't think I can't finish you off. After all, you're like a severed little tail now. Keep moving, but without a body.
