Chapter 40 - Apology

During following the directions from the phone, many times the phone came in and it was written the name 'Dear Ash'. Leon ignored it and let it go.

The journey that must be taken on foot is very far away. He was lost continuously. It was not as easy as he thought. If Teddy hadn't taken him far away to a lonely place, he probably wouldn't have walked this far. But he did not blame her, for bringing her to such a desolate place was the right choice. That way, the furore won't happen.

Too bad he can't drive a human vehicle called that car. If only he could do it, maybe this trip wouldn't be that long.

Without feeling it is even afternoon. The street lights are starting. The sky is getting darker too. In the end, Leon was able to reach the hospital after an afternoon. He asked the room where Kevin was being treated to people dressed in white.

After getting the information, Leon started to go to the place in question. Due to the large hospital, it took him a dozen minutes to find his room.

Fortunately, he cleaned his arms on the way here. That way, there will be no excitement. Although his slightly messy clothes became the attention of some people.

"This must be his room" muttered Leon. He clenched his fist and took a deep breath, then threw it away.

The door was opened. He went inside and closed the door again.

"I'm sorry for getting you involved..! You guys even get hurt like this. L'm.. I'm really sorry.."

Hearing the absence of an answer, Leon straightened his head. He saw a wrinkled old man with no hair sitting on his back in the hospital bed. The man smiled at her with a shiny head.

"Am I taking too long until she finally turns like this?" inner Leon. He was silent for a moment, then immediately patted both of his cheeks.

"Excuse me." Leon turned around and walked quickly out the door and closed it back. His head looked up and saw the writing on the door. It was the wrong room. He should have gone to the room next to him.

Leon rushed to the room next to him. He is now paying attention to the writing on the door as well as good so as not to get the wrong room as before. After being absolutely certain, he opened the door and saw the person inside.

A young man sat leaning back with his forehead wrapped in bandages. The light from the window that entered the room made her able to see that face clearly. That's really Kevin.

Leon closed the door and walked inside. Kevin seemed unaware of the door opening from daydreaming.

"I... Apologize.."

Kevin gasped in shock when he heard a familiar voice. His eyes looked at the origin of the voice and saw Leon standing near the infusion pole. He could not hide his surprise. How could Leon be here? Where's Teddy? Shouldn't he be with her?

"You.." Kevin could not say a word when he saw Leon's presence now.

Leon looked at Kevin with a guilty look. If Need saw this expression, he would definitely be excited. Leon who often had a flat and irritated expression in front of him now showed a guilty expression.

"I'm sorry for getting you into my trouble. But... I didn't know there would be such a problem. I don't remember all of them. I'm sorry, really true–"

Kevin cut Leon's words out loud, "You're just here to say sorry?! At the time of the incident, you even disappeared somewhere. Then now you reappear just to say sorry?! Is sorry enough to make up for it?!

The stranger attacked us. He hurt us. You think sorry you could give everything back?! Restore our situation as before?! Because of you, we got involved!"

Leon was silent at Kevin's words. He can see his situation now. His head was injured, even his left arm was cut off. That's a bad situation. If only then Need let him go back to Rafa's house, maybe he could have experienced something similar.

"Why are you quiet?! Can't you return my words, huh? Do you realize what you've done? Your presence will only cause trouble.

At first it was just that guy who came and sent me somewhere. But after that, another stranger appeared who injured us until we entered the hospital. Aren't you enough of all that? Do you still want to hurt us again?! You want to harm Rafa?!"

Kevin would not listen to Leon at all. He kept pressing it, "Hoo~ I know. Are you really just pretending to lose your memory so that someone takes you to his house? To keep you safe from those freaks? Therefore, at that time you refused to go to the orphanage.

Ah. It must be like that. You lied to Rafa and lied to me in order to gain sympathy. Hahaha, in the end you get what you want. Rafa let you stay at his house.

I should have realized it from the beginning. I should have banned Rafa from taking you in the first place. But I didn't do it and in the end this happened.

I'm sorry I believed you. I'm sorry I knew you. Your presence is not needed now. You can go. Don't interfere in my business or Rafa's anymore. Don't come near us. Get away and go."

Leon shook his head, "But–"

"The situation won't change when you come. My hands will not return as before. Things won't get better before you leave my life and Rafa's. You better leave now before I speak rudely."

"I–"

Again, Kevin did not want to listen to Leon's words and again cut his words and spoke in a jerking tone, "KUBILANG GO FROM HERE! NEVER SHOW YOURSELF IN FRONT OF ME AGAIN FOREVER! NEVER SHOW UP IN MY LIFE! I'M SICK OF YOU! YOU'RE A TROUBLE BEARER! I HATE YOU! YOU BETTER JUST DIE!"

Kevin's breathing became irregular due to being too emotional. He so rose blood when he saw Leon's presence. Leon's arrival only made him remember the horrific incident.

Leon couldn't say anything. I don't know why his heart hurt. Though no one attacked him, but he felt like his chest was pressed.

Without saying anything, Leon could only stare at Kevin and leave.

A few minutes later, Rafa came back into the room with food crackles, "Sorry I didn't follow what you said. I can't go home when no one's keeping you here. But I brought you and me food."

Although still feeling angry with the presence of Leon earlier, he became a little calm when he saw the arrival of Rafa. Judging from the reaction his friend gave him, it seems he did not know about Leon coming here. Better like this.

"Then, come home tomorrow. You have to take care of yourself" said Kevin, turning his eyes to the window. The sun began to set and the sky showed a beautiful orange color. He felt a little calm when he saw it.

At night, the hospital was very quiet. Most of the people in the hospital are asleep. Including all of his patients. Even so, the lights in the hallway lit up brightly.

Leon walked in the hallway slowly so as not to cause much noise. Kevin said that it hurt his heart. But he wanted to do something before he left and he could do it if everyone was already asleep. That way, Kevin would definitely not be able to refuse his presence.

He went into Kevin's room. The sofa that was near the window was now filled with Rafa who was asleep while sitting down. Kevin had fallen asleep in his own place. The window is also closed.

Actually, Leon did intend to leave the two of them. He can't be with them because it can cause problems for both of them. But at first he felt hesitant and in the end his decision was strengthened by the words of Kevin who wanted him to leave.

Leon walked over to Rafa. Based on what Teddy said, his left arm was broken and he had a bruise. Teddy didn't tell the lies. The young man's face was indeed bruised and perhaps other parts of his body were too.

Leon touches Rafa's arm wrapped around a bandage. He channeled his healing power to treat all of the young man's wounds.

Slowly, the wound he sustained recovered. The bruise on his face improved. Leon was happy when he could do it. After treating Rafa, he walked over to Kevin.

Rafa who felt the touch in his hand just now blinked his eyes. He felt so sleepy, yet he forced himself. He could see the back of the little boy standing next to Kevin's bed. He rubbed his eyes and blinked them back so he could see clearly. He squinted his eyes and realized it.

It was Leon!
